Reviews
I’m writing this to share my genuine experience, including both the good and the bad.
From the 29th to the 1st, I stayed at Cascade Hotel with my friend. Overall, the stay was good until checkout.
During checkout, the staff claimed that we had used items from the minibar and asked us to pay for a beer and a bottle of water. However, we did not use any minibar items at all. We ordered food from outside, and both my friend and I were extremely sick with the flu, so we did not consume cold water or alcohol.
Despite explaining this, the staff insisted that the items were used. This raises a concern about accountability—either the minibar was not properly checked or refilled after the previous guest, or there was a mistake from the hotel’s side.
As I did not want to miss my flight, I paid the charge and checked out, even though it was for something we did not use.
I would advise future guests to be cautious and double-check the minibar upon arrival, as you may be charged for items you didn’t use. Or you may be charged for a damage you did not cause. This is not about money it’s about accountability and fairness.
The room was cold and the heater did not work adequately, making the stay uncomfortable, especially as we were unwell during this time. Additionally, there is an underground metro line running directly beneath the hotel, causing noticeable noise and vibration, which affected our rest.
To make matters worse, at checkout we were charged for minibar items (a beer and water) that we did not consume. We did not use the minibar at all and instead repeatedly requested boiled water from reception, which they can verify. Despite explaining this, the charge was not removed, and we paid only to avoid further conflict.
This combination of poor room comfort, noise disturbance, and an unpleasant checkout experience left us disappointed. I strongly recommend future guests check the minibar immediately upon arrival and ensure room facilities are fully functional before settling in.
Location is awesome. Room service daily even though you don’t ask that’s also awesome,
What we were disappointed is charges of water bottle they take. When we arrived there was 1 water bottle in our room for that they charged 400 dram. We were not knowing that water is charged. We ordered 2 more small water bottle which they charged 1300 dram which is crazy.
In supermarket water bottle costs 220 dram for big bottles. It’s like looting tourists.
Second breakfast, for Veg only option is bread, butter, fruits & salads & cold & hot beverages. They didn’t bothered to prepare any 1 hot breakfast for us or ask us what we can eat.
If you are going to stay in this hotel pls carry your own water bottle. They will charge crazy otherwise.
- Wi-Fi is extremely bad. There is no AC in the room (there is a thermostat, but air from a vent is always hot). The room is very small with a low ceiling.
