A hotel in bad need of updating. Especially on hot summer days. Lack of air fans, when there is no air conditioning in the building makes this place a hard place to sleep in. The sofa bed was broken, and we had to get it replaced. We arrived at 10pm, and informed them in advance that we just want to go straight to bed. This didn't happen. The bath was terrible. Beautiful and quiet location, lots to see nearby and good public transport connections right in front of the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Not all rooms have air conditioning and the hotel is a bit worn out, but everything worked and individual wishes were taken into account.

A peaceful hotel/spa by the sea, surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are old, like the hotel, but at least when traveling with a pet, there was plenty of space. I really liked this hotel. Don’t let its office-block exterior fool you, this is a great hotel. We had a large (and quiet) room with comfortable beds. Breakfast was great and the staff were super friendly. The location is about two minutes walk from the train station and maybe five minutes walk from the market square.

There is a limited choice of hotels in Lappeenranta and the Scandic Patria is showing it's age inside and out (like most Scandics). All in all though, it is a good hotel, rooms are comfortable but dated. The location is the main attraction being just 150m from the Harbour Square/Satamatori. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. There is lots of free on-street parking nearby.

Location of the hotel was perfect, there was shops and restaurants near. breakfast was very good too. I have been here in the summer too And the nearby promenade is beautiful then

We Loved Our Stay This was a lovely hotel in a GREAT location. Just a quick walk to restaurants, shops and a waterfront park. The breakfast buffet was exceptional.

Mostly good – great location & friendly staff. The ventilation was very bad though – the aircon didn’t stop the room being very stuffy and smelly. If the window was openable (even by 10 or 20cm) that would make it a lot nicer, and probably wouldn’t let anyone fall out. It would also be much nicer if there was a kettle in the room, to save having to go downstairs to get a cup of coffee

Best bed and air conditioning I have! Quiet and stylish hotel room. Good location with tram and train stations within walking distance. Nice and friendly staff. Just note the bathroom has no door. If not used to cold weather, you may feel cold while taking the bath. Also the luggage storage at hotel is a series of lockers. If the lockers are full, you may not be able to keep your luggage there.

Great boutique hotel with good location

The hotel is right at city center. It's clean and the breakfast is very good. A little bit down side is that there is no cafe machine in the room.

Breakfast offerred varied selection. The desk staff was extremely helpful. Our room needs were a bit different from other guests because we needed to modify the heavy bed covers and the housekeeping staff was helpful with our use of sheets & towels.

We loved our stay at hotel U14. The staff were all hospitable and helpful. The room was super clean and the beds were comfortable. It's located a short walk from market square, the tram, and many shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Don't know what's so "budget" and "easy" about paying 250€ for a hotel room that was occupied by a homeless squatter. I had to sleep at Okas that night! However the sloppy I got gets a 5/5.

A lovely spot to stay in Porvoo. The staff were so lovely and found a place for my bike inside the building. The breakfast was amazing and the sauna was excellent.

One day visit Quite nice and straightforward visit with all the necessities. Breakfast just fine; porridge, bread and also some vegetarian options. Didnt check gluten free options. Nice room, no disturbances and everything worked smoothly. Close to Porvoo old town, around 15min walk.

I arrived early, so I just left my luggage at the hotel before my friend treated me to breakfast there. Then we went sightseeing. Our room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good with numerous options. We were allowed to drink our own wine on their patio and use their glassware. That doesn't happen at many places. The hotel is well located within easy walking distance of many restaurants, shops and tourist sites. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We were 2 adulta and 2 kids sleeping in a small room. The size of the room wasn't an issue but having to tolerate the heat as the AC was not working and the alternative solution would have made us all sick from draft, I cannot see myself revisiting this hotel. We did complain but the staff said they couldn't do anything to the issue. Pretty bad to advertise AC in rooms and then it is not working.....

LOVED the deep bathtub! Excellent breakfast offerings and good quality food. So much delicious variety! Everyone is super friendly and the location is good for walking to dinner. We dined at Bella Roma nearby, which was also a very good experience.

It was a great property. It does not have easy access for the front desk as you can not drive up to drop off bags. But it is a great location, the staff were very friendly, and the room and beds were comfy. The hotel parking wasn’t very well organized either.

Genuine placer, with great exterior and interior. Breakfast was really good, as was the sauna. It was really hot during our stay in Haukipudas and our room had poor air condidtion plus located on the floor just above the sauna, so we could easily change room thanks to the service-minded staff.

Rooms need updates and therefore only 3 stars. Breakfast is what you expect in these 3 star hotels, it gets its job done. Location wise it is ok for the price you pay. My room was on second floor and sound insulation towards street was not good enough. Staff was very nice and attentive.

Nice location in the middle of Turku's shopping pedestrian street. They have parking available. Really good service and friendly staff. Breakfast was phenomenal as always with Scandic, with clearly marked vegan options. Unfortunately the room was quite small with rather uncomfortable hard beds and not great pillows.

Stayed for just one night. The hotel has a good atmosphere and there are many guests. The environment is also very good. The decoration of the room is relatively old and there is a small terrace. Maybe it has been opened for a long time.

We visited Salpalinjan Hovi in May and were given a tour of the Salpa Line sights by Anne. She was very knowledgable and friedly. The hotel is beautiful. Styled very nicely and with plenty of character. A grest place to spend time.

I was in a studio room, that is not located in the main building. When I showed I wish for cleaning the sign was always blown away by the wind and staff did not see it. They should care about it a little bit more.
