The hotel staff does everything to make your stay comfortable. We were checked in early, without extra charges. They look for ways to help with all questions. There is water/tea in the room, sweets for tea
The only drawback is the lack of a kitchen. Breakfast is brought from somewhere. Well, and there is nowhere to have a snack in the evening in the hotel either. But they offer and help to use the food delivery service
you can feel the culture with this hotel, and the staff here are amazing from receptionist to everyone serving food at the buffet, love the ambiance and hospitality
I like the style of the hotel very much. It is very distinctive and the breakfast is also good. It's very convenient to take a taxi to the attractions
and btw you can get 15percent discount with emirhan restaurant if you are staying at this hotel
one of the best hotel in samarkand, they might be old but oldies but goldie
Samarkand, O'zbekiston ko'chasi, 70 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
What I enjoyed:
+ very clean
+ comfy bed, mattress
+ really tasty breakfast buffet
+ nice staff
+ tea kettle, tea, water available for free
+ awesome carpet on the floor
+ great authentic design
+ quiet
What to consider:
- no fridge
- a bit far from the main attractions
I chose this hotel based on reviews, even though some were negative, but the hotel didn't disappoint our family!
The hotel's location is excellent for sightseeing!
There are parks, squares, plenty of shops if you need to pick up a few things, and many cafes and restaurants to suit every taste and budget nearby!
The breakfasts are excellent, with vegetables, porridges, and desserts!
Everything is...
The staff are very polite and speak Russian; they're always ready to explain and assist with anything you need. I was also happy that there was no outside street noise or sounds from neighbors in the room
We stayed in room 203 on the second floor, and I was pleased that the air conditioner wasn't directly above the bed but in the hallway, so it didn't blow on us and was practically silent
Housekeeping cleaned daily, changed towels, and replenished toiletries. Two bottles of water were provided in our room every day. We booked with breakfast, and it was all delicious
I booked a room for a friendly couple. The only thing I didn't get right was that the room had no windows, but my friends were happy with their stay.
Samarkand, Mullakandov street, 62 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
It is in a quiet local neighborhood, just a short walking distance from Registan Square, the mausoleums, and the nearby bazaar. It feels peaceful and authentic while still being very convenient for sightseeing
Staff is helpful, but they dont return your balance when you pay by cash (in my case is for the tourist tax). Location wise, very strategic. Less than 10 mins walk to samarkand square and to restaurants/store
It's a beautiful place, room is clean. However here and then got electric issue, but other than that all is good
Location: Tucked away in an alley. The little white note indicates they can open (the room/door) proactively
They're cutting corners on everything here. If you're not among the first for breakfast, you'll either get nothing or have to beg for everything, and there's no guarantee you'll actually get it
The night receptionist (very tall, young man) was very helpful. He solved all the issues and tried to help me. But the facility , room and breakfast was not good
I had an excellent stay in this charming and typical hotel right in the center of Samarkand's old town, close to all the places to visit (Gur Emir, Registan, etc
I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff for the quality of service. All wishes were taken into account, excellent comfortable rooms, location to interesting and popular places
I also particularly appreciated the hotel's flexibility: despite arriving extremely early at the hotel because of my flight, I was able to check in early and rest before starting my visits
The owners took us around the city, sharing their culture and stories. It was an unforgettable local and heartfelt experience — a real immersion into a family with their hearts wide open
The room was perfect: clean, comfortable, with a newly renovated private bathroom, including shampoo and shower gel. But what made this place truly special was the human connection
We absolutely loved our stay at Chehran Hotel in Samarkand 💛
The owners were truly amazing — so kind, welcoming, and attentive. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home

There is a money exchange machine right in the hotel (USD and Euros) which is so convenient! we were spoilt for choices of restaurants and cafes around the area. Yandex were easy to get to get around the city
We loved this hotel! The location is fantastic. The staff were so hospitable, attentive, and friendly every single day! The breakfasts were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We highly recommend it!
Small, but cozy room with a balcony. Comfortable beds and pillows, slippers, a bathrobe, and the room was very clean. The staff were very attentive, and there was good water pressure in the shower
Clean, comfortable and impeccable service. Front desk staffs were a delight. most of them speaks English and were very helpful. Bed and Pillows were very comfortable
Great place for a family trip, clean, cozy, with all amenities. We asked for a crib when booking, when we arrived there was already a crib installed☺️ each room is two-story with two bedrooms and a spacious living room
This hotel was beautiful and very clean. The service was top notch and the amenities were excellent. I have only great things to say about this hotel and when I return to Samarkand, I will be sure to come back
On the ground floor there is a living room with a kitchen, a bathroom, on the second there are 2 bedrooms. In total, the complex consists of 4 such rooms, each with a separate entrance
We were there in early April - the pool was still closed, but we didn’t expect to swim in it. They also extended our stay for free for several hours, for which we thank you very much!
