Pelican Residence at One Broadway in Miami

The feeling of being robbed at gun point couldn’t match the level of disgust that I have against the poor hospitality this hotel offered during my stay. In a positive sense, I feel as though I only paid for outside scenery and the beauty of it all. None of the services I received were aligned with an exceptional stay while on vacation. The customer service was poor and unapologetically rude, housekeeping didn’t exist, the rooms were infested with outside insects and rodents that intruded through the cabinets, bedrooms, refrigerators, and even in my personal belongings. Each bathroom consisted of one big drying towel and one face towel, when I requested more towels I was told to wash the ones I already had. The beds were cardboard fragile. The walls and floors were embedded with foul smells of cigarettes and smells that triggered my nostrils. Even in the bedrooms, If I gently sat on the bed it would break down. The blankets were paper thin and they gave three cover up blankets to replace the missing comforters. I can not fathom how the inconveniences that this facility placed me into during this stay. It lead me to a huge discomfort and I am still discontent with the stay. There are no intentions to publicly disgrace this facility, but I’m only utilizing this platform to highly recommend that anyone NOT BOOK through this room.

Rather strange. Compares poorly to a hotel in many ways that matter to travelers. Bathroom storage is almost nonexistent. We had to put things on the floor, both in the bathroom and the shower. There's no place to hang towels. Had to come up with some creative ways to hang them. Hard, very cold tile throughout. Perhaps that's a Miami thing but had to leave socks on all the time. Stark white interior - floor, walls, and most of the furniture. Some may like it but not to my taste. For some unknown reason I had to park on the seventh floor of the parking garage. Passed a lot of unused spaces on the way up (at a time when most guests would be in their room). Shower pressure was OK. Hot water was OK (really wanted steaming hot but couldn't get close to that). Bed was fine and slept reasonably well. Nice, spacious gym with decent equipment and good variety. Nice outdoor pool on the ninth floor. Overall, did not care for this place and we will without question stay at a hotel over this place next time.
