We stayed at Avan Plaza Hotel on Friday night and had a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast served was great, offering a good variety and delicious options to start the day. Overall, a nice and convenient place to stay in Yerevan!

Not recommended for families – strange vibe but cl
We stayed here because we had already paid and couldn’t cancel, but I wouldn’t choose this place again. The entrance is very basic – no reception desk or proper hotel sign, just a plain door with stairs going up. On arrival, even our taxi driver warned us that this hotel doesn’t have a good reputation in Yerevan and is not suitable for families – supposedly known for hosting call girls.

Despite that, the room was very clean, and breakfast was served in the room, simple but decent. However, the AC did not work properly, and even after we complained, they didn’t fix it. Also, the main entrance is always locked, and you have to call so they can unlock it remotely using walkie-talkies – which felt strange but at least it was secure.

The staff didn’t speak English at all, which made communication difficult. In general, the place felt a bit shady, but to be fair, we never felt unsafe.

Wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re just looking for a cheap stay and don’t mind the odd setup.

Over hotel is road, not possible sleep. All cars sound you listen in room.
There is no peace at night, doors are slammed.

The double-bed rooms were wide and spacious with good working air conditioning. It was mostly clean.

However, there was no information or acknowledgement before booking that the hotel has no reception or even a proper entry and that the breakfast isn’t in the restaurant as there is no restaurant or a bar but only a room service.
This is an interesting concept, but it’s a shame it wasn’t mentioned anywhere.

When I shared my feedback with the stuff she listened but shorty after we left she repeated this to her colleague in a sarcastic manner, which I found very unprofessional.

Rooms had a stinky smell of cigarettes even when it supposed to be for non-smokers. I could feel it anytime I entered the room. It’s disrespectful towards guests and unhealthy.

There was also a bad sewage smell in the ground level bathroom.

The breakfast was the same every day, very basic, no pastries or cakes with a coffee. After a few days the stuff started to bring smaller breakfasts.

Some of the ladies from the service were rude and arrogant, unpleasant when asking them any questions. Luckily, the guys from the parking area were very nice and helpful.

There wasn’t a kettle in the room despite the description.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Quiet place and very private
The staff are all great though they speak not so much English but understandable and polite. The hotel is further from the city but public transports are available in the bus stop nearby. If you have a car it is very convenient because you have your own parking enclosed beneath your own room.

The rooms are smoky, bedding with holes, the cheapest synthetic, the furniture is all old, shabby. The bathroom is just awful. No curtains, not enough towels. I do not recommend this place.
