Hotel Monaco was perfect for an overnight stay celebrating a milestone birthday with family in D.C. We took in dinner and a show, both within walking distance of the hotel. The holiday market right outside the front door made for a picturesque backdrop for our celebratory stay. Keilon and the rest of the staff met all expectations including flowers awaiting the guest of honor upon her arrival to her room. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay. We will be back!

Bad service - prioritized the loud drunk guests. Did not bring toothbrush when called down 2 times about it and the room is in bad shape. Stains, crumbling. Not what I expected

Room was in the basement, small and had small window , I wish it was mentioned somewhere that room was in the basement, before I booked it, location is great though

Great hotel to stay at if you are attending an event at the Capital One Arena. Very cozy hotel and friendly staff.

It was my first stay in three years.
Three years ago, the COVID-19 pandemic had just ended, so the city was still quite quiet, but this time the hotel was packed with people and very lively.
The room and hotel interior were very stylish, so I was looking forward to staying there.
The front desk staff and doorman were all very kind and polite, making my stay very comfortable.
I plan to use this hotel again when I stay in D.C.

The rooms are in basement with no windows. This is an important piece of information which was not disclosed during booking or on their website. It felt like staying in a dungeon. The area is convenient and the staff is friendly but I would not stay here again because of the condition of the rooms.

We have come to this location as well as a number is others on numerous occasions and have always gotten great service until today. We waited almost an hour for our food and on top of it our daughters food didn't come out with the rest. She waited another 10 minutes. Food was cold and our friend complained his burger bun was mushy. It was not even busy, the place was pretty empty the entire time. Hope this is not a sign of the direction this one is going in.

We waited at least 10 minutes in this place and nobody came to show the menu nor to bring some drink. One of the waitresses was talking to some customers, saw us and kept talking to them all the time. The other one crossed us 3 times and didnt say anything. We decided to leave and we went to the bar across the street, where we were served right away, without waiting for!!!
Bad for you Gordon Biersch to have such shameful service!!!

This is a great place to stop and get a bite to eat or grab a drink. Best beer prices in the city, probably because it is their own beer. Try out their beers with a sampler, then order a bigger one. It is not the best beer or food, but its a safe bet. The pretzel we ordered had way to much salt on it, but its pretty big and good for at least two people. When we walked in the host wasn't there so we stood there for about 5 minutes before a server helped us. I would try and find another place to eat or drink, since this is just another chain, but if you can't decide or just want some apps and beer, or you're staying close by, then it is not a bad choice. For the beer sampler, it is only five bucks, super cheap, but when they bring them out they just place them on the table, next to the beer list, so no fancy presentation and you are not sure if you're actually drinking the beer they said it was, but it is only five bucks. The garlic fries are not a bad choice either, I would not call them legendary, but they are a safe choice.

Waited at least 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged by our server, and then over an hour for food to arrive. Our server messed up our drink order. Lack of service would've been ok had the food at least been good or unique but sadly it was neither. We would've been better off going to the shake shack across the street.

Decent food, although pricey. Staff were nice and tentative. Menu is minimal yet extensive at the same time. Definitely a more upscale place with fancier dishes than most.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Great atmosphere and really helpful and happy staff. Everything I ate there was AMAZING. I went for dinner with small plates on Friday and went back for unlimited Brunch on Sunday morning. Both meals were excellent and I highly recommend the brunch. For dessert I had the limoncello flight and it was ice cold and lovely. Be sure to try the pepperoni sauce with some bread sticks. They are known for this sauce.

THIS IS A TAPAS RESTAURANT. They don’t advertise as such but this is not a place to have a full dining experience. They charge entree prices for tapas plates that are decent but nothing to write home about. The service was good but the menu and advertising are VERY misleading. They sitting area is also very crammed and you have almost no area to move. Overall very disappointing.
