The location is excellent. All the main attractions are within walking distance. The hotel itself is fully worthy of its 4-star rating. However, you should ask for a higher floor and a room with a balcony.

Thanks to the professionalism of the Tourmapa team (Kherson), we stayed at a wonderful hotel in the heart of Istanbul, just steps away from the main historical sights. The rooms were cozy, the breakfasts were hearty, and the staff was polite and attentive.

We have visited Faros many times when visiting Istanbul, excellent location with amazing service. Warm welcome from the minute you step inside. Food is always exceptional quality. Staff are friendly and especially excellent with children, they are one of the reasons we would always choose to return to Faros in the future.

Excellent experience. We stayed three nights with my family including two kids. Hotel’s guest service is outstanding and very accommodating. Breakfast is great. Located just at the heart of SultanAhmed.

Location of the hotel is excellent, with walking distance for some of the top Istanbul attractions - Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazar etc.
Tram station is 50m from the hotel which is also very convenient. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Hotel staff are very kind and helpful. Would stay in the same Hotel again.

The location is perfect. Right on the old city 5 min walking distance from Agia Sofia. The breakfast was excellent and always fresh but everyday the same. The room very clean and spacious. People from the reception always there to help you. I recommend it to everybody. The best choice we made

No clue about the hotel but we went there for breakfast and they took like 30 minutes to serves a few pancakes and omelets. They charged hidden fees like bread or service (around 8€ in total) and prices are super high like 7€ for a coffee?!!
The waiter wasn’t rude but he definitely didn’t want to be there. Definitely no way we would repeat.

We cannot recommend Faros Hotel Old City more highly! The location, service, breakfast, and corner suite were all excellent and made our first trip to Istanbul smooth and enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.
The location was perfect, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was both relaxing and luxurious. I can confidently say this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Highly recommended – I will definitely be coming back!

I stayed at this hotel with my father for 7 days. The location is impeccable. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the hippodrome and it was really worth it. The breakfast was also very good and varied and the view was just wonderful. But the best part of this hotel was its kind, professional and friendly staff. Everyone, from the ladies who prepared breakfast, to the house keepers, to the receptionists, were all extremely warm and friendly. Mr. Mesut, the manager was incredibly helpful and gave us a lot of good guidance on what to do and see. He was really polite, kind nad professional. I can't say enough about how welcome him and his team made us feel. Next time we are in Istanbul, we will do our best to book a room with them again. 5 stars.

small and nice hotel very central, easy to get around in every part of the city. the staff is polite and kind I was in Istanbul for work and a bit of vacation I managed to do both without problems. they recommended me a place not very touristy and very Turkish and I was able to play a bit.. thank

Very safe hotel , with a great location, i was very comfortable living in it because its beside a police station.
Negatives :
- elevator is too small , it can take 3 maximum without the bags
- breakfast is not varied, repeated , everyday the same food, with a very very small changes
- food is too expensive, i bought a Sandwich for 600TL
Positives :
- Ali is a great guy , helped me a lot , i hope for him a good day
- staff is very cooperative and friendly thanks to them
- the hotel takes the customer reviews seriously

What can I say about this hotel, pure hospitality and a must stay when your in Istanbul. Take it from me the service is special especially Mehmut and Sena who always greet you and take care of you whenever you need. Sena especially well done! The breakfast is fresh whenever you need no matter what time you get up. If you need a top up a fresh portion it will be made for you.
