Our basic room was nicely renovated but you could not connect your phone to the tv so say goodbye to watching streaming services in the end of the day. Some of the tv-channels weren't working either. The soaps smell very "manly" but this is a problem for all Scandic hotels in my experience (why can't they be unperfumed for everyone?). We spent one night, and the hotel has everything that is needed. The room was comfortable, bright and well-equipped. Breakfast is good (as always in Scandic hotels), and it is possible to find any type of breakfast (cereals, sandwiches, fruits, etc). The room is very clean.

The hotel is in good location and staff were nice. However the hotel clearly needs renovation. The room was okay but nothing special. There was not any good view from the window. I had extra bed in the room, but it was so uncomfortable that sleeping in it was really horrible. The breakfast was good and i have nothing bad to say about it. Whem I visit Lahti again I will definitely choose another hotel...

The hotel is a piece of art in itself! What an architectural gem. Restaurant is good. Not too much choice but quality is there. The parc around is super peaceful and the deck to go in the sea after Sauna is amazing. Pool and sauna have limited hours (morning and evening) so carrefour with children. Also a bit isolated. Without a car you won’t do anything around.

We had a wonderful stay at this independent hotel. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Room was charming and spacious enough. The hotel has a charming atmosphere, that you do not get that much anymore. Also, the location could not be better - just near the Ullanlinna neighborhood, our all time favorite!

Clean hotel, requested a bath tub and was provided. Early checked in. Breakfast was good. Sauna turned out to be time and gender restricted for 2 hrs each, so plan accordingly. Good and close to shops and restaurants and railway station.

Our usual family weekend in Helsinki. Tapiola has great access to metro and friends near too. Car parking in underground is recommended, old gate system has finally removed. I stayed here a while ago and loved my experience. A great location near to metro stops, bus routes, shopping center, and relevant for me Aalto University. The restaurant was excellent, staff very courtesies and professional, and rooms were more than adequate for me and my needs. All in all a great stay and hope to return to Helsinki one day and would happier stay here again.

Not sure why this hotel has 4 stars. From my point of view this is firm 3 stars hotel. It's relatively clean but facilities are broken. For example, bidet in the room's bathroom doesn't work at all. Best possible hotel location if you need accommodation in the Espoo area. Next to the big shopping mall Ainoa, close to transportation (metro, bus station, taxi station), close to nature for execise and several good dining options.

Property was clean, no issues at all. Some construction works are ongoing at the rear of the hotel which I did not know about. That started about 7am so might be early for other guests. Small fitness room was adequate. Food choice in hotel wasn't to my taste but that's not negative review of the restuarant in anyway - but there is a shopping mall less than 2 minutes walk with plenty of food choices...

Booked and the next day tried to shift the dates by one day. They would not allow it and showed zero empathy for the fact that the airport was closed due to war. Also sauna was closed in the early afternoon and past 10 pm which is disappointing. I am a big fan of Scandic normally but the greed and lack of empathy here just because it’s non refundable is such a big turn off. Give your money to nicer...

The hotel is very spacious and clean, and the location is excellent. It's easy to hail an Uber, and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel that goes directly to Santa Claus Village, which is super convenient. The breakfast spread is amazing; I looked forward to it every morning!

The location was good with bus service to major places at doorstep. Reception staff was very helpful, breakfast was good. Only thing lacking was electric kettle in the rooms and no glasses in the room

Although it is a long walk to the room, meals are included and the room is spacious, so the satisfaction level is very high.

It was during the Christmas season, so it was a bit pricey, but it was a great stay. The breakfast was delicious. The next day, when I told them I couldn't eat breakfast due to a flight, they prepared a breakfast box for me.

The room seemed to have been renovated and was relatively new. The location wasn't the best in the area, but since it was a small place, it was only about a five-minute walk to the center, even in the freezing cold. The service was adequate. The room wasn't too small if two people stayed without having to unfold the sofa bed.

The hotel's location is very convenient. The room didn't have a microwave or a kettle, but it did have a mini-fridge for drinks. The trash can was a bit small. I'd consider this hotel again for a short trip.

Amazing and affordable stay tucked in Hakaniemi. Location is good as it is close to Hakaniemi train station. There’s a McDonalds nearby and mini market. Overall cleanliness of room is excellent and the breakfast buffet is delicious too.

Overall good experience. Clean, centrally located, easy access to the parking. Breakfast buffet good. Little issue with the parking payment as I was unable to pay at check out. Now the parking company will send the bill to the car rental company, which might charge additional charges for processing the parking ticket.

Average hotel Its an ok average hotel, nothing fancy. Good price for families with small children. Bit old and worn. Medioker breakfast. Elevators is kind of a hassle.

We had a view towards wall in the third floor. Extra bed was too hard for an adult. The air conditioning was not cool enough because the blankets were very thick.

The room is quite large. You can use a room card to access the elevator, so security is guaranteed. Luggage storage is available. Note that you need to find the button on the wall to close the curtains, as one of my companions didn't know this and didn't.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel AX! The hotel’s unique art-inspired design and spacious, well-equipped rooms made our stay truly memorable. The breakfast spread was outstanding, with great vegetarian and vegan options as well. The staff, especially at the reception, were warm and welcoming throughout. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Helsinki — modern, artistic and full of character!

I stayed here on a solo trip. Although it was for one person, the room was very spacious and comfortable. It's far from the city center, so it takes a little time to get back to the hotel in the middle of sightseeing, but it's very close to the tram station, so I think it's quite convenient. In the middle of Vasa and close to everything We had a great stay at this hotel. Easy to check in and special price on Cava at the roof bar. The room and bed was excellent. The breakfast was also good with a lot to choose from.

5 stars, great location and while rooms are small they are immensely comfortable. A special shout out to the receptionist when i arrived late on Sunday night, he was very friendly and really made me feel welcomed after a fairly arduous journey.

This hotel’s style takes you back to the Finnish 1980-1990s, for better or worse. Everything works, but much of it could do with some renovation. The room we had was extremely basic, the bathroom microscopic, and the sound isolation rather poor. Overall it seems well suited for families with little children, and the staff are very friendly.

Great hotel in a lovely location but wouldn't want to be there in summer season due to theme park next door ( closed in May). Large room, better than some Scandics. Slight odour from drain in bathroom could be off-putting to some. Dinner was good although the waiter forgot my dessert. When we asked for it to be taken off bill, it suddenly appeared. We spent 2 nice nights at this hotel and the experience was very good. We had a loft room for 4 persons and it was a very nice surprise how spacious it was! Reception personnel was also very helpful and service was friendly. Good breakfast, especially eggs and bacon were perfect. Gym at the hotel is very well equipped and a lot bigger than average hotel gyms.

Good service, but the rooms are quite basic. There is no Smart TV or fridge, and no shampoo products are provided. The walls are thin. The location was fine for us. However, the parking space is small and not included in the price (14€/day). Self check-in was available, and the doors worked fine outside of service hours.

The bed is a little softer than other hotels, and the pillows are looser. Apart from these two points, there are basically no flaws. We did not buy breakfast, which is on the second floor and cannot be seen. The front desk in the lobby helped us print our boarding passes, and there is free coffee and tea, and a microwave.

Good for one night stay. Really basic, offering only bed and breakfast. Rooms quite small, not possible to open windows. Quite expensive for such a standard. For 10€ more you can have much better stay at Sokos or Scandic.
