Golden Camel Registan Boutique hotel, Samarkand1 / 16
8.3
Samarkand, Omar Khayyam Street, 7A (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The owner was friendly. It was a three-bedroom, but the room was small, so there wasn't enough space to open my suitcase. There were some ants on the breakfast table. Don't eat the cereal. You can try the ant cereal.
The hotel was clean, and the shower room had a door instead of a curtain, which was comfortable. The front desk staff were also very helpful. It's a shame that my train was early and I couldn't have breakfast
The location, price, food, cleanliness, and quietness from Registan are all excellent. I recommend this as a place to stay for a two-day, one-night tour
It's especially great for viewing the Registan at night, the highlight of any Samarkand tour
There seems to be more than one way to write the address, so I was a bit worried about using a ride-hailing app. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and when I explained my discomfort in the room, they changed me
They were kind enough to store my luggage before check-in. It was easily accessible from Registan Square, so I was able to easily go see the sunrise in the morning

Samarkand, B. Marginoniy Street, House 3, 140110 Samarkand, Uzbekistan (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I made a last minute booking at Hotel Kamila in Samarkand. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of the service. Despite the suddenness of my stay, the staff was friendly and attentive to my needs
The room, although basic, was clean and comfortable, allowing for a comfortable stay during my stay. The location was convenient, allowing for easy access to nearby attractions when I felt well enough to explore
Inside the room, the desk looking over the inner garden as well as the fridge really made it comfortable for escaping the heat during the day in summer. Quiet yet convenient location in a traditional mahalla
Staff are friendly, and spoke English well. Solo female traveller felt very safe and respected. Really good value for money for those who value space and functionality over perfection in hardware etc
Overall, Hotel Kamila proved to be a reliable choice for a last-minute stay in Samarkand
Had a lovely stay over four nights. the room matches photos on booking

Great location next to the historic square. Rooms good, not super modern but functional, loads of hot water. Breakfast had a great choice and they can make eggs etc on demand
Great hotel, very central, great staff Hotel located next to Registan square. Very nice rooftop terrace with beautiful view of the square. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The best thing were the guys working on the main desk, friendly helpful and cheerful. I had to visit a pharmacy while there and they kindly helped me translate what I needed and checked I had bought the correct thing
The rooms are comfortable, the shower is good enough (nothing to write home about either way), the beds are comfortable. The staff were all helpful and spoke english well (if that is important to you)
But what makes it wonderful is the location. The breakfast room and terrace literally overlook the registan from the back. It is a short walk through a nice park to get to the registan entrance
It was a perfect place to deal with jet lag because while we were tired and didn't want to go out too much in the evening, we could sit on the terrace and enjoy the registan lit up

Samarkand, bukharskaya street, 139, 140111 Samarkand, Uzbekistan (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is also perfectly located, just a few minutes' walk from Regenstein Square and within easy walking distance of most attractions. The service was excellent, with a genuine smile and warm hospitality
Although the hotel is small, the rooms are very clean, the facilities are excellent, and it's extremely quiet. Breakfast is very thoughtfully prepared, freshly cooked to order from the provided menu
This is a very cost-effective hotel and will definitely be our next choice for our next visit to Samarkand
My family and I stayed in a quad room at Muzaffar Hotel. There is a strict no shoes inside the hotel policy and they provide slippers for you to wear indoors. The room was of a good size
Bedding was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and very clean. Hotel staff are lovely and although they have limited English, they know enough to manage
The breakfast was fresh local produce and you can request particular items if you so wish. The hotel is in a good location and close to historical sights

Samarkand, Zargaron 27, 140100 Samarkand, Uzbekistan (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The location could not be better! Our rooms were huge (and clean) with plenty of storage and places to put things. There was a small refrigerator in the room, which was helpful for cold water, fruit, etc
They did this without anyone requesting - what an attention to the details. The breakfast has a big choice and provide anything anyone would like - hot dishes upon order evening before
Above all our stays in Uzbekistan. Big and comfortable room. Very good location. Great breakfast with many options and the best, the staff was very nice, communicative and helpful.
However main plus point is the location - am not sure there is a nearer hotel/guesthouse to the Registan - literally 2 mins so ideal for visiting at least twice in a day (well worth returning after supper to see it lit up)
We had a lovely visit to Samarkand and Hotel Silver Rows. It’s a small family run hotel a stone’s throw from Registan Square
Stayed for 2 nights - room 201, well worth the extra for the balcony - great view across to the Registan. Spotlessly clean & comfortable with high quality furniture, good bed, bedding & ample hot water in shower

