Marriott Stanton South Beach in Miami Beach

My wife and I decided to create a reservation for Prime One Twelve at 10:30PM on December 28, 2017.
We arrived around 9:15PM and the chaos at the check-in counter was not expected . After being pushed and having to fight for a place at the counter we were finally able to check in with a woman by the name of Shannon . After checking in Shannon told us to go to the bar and have a drink and someone would come find us . After having our drink we returned back to the counter at 10:30PM and was told that we were coming up . 10:40PM approaches and we ask is there an ETA on when we'd be seated and the answer we received once again was "you guys are coming up after *proceeds to point at three other couples * " and says someone will find us when our table is ready . After waiting again at the bar , no one ever comes to look for us . We then approach the counter again to see that the other couples were already seated. At this point Shannon saw us and walked right past us . This leads us to believe that Shannon may have had something against us (possibly due to our race) . We even heard her address an another employee as "the other girl", yet when she addressed employees of the same race as her she called them by their name . This made us uneasy , but we continued to wait patiently.
We then asked someone else at the counter could they seat us after expressing our concerns and seeing other guests be seated ( keep in mind we were told that only Shannon could arrange seating earlier ) . We then were seated and when sitting a server ( not our waiter, as our waiter who was an older taller gentleman was exceptional and did a great job ) passed by and basically threw our bread on the table without even saying anything . At this point my wife and I were on the verge of leaving but we did not want to let this ruin the rest of our evening .
We order and we then see Shannon proceed to the kitchen ( which we found strange as you don't often see a hostess in the kitchen area )
We continue to finish having dinner , although our appetite was ruined .
Now proceed to the next day and my wife begins to fall ill and we discover she has gastroenteritis, which we then find out was caused by food poisoning.
Now it brings about the question whether something was intentionally done to our food ? Could it have been a coincidence that Shannon just happened to go to the kitchen after we had placed our order ( keep in mind during the time we were waiting to be seated , not once did we see her go to the kitchen .
In conclusion ,
I am a person who employs over 80 individuals and if any of my employees were to treat our clients with such disregard it would not be a pleasant situation.
I can honestly say that I will never recommend this establishment to anyone.

I normally enjoy my experience here but this visit did not go too well. My server was...uninspired. Everyone has an off day however, her, disposition kinda blew me. Which might explain why it took so long for her finally come & greet me after waiting for, what it seemed to me, to be an excessive amount of time. Then it took, longer than usual for my food, French Toast. It wasn't very busy in there that night. And the food wasn't good. When it was brought up to my server, the look on her face, to me, was one of which it seemed like she could care less. However, in her defense, she did alert a Manager who removed the French Toast from my bill. I've always enjoyed eating here but this visit failed to meet my expectations.

Too many menu options are indicative of food that is not fresh. This was our experience. It’s a great location and classic concept that really should be executed with more care. Plates came The food we were served reflected this as the food did not taste fresh. The shakes were mediocre and the atmosphere is just okay.

Enjoy Nikki Beach establishments around the world. This was so so. Great music and good vibe just not a good experience for one. Made reservations via open table for one for lunch. Got there and there was no table. Sat me on a sofa with a bench made for drinks to have lunch. I had a couple of drinks and a snack to make the best of it but service was so slow in the baking sun that I decided it wasn't worth it to stay. This morning I received an email from Open Table because Nikki Beach reported me as a no show. Not surprised. They behaved as though I wasn't there.