We went on a weekend to see the city, I only had the most positive impressions🥰 if we come again I would come back to this place☺️ I recommend it to everyone
It will be ideal for those traveling with several families - everything will be at your disposal, we want to plan our next trip with friends to this hotel
Perfect location , elegant rooms and out standing service ! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay unforgatele . Highly rocoment this palce to anyone visiting the city . Big thanks to Oybekh )
I guess, location is the best you could ask for. A very nice hotel with wonderful and helpful staff. Small craftsmanship Store is inside (bought some souvenirs). Special thanks to Ruslan and Oybek
I enjoyed the breakfast and the evening buffet. The food variety was rich and I liked it pretty much.
Nice rooms and the staff was kind, so was the receptionist.
This is the best hotel I have stayed at in Samarkand so far. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spacious
Great hotel at a good location. It is easy to use Yandex for pick up here. Good heating during winter. Room is big and spacious. Breakfast is delicious too.
I truly enjoyed my stay and would gladly book here again on my next trip to Samarkand

The room has its own theme which interesting to learn more on it. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and gave us some complementary such as the night snacks and transport to the main station
Staff were polite and helpful. Overall, a very comfortable stay and definitely a place I would choose again when visiting Samarkand ❤️
This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, offering culture experience with unique presentation/interior design of rich Uzbek tradition
The hotel itself is designed like you stepped back in time to the days when Samarknad was the hotspot of the Silk Road and center of the Timurid Empire. It is so gorgeous and unique with beautiful details everywhere
They even arranged a free train ride to the train station upon departure, gave us a special gift, and even took a photo with us! Overall, it was a fantastic stay! The only downside was the lack of slippers and a shower cap!
The entire team was warm and professional throughout our stay. I wholeheartedly recommend the Silk Road Empire Hotel to anyone visiting Samarkand. It was one of the best stays in Uzbekistan and beyond
I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Dilshoda in Samarkand. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of main attractions, and the area feels safe even at night
The hotel is next to Timur's Mausoleum, which you can see while having breakfast. Whether it is the trees in the yard, the sunshine or the reception, everything is just right.
It’s located next to Guri Amir. We can visit anywhere in Samarqand old city from hotel on foot. Room is clean , comfortable. English is available.I love this hotel.
Delicious Asian breakfast buffet. Helpful and friendly staff and owners. Heated floors in the bathroom. Ideally located, with a terrace overlooking Gur-Emir
The facilities are a little bit below expectations, but the service and friendliness are top-notch. I would like to recommend this place again.
Fantastic boutique hotel in a excellent location.
Staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. Really enjoyed my stay
Samarkand, Koshkhovuz St 83, 140100 Samarkand, Uzbekistan (in the centre) 🧭 Map
It's very close to Registan Square, and you can basically reach other attractions on foot, which is very convenient.
Not bad, close to the scenic spot, cost-effective
Excellent location of the hotel as all the monuments to visit are walkable and it is right behind Rejistan Square. Staff were also very friendly. Over all a family friendly restaurant
The room size is a tad small but it is a good budget restaurant. Breakfast they served was delicious, especially their small sunny side up eggs
I hope in the toilets they make a bidet or a water gun as these are very hygienic
It's not bad for one or 2 nights only. It's mostly bed and breakfast style, nothing more at all. Good and helpful reception, clean rooms, and near to some services. it is about 15 minutes to Registon Square
Samarkand, Orzu Mahmudova 22 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
we loved to take breakfast in the garden with morning sunrays. I will surely recommend this hotel. I only had one issue, which is the size of the washrooms, but it can be ignored with all the other positive parts
It was comfortable, the rooms are cosy and clean. It is situated in the middle of the city, so we can reach all the historical places in very little time. The staff was also very welcoming and supportive
The hotel offered a buffet-style breakfast, with variety of options: porridges, fried eggs, boiled eggs, sausage, as well as a selection of pastries, fruits, and vegetables (tomaties and cucambers)
There was also an attached TV room with a couch, as well as a little balcony where you can enjoy coffee. The rooms are well-maintained and offer all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay
The hotel's location is another major advantage. 2 kilometers away from the iconic Registan. We enjoyed a leisurely walk to the Registan through a beautiful and shady boulevard
The hotel is run very efficiently by a family. Mr Mirzya was very friendly and guided our tour and helped with transportation too. The best part is its ambience and the garden
Samarkand, ulitsa Havasi, 5 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Good but not special
The place is ok (clean, friendly management, etc). However, they never replied to our messages before the stay, bathroom smells (and if you forget the door open, the whole room smells)
It’s got old time flare with modern amenities and has the feel of a real family operation. The best part is, when you’re here you feel like part of the family. Great value, great courtyard and a quietly setback location
The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Location was perfect, with easy access to the main attractions and transport. The breakfast options were fresh and satisfying
The hotel is quiet and away from traffic. It has an inviting, traditional ambience with an outdoor enclosed courtyard suitable for coffees and rest. Rooms are well appointed, carpeted and comfortable
Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. Overall, a wonderful experience that exceeded expectations I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area
I had an excellent stay at this hotel and everything was absolutely spot on. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it very easy to relax
Samarkand, Corner of Shohi Zinda and Dagbed Street (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Centrally located hotel within 2. Staff is very polite and cooperative. Elevator isn't working so lifting luggage is messy. Shower curtains are missing, hence the washroom is a challenge after every shower
In principle good hotel with excellent and friendly service. Warm water is coming also outside peak times if you let it running for some minutes
WiFi is slow and in some areas of the hotel not working (they use range extender, but they so not forward DHCP messages
Breakfast is average, that can easily improve if the more items on the menu are served hot
Samarkand, ulitsa Chapanata 53A (in the centre) 🧭 Map
A peaceful strategic area with a less than a kilometre reaching to Registan Square. I felt safe walking alone at night in this area. The hotel does not have a lift (elevator), so be mindful of heavy luggages.
