Nautilus Sonesta Miami Beach in Miami Beach

We stayed here for the first time last weekend and cannot wait to come back. The location is unbeatable as a beachfront hotel with immediate beach access. The hotel amenities were also fantastic: 1) beach chairs on the beach included (with umbrella for small upcharge), 2) food & beverage service on the beach, and 3) the same great setup at the massive pool. The service was excellent: we were happily taken care of by the beach and pool staff including Isaac, Samson, Chris, CJ, and David. Our rooms were made up every day, and we had the best time.

This hotel was awesome! The service was above and beyond to make sure our stay was so relaxing and easy. Camille at the front desk was a highlight of our trip making sure we had everything we needed and more! Would 100% come back to this hotel for the great service, food, location, and beach views right on the boardwalk!

An underrated gem with an incredible breakfast!

I recently stayed at the Nautilus Sonesta (booked via Chase Rewards) and was thoroughly impressed. It is a true underrated gem in South Beach.

* The Service: Exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely welcoming and proactive, constantly checking in to see how they could make our stay more comfortable.

* The Food: Don't skip the breakfast! It is one of the best buffets we’ve had in years. The variety is huge—from fresh salmon and cold cuts to high-quality whole-grain breads and rotating hot options. The pastries are "best in class"—so fresh and crunchy.

* The Location: You can't beat it. The hotel has a beautiful bamboo-shaded path that leads you directly onto the sand. The lobby is also stunning and very well-maintained.

* Room Tip: The hotel has a rectangular layout. Currently, the only Ocean Front balcony rooms (King Suites) are under maintenance. Other rooms don't have balconies and offer only partial ocean glimpses, so check your room type carefully before booking.

We stayed at the Nautilus Hotel in Miami several years ago, and this time we came back just for breakfast. It was such a nice experience to return. The breakfast was great, just as we remembered, and sitting there brought back so many wonderful memories from our previous stay.
We spent time talking about how much we enjoyed this hotel before, and it felt really special to be back again. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food was delicious, and the experience reminded us why this place left such a good impression on us in the first place. We’re very happy we came back.

Randomly booked a beach hotel and absolutely loved it. The service at both the hotel and the beach was exceptional—truly beyond words. We were offered complimentary chairs, towels, and an umbrella, and the best part was how attentive the staff was, adjusting the umbrella from time to time to ensure we stayed in the shade. Breakfast was complimentary as well; it was continental, authentic, and very enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again, especially considering the excellent service and facilities provided for the price.

Nice, modern looking hotel with funky edge. Trendy pool with music and drinks, but limited sun and seats fill up quickly, so come early. Daybeds and Cabanas available with minimum food and drink spend ($200 & $600 respectively). Ocean view rooms by request. We came for a group birthday party, the concierge was great with organizing champagne and food to watch the sunset and celebrate in a private rooftop space. They will charge you for everything ($7 in room can of Coke, beach umbrella, resort fee, $14 cocktails, etc).

This hotel has a great location and a really fun retro vibe. The service desk was very friendly- we even got an upgrade on our room! The pool is crowded, but it has a great view and comfortable seating, so it's easy to see why. Would highly recommend!

I just returned from my second trip to Nautilus and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. The location, rooms, and service are all excellent. We actually preferred the King room to the suite we had last time. The cafe they added to the lobby makes for a relaxing morning sipping espresso in the back yard. The back yard area with ping pong table and other games is also a welcome addition to the property. I've always had kids with me staying at this hotel and the staff have been welcoming and go out of their way to treat everyone with respect. The only reason to give 4 stars instead of 5 is that Driftwood restaurant is gone and they seem to be lacking a proper evening restaurant offering.

Great place to chill during this time of year. The room I was in was awesome. The pool area was set up nicely. Staff always said good morning or hello. The one thing I didn't care for was the scent they pumped into the lobby air on purpose....too strong and wished there was an off button.