Samarkand, Yusuf Khos Khojib Str. 16/18 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Lovely guesthouse with very helpful and friendly staff
The pool is a lovely way of relaxing after a day exploring Samarkand. Plenty of restaurants close by. 20 minute walk to the Registan. Limited English spoken by the staff but but Google translate got round that
The kitchen is limited, if you want something to eat or drink at night, you can buy from nearby markets at day time and eat or drink at the garden or your room. There are refrigerators at the rooms
Maybe not the most comfortable rooms on the market, but great hospitality! Thanx to Zamira & the staff. The staff can speak Uzbek and Russian, also a little bit English and Turkish
Lovely small hotel with friendly staff. Large rooms look like they've been newly refurbished. Local breakfast is available and is a good start to your day
They have a "no shoe in the building" policy. If you want, you can go to Registan and several important places such as Gur Amir on foot

Samarkand, Ulitsa Bahodir Yalangtush, 47 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Had a two nights stay here, and it was very pleasant. Old school house and the rooms was very spacious. Nice living room and dining area. Conveniently located in the international quarter of Samarkand.
It offers a very individualized treat because rooms are very limited in number! Kind personnel, nice and big rooms, nice breakfast and silent! Only thing to improve is the wifi conexion (a bit slow)
He’s incredibly attentive and treats his guests with genuine warmth, which really stands out. The rooms are spacious and full of character, with vintage furniture that seems to have its own story
Towels are changed every two days, which we appreciated. While the bathroom amenities are minimal (not a lot of shampoo), it wasn’t an issue for us since we always travel with our own
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Safar in Samarkand. The cozy, home-like atmosphere created by the host—who is also the owner—made our visit feel very special
The common areas are decorated with many historical items and photographs, which gives the place a unique charm and sense of history

Nice neat and clean cozy place. All shops and main attractions are just a walk away. They have indoor restaurants and bar from where you can eat and drink. They also have alcoholic beverages at bar
Its a nice hotel with very honest employees, better for middle class
Very nice and cozy hotel. 100-200 meters from Registan. Good service and home made breakfast. Highly recommend for families and small groups.
Usefully has both Visa and Mastercard ATMs in its lobby.

Location is a bit away from the center but easily reachable to the center in taxi as low as 1 dollar. Request for a room overlooking the city to get some natural light in the room during the day
Staff were great! They provided great customer service. Hotel is a family owned hotel. Hotel was beautiful with large clean rooms. Great breakfast with a variety of choices. I highly recommend staying at this hotel
Loved the stay 😍😍😍 Cinzano Complex We stayed in for 3 nights and 4 days. Breakfast is included in the hotel stay and is very delicious
Wonderful!! Look no further! Close to restaurants and shops, easy transportation, Azim speaks English and was incredibly helpful.
Comfortable and cool room, tasty breakfast, friendly staff. The room didn't have a fridge, but apart from that it was great.
Azim and his father are the owners and are one of the best owners of a property have ever seen, very helpful and kind

Thank you for one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had to date. I’d firstly like to speak on the staff and how amazingly welcoming and hospitable they have been. They went above and beyond for my family and I
This hotel just recently opened and you can tell how clean and fresh it is. They will continue to provide the best 5 star service for you
Very clean hotel, english speaking deskstuff will arrange all your needs. Internet like many places in Uzbekistan slow. Hotel arranging fooddelivery from all kind of restaurants, because no restaurant in Hotel
Would rate 5, but room temperature is controlled only from reception. Moreover, rooms cannot be controlled separately, so you have to suffer from neighbour's preferences
Furtermore, shower pot is broken and waters flows from sides. Teapot also didn't work in my room