The budget hotel has a good location and a quiet environment. It's about 300 meters from Timur Mausoleum and a 10-minute walk from Registan Square
Everything else is very good, including cleanliness, environment, breakfast quality, etc. It is a pity that there is no kettle for Chinese guests. Moreover, nowadays, we cannot do without our mobile phones
The room with a balcony is beautiful—small, clean, and equipped with everything we needed (I only have a photo of it with our belongings after check-in). Hot water is brought to your room if you need it
The room's design is a special plus: the wooden ceiling and furniture, and the tiled decor! It's beautiful! The breakfasts are delicious. The staff is very helpful! We loved everything!
The hotel is right next to Timur's Mausoleum, about a 5-minute walk (by car), and Registan Square is 1. 6 km away, which is also within easy walking distance (by car)
Samarkand, Otakhodzhaeva ulitsa, 10 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Most hotels in Samarkand have a lot of fake 5 start reviews, but this hotel really deserves 5 stars. After staying in a few other hotels in Samarkand, we booked 4 nights in this hotel
The hotel's location is convenient, approximately a 15-minute walk from the city center. The route offers views of various churches and museums, and a pleasant stroll along the boulevard
Our tour group stayed at this boutique hotel, it’s very centrally located, grocery, restaurant, coffee shops and many other shops are very close by
Staff at the hotel is super super nice and welcoming, they are making sure that you have a pleasant stay - from free transfer from airport, to adjusting temperature in the room to accommodating my mom’s strict diet since she is vegan
The first thing I have to compliment is the service - the staff was so much friendlier and more helpful than any other place we encountered. They really did their best to make our stay comfortable
Breakfast offers variety of food. I’ve read reviews that the hotel is not close to tourists attractions, but i would disagree as 30min walk to main attraction is quite okay in my opinion
Samarkand, Bukhara Street, 141 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is great, only about a five-minute walk to Registan Square. The rooms are clean, bottled water is free, and the staff are very polite.
A very nice hotel in the best location, only 5 mins walk from the Registan. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Very comfortable bed and a good shower. Breakfast was nice, simple but a perfect set up for the day
There seem to be three people working at the front desk on a rotation basis, but two of them were incredibly kind. Cleaning is available if you ask the front desk
They are very accommodating! The room is also spacious! This is conveniently located near Registan square- a mere 5 minute walk!
The manager picked me up in the train station when I arrived at midnight! Also they paid for my taxi back to the train station
Friendly English speaking staff. We would definitely stay here again. ( last pic, from Chorsu Chaihana, very close to hotel
Samarkand, Islom Karimov Street, 43 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Location: excellent! It is in the same building complex as the Art Gallery Happy Bird, mentioned in Tripadvisor. Registan is about 300 m away, so after dinner I would walk there to see the illumination
My room had 2 twin beds, was rather small but comfortable. Upon opening the windows, a cool breeze entered the room. Wi-fi was reliable and there was a water boiler for tea. Breakfast was abundant and good
The cook, Dishoda, would make me an omelette every morning. In the same building there are restaurants and fast food/ice cream joints. On my last day I took the train to Khiva, which departs at 11:46
This place is located within the Registan Square so super convenient. When I checked in, there was no one at the front desk so that was a little bit of a trouble. However, room is simple and good
The location is very near to all the main attraction
However just as owner mentioned, they have know people in front desk.it will be quite difficult to ask anything
Breakfast good
The hotel is in a very strategic location, close to Registan Square, historical sites, and Siyob Bazaar, all within walking distance
