I have been to the Alpenhotel several times and have always been more than satisfied. Whether it was the check-in or the catering, they always made a great effort and everything was excellent, including the kitchen. I am already looking forward to my next visit. I keep coming back because this place is the best for someone who loves skiing and good food. Dinners here are a four-course wonder. The hotel is basically a step from the cable car (and the ski rental/shop). There is a small swimming pool and two saunas. And the staff is always welcoming, polite and helpful.

Ski back, Roll out Such a luxury to ski literally to the door AND roll into the lift every morning- I don’t think you could get a better placed hotel- really removes a lot of kerfaffle particularly with children. The hotel met all my requirements and wishes. The staff was super friendly when spoken to, the rooms were cleaned every day to perfection, the spa was super nice and big! reviewing the restaurant part of this hotel. outside snow blizzard, inside a warm restaurant with mainly hotel guests. a la carte with several traditional choices, varying from meat to fish and vegetarian. nice dessert finished all off friendly staff, fast delivery of food, nice wine. in the back a large dining room, but as we were already a bit off season, we were sitting in the smaller front side...

The hotel is in the small village of Lechashau which is a short (15 min) walk across the river to the larger town of Reutte. The village is very small and quiet. The Goldene rose is bigger than it looks from the outside as it has various extensions built onto the rear, even though our party were the only guests staying there the food was still authentic and not geared to the English, not a burger...

We stayed 3 nights in July this year with the ocassion of our holiday; those days were dedicated to visiting the Bavarian castles: Neuwanschtein, Linderhof and Hoheswangau. We chose an appartment with garden view and HB; I have to say that everything was more than we expected: rooms, the view to the mountains, good food, good service and we had also a surprise: we had in the price a ride with a horse...

The hotel is ok to stay. But, the conditions hardly meet the cost.

A bit dated but nice and clean nonetheless. Superb breakfast and great staff. Lots of parking. No AC or fans in the room, so keep that in mind for hotter days/nights.
