The rooms are clean and the environment is great, with excellent service from the staff. This hotel was originally built during the Republic of China era, and many historical figures have stayed here. The current high-rise building was completed in 1986, giving it a strong nostalgic feel. I really appreciate the sense of history and heritage. Despite its age, the hotel doesn't feel old or run-down. While it doesn't have an automatic revolving door, the manually operated one blends seamlessly with the hotel's style, giving you a wonderful feeling of stepping back in time.

They provided thoughtful little gifts like laundry detergent, wet wipes, two small cans of Coke, mouthwash, and a heated eye mask – a pleasant surprise! The location is convenient and the cleanliness is good. When I arrived, there was an issue with the front desk computer, so check-in was a bit slow. The soundproofing in the room isn't great. Overall, a good review.

For this price, it was unexpectedly good. The surrounding environment is quiet and comfortable, and it's super convenient to get to Dashilar and Qianmen by bike. The room was spotless and the front desk service was warm and welcoming. This hotel also has a lot of history and character; staying here felt like visiting a museum from the Republic of China era, which even the kids loved.

The hotel's exterior is well-maintained, but the rooms are a bit dated. It's an older hotel, so that's understandable. It's quiet here, there's a subway station nearby, and there's a Hutong Barbecue Liu right next door downstairs.

Traveling to Beijing with my child this time, I chose this hotel for its rich history and its quiet yet central location. It's quite close to the subway station and has many bus routes nearby, which is very convenient. The hotel's service was excellent. From the moment we arrived on the morning of May 2nd to drop off our luggage, through check-in in the afternoon, and later dining at the restaurant, the staff's service was impeccable and very friendly. The hotel facilities are decent; although a bit old, the cleanliness is good. The only issue I encountered was with the toothbrushes provided – the bristles kept falling out when used. I reported this to the front desk, and the lady there said other guests had also mentioned it and that the hotel was already addressing the problem. They promptly brought me two new sets of toothbrushes.

Hotel Oriental was a delightful surprise for us in Beijing! Before coming to Beijing, I spent a long time choosing and finally settled on Hotel Oriental because of its excellent location, making it easy to get around, and also because it's a hotel with a long history! Of course, I was a bit worried that the facilities might be outdated and have an unpleasant smell. But when we checked in, we found that the hotel's facilities are incredibly well-maintained, and the service is outstanding. It was very clean; our room had no strange odors, and even the carpet looked spotless, showing no signs of age! Our original booking didn't include breakfast, but the front desk kindly added it for us. The breakfast spread was extensive and delicious! If I hadn't already paid a deposit at another hotel, I would definitely have extended my stay here; I was so reluctant to check out. I'll certainly choose Hotel Oriental again on my next visit!

The room was a bit small, but the hotel is a quiet oasis in a lively area. It's very close to the subway station and surrounded by hutongs, with many great small eateries tucked away in the alleyways. It's also within walking distance of Qianmen Pedestrian Street. Overall, a good experience.

The room was clean and tidy, perfect for staying with kids. It's not far from the surrounding attractions, which saved us time and taxi fares. Plus, we could see the Beijing nightscape from the room.

Although renovated in 2016, the hotel is clean, offers great service, and the rooms are spacious. It's conveniently located near both Zhushikou and Hufangqiao subway stations. In the alley leading to Zhushikou subway station, the sesame paste cold noodles at 'Gongmenkou Mantou' are delicious, and the lamb's head meat and numbing pepper chicken at 'Hongji Baishui Yangtou' are absolutely amazing. During our stay, there were many international guests checking in daily. We stayed in room 909, which had a large floor-to-ceiling window offering views of the Temple of Heaven. When we checked out, the staff even gave our child several bottles of Beibingyang soda, which made them incredibly happy!
