In the middle of Vasa and close to everything We had a great stay at this hotel. Easy to check in and special price on Cava at the roof bar. The room and bed was excellent. The breakfast was also good with a lot to choose from.

The hotel is in the center of the city. You can easily take a bus to the airport, too. Breakfast is also nice.

Facilities: There are many different flavors of coffee, the hotel has a free sauna, Sanitation: Very clean, Environment: Located in the city center, the Freedom Square is in front of the hotel, and large shopping malls and supermarkets are in the hotel building and 100 meters away. Nice place with central placement. Very nice reception and staff.

5 stars, great location and while rooms are small they are immensely comfortable. A special shout out to the receptionist when i arrived late on Sunday night, he was very friendly and really made me feel welcomed after a fairly arduous journey.

Located at the city centre. All the restaurants and shopping centers were less than five minutes walk away. Breakfast buffet was amazing and the common facilities like the gym and sauna were also well-maintained. I had a beautiful view of the city centre from my room.

The atmosphere in the breakfast restaurant was great. The selection was not particularly large, but everything was fresh, delicious, and nicely displayed.

The hotel is in a great location, close to many attractions and the pier. The hotel is very well designed, very unique and warm. The overall tone of the room is dark and retro, the light is also very comfortable, it is easy to relax and fall asleep. The hotel service is also very good, the breakfast is absolutely delicious! It is a hotel that I would like to stay in for the second time.

Original Sokos Hotel Royal is situated at the center of Vaasa. The downside is very limited availability of free parking (i.e. none), upside is a central location from everywhere, including the train station. Service bad, otherwise nice First a room with baby bed and sofa made to a bed, then a handicapped room. Was not in a mood for a fight, but that combined with not hearing one sorry or apology was not even worth three stars.

Of the 3 different hotels I stayed in in Vaasa, I prefer this one. Clean, great location, good bed, all the services you need. A solid choice, especially if you have a business type of travel.

The hotel is nice, rooms are nice, and this I in a great location - shopping is nearby, restaurants are close, and the train station is just a block away.

Nice and clean hotel & abundant breakfast. The bathroom was very sterile and cold and the big tv did not really work (pixels were messy and sound cutting). Truck traffic outside of the main entrance woke me up early in the morning.

This hotel’s style takes you back to the Finnish 1980-1990s, for better or worse. Everything works, but much of it could do with some renovation. The room we had was extremely basic, the bathroom microscopic, and the sound isolation rather poor. Overall it seems well suited for families with little children, and the staff are very friendly.

Great hotel in a lovely location but wouldn't want to be there in summer season due to theme park next door ( closed in May). Large room, better than some Scandics. Slight odour from drain in bathroom could be off-putting to some. Dinner was good although the waiter forgot my dessert. When we asked for it to be taken off bill, it suddenly appeared. Breakfast was usual good fare.

Nice suite We very much liked our room, although there was a drip from the air conditioning unit that seemed to be damaging a table. We also had trouble with the suite’s sauna, but we otherwise loved the service and comfort of the hotel. Vaasa is a lovely city.

Accessible room For some reason we got an accessible room, it was big so we didn’t really mind it. However the room got quickly very hot, which can be a problem for those who actually are in need of an accessible room. Especially considering that they might not be able to move by themselves. It has been clear that the old Scandic Vaasa does require renovation and, in fact, it has been going on for a longer while. A Private Sauna! We booked a room with a private sauna and LOVED it! The room was large and comfortable and will be a highlight of our trip.

It was ok, nothing special. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was ok but maybe 200€ was a bit much for the type of room. Breakfast was tasty.

Very close to Jyvaskyla station, friendly service, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room. The gym isn't great - old equipment. But there's an awesome 24/7 gym across the street at a good price.

Good hotel location in the center of the city within a short stroll to shopping (Forum, Sokos) and restaurants. Our room though was at the other wing accessible only via a tunnel at level 'K'. Room size is standard size, not particularly large. There is an iron room to wash and dry clothes. The pool and sauna are accessed along 'K' level while the gym is at the annex we stayed at.

A hotel in bad need of updating. Especially on hot summer days. Lack of air fans, when there is no air conditioning in the building makes this place a hard place to sleep in. Beautiful and quiet location, lots to see nearby and good public transport connections right in front of the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Not all rooms have air conditioning and the hotel is a bit worn out, but everything worked and individual wishes were taken into account.

A peaceful hotel/spa by the sea, surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are old, like the hotel, but at least when traveling with a pet, there was plenty of space. Practical hotel in the center of Varkaus, from a walking distance from Navitas and the mills. I stayed in the "old wing" (not recently renovated), not super-modern but no complaints either. Friendly personnel.

A surprising gem of a hotel in the middle of Varkaus. This is a place i would expect to find in Helsinki or Tampere - modern, large, well equipped. Great breakfast, clean rooms, wonderful staff. Parking was a big plus, a spacious lot right behind the hotel.

Welcome Return Visit I have stayed here before and hope to again. Right in the center of town and an easy walk to the train & bus station. The single rooms are small,particularly the bathrooms but the location, breakfast and friendly, helpful staff more than make up for tha. And there’s a pool and sauna!

Mostly good – great location & friendly staff. The ventilation was very bad though – the aircon didn’t stop the room being very stuffy and smelly. If the window was openable (even by 10 or 20cm) that would make it a lot nicer, and probably wouldn’t let anyone fall out. It would also be much nicer if there was a kettle in the room, to save having to go downstairs to get a cup of coffee

Breakfast offerred varied selection. The desk staff was extremely helpful. Our room needs were a bit different from other guests because we needed to modify the heavy bed covers and the housekeeping staff was helpful with our use of sheets & towels.

We loved our stay at hotel U14. The staff were all hospitable and helpful. The room was super clean and the beds were comfortable. It's located a short walk from market square, the tram, and many shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Beautiful room and well equipped for a few days exploring Helsinki. Great vibe and staff so very friendly. Breakfast you book a slot which im not a fan off, but space is limited so I can see why, the variety was just okay, was fresh and the porridge the best I have had.

A very underwhelming stay. The best part about the hotel is the staff but it was clear they were stretched resources often servicing multiple jobs. Room was basic with a bathroom that is stuck in the 90s. In general the hotel needs renovation and updating. Located right next to a major train and bus station there was constant noise and also construction.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right in the city center. There's a mall and a large supermarket directly across the street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The room is a bit small, but very neat and clean. I highly recommend having breakfast at the hotel; Scandic hotels always have an amazing and delicious breakfast spread!

Hotel location is superb with shopping mall Just across. Room do not have phone to contact the reception and there is no kettle. Would have to pay 10 euro to rent a kettle which is kind of ridiculous. There is also no sign in the room informing you that tap water is safe to drink.