Guests have access to coffee, water, and tea on every floor. I haven’t seen such a caring and dedicated host in a long time – even though I don’t speak Russian well, we communicated without any issues
Superb location – the view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the Gur-i Amir Complex. It’s a great starting point for exploring the city on foot, with small shops nearby
The hotel is intimate, quiet, and peaceful. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful – everything was fresh and diverse. Additionally, we received fresh fruit in our room every day
We were allowed to check into our room well before the official check-in time. A special breakfast table was prepared for us upon arrival. They took care of our train tickets
All of this is not something you can take for granted these days. Furthermore, the entire staff was consistently very friendly and helpful. It felt very much like visiting a relative abroad — warm and family-like
I have stayed in many hotels by now, but in terms of hospitality and service, this hotel was by far the best I have ever experienced. They truly took care of everything

Knowing that the « guest houses » in the center are built on destroyed family houses. I recommend staying outside of the center to avoid propping up the further destruction of (what is left) traditional housing
Sabrina hotel feels like an occidental like hotel with a touch of Uzbekistan. Beds are really nice, the courtyard is amazing and the breakfast very diverse and good. It is really easy to go to the center from the hotel
Hotel is not exactly in the city center, but taxi has no problem to find it and getting to the main touristic attractions takes no time and no money
Stuff there is super accommodating and helpful and flexible, even when surprised with requests in the very last moment
I’ve stayed at many hotels across Central Asia, but Sabrina Hotel truly stands out for its hospitality, cleanliness, and personalized service
A wonderful, clean, and tidy boutique hotel. I was amazed by the cleanliness and tranquility of this place. The owners are incredibly kind. The breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are clean, quiet, and spacious.

Have stayed here for about two weeks and found the experience quite enjoyable. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was filling and included fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, and several hot dishes
The location is great for walking to numerous historic sites or Samarkand State University, or to many dining establishments. Would definitely stay here again
English is spoken enough, breakfast is great, and it is all low stress
Nice and clean hotel. The owners are lovely people.
When a friendly staff member of Amina crossed us on the street and showed us the way to Amina hotel. The WiFi is not always very good in every room but the breakfast is very tasty and the beds are nice
We are bikepackers so for us the Hotel was a bit pricey but very clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We were looking for a hostel but all hostels are closed because of covid

We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation with soul and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Warm greetings from Poland, and see you again! Klaudia & Stanisław
Me and my family stayed here during our visit in Samarkand. The owner and his family were very attentive and hospitable. The location is great and close to everything, and our stay was reasonably priced
The location of this property is fantastic. 10 mins walk from Registran and with several shops and cafes nearby. The hosts were very kind and always eager to please. I highly recommend this place.
This is an amazing place run by truly kind and genuine people. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warm, family atmosphere and the positive attitude of the hosts
We recommend everyone to stay here because the location is close to all tourist spots so anyone can easily walk and cover mostly everything within one day

There is a luxurious banquet hall on the 1st floor, but you can’t hear it at all in the rooms. The rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable and there is a shower. Nice breakfasts, hot and cold snacks and sweet tea
Great hotel across from Registan Square. The host of the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. We will always pick Hotel Sherdor when coming back, it feels like home away from home!
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of May 2024. The hotel has an excellent location, you can easily walk to all the attractions of Samarkand
Begzod and his colleagues are very attentive, care about the comfort of hotel guests, and do everything to make the vacation memorable
Room is nice and comfortable. Location wise, it’s not too far from the airport so that’s great! Great experience overall
Great host. We came as guests, left as family. Great location across Registan. Complete breakfast.

I originally booked a hotel in Samarkand city center, but due to ongoing construction works, I was transferred to Imron Hotel. The transfer process was very smooth, and I truly enjoyed my stay from 26/12/25 to 29/12/25
Registan Square is about a 15-minute walk, and from there you can easily walk to other sites like Islam Karimov Park, Bibi-Khanym Mosque and Mausoleum, Siyab Bazaar, Hazrat Khizr Mosque, and Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis
The breakfast was delicious, prepared with care—special thanks to the lovely lady who cooked it. Conveniently, there are grocery stores, a bread stall, and a chicken-based restaurant just around the corner
The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with a wardrobe, mini fridge, and other essential amenities. Both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean, which I really appreciated
Major attractions such as Amir Temur Mausoleum, Ruhabad Mausoleum, the nearby park, and mosque are only a 5-minute walk away
The staff were very kind and helpful. The room is clean and organized. Good location for sightseeing.
