If you visit during the snowy season, the glass will be mostly covered in snow, so you won't be able to get a clear view of the sky.

The room was a bit small, and the air conditioning wasn't quite strong enough – I even felt a bit chilly wearing thick fleece pants. I suggest increasing the fan speed on the AC. There's a time limit for showering in the room; if you exceed it, the water cuts off, likely due to a small water heater capacity. The Aurora alarm system in the room is excellent. Had an amazing time with my family here! Comfy beds and excellent service and a grocery store across the street. Fresh towels every day were expected but much appreciated. They charge for everything you consume in the fridge.

What used to be a family home for a well renowned global manufacturer of leather apparel, now transformed to a modest family run hotel sitting on the banks of the river. The staff very friendly, an ample breakfast spread. And a desired good night sleep after much driving. What it lacks in mod cons is more than made up with tradition and interest.

Best location in the city! Definitely worth while for a visit. Location is as central as you can get, all shops, restaurants and services nearby. This was the scond time in the historic building of Villa Urhola. We really like the rooms that have the "villa feeling", high ceilings etc. This house is a completely different case than the main building of Kruunupuisto that is a huge rehab center. The setting was beautiful. From my balcony I looked over lawns and the lake. The grounds are large and have lake access, a pond, a sensory garden and a great little cafe serving waffles. They lead onto a trail which takes you to the lovely art centre and forest museum at Lusto. The layout of the interior shows clearly it was a former hospital, but it's given charm by the old photos, tiny lounges...

A nice experience and, above all, an elevating experience. Unique nature and an old sanatorium building, where guests were welcomed with a warm attitude even at midnight. Fresh strawberries with oatmeals.

A fine Art Nouveau villa. Part of the properties of the Spa Hotel Kruunupuisto. Truly magnificent ridge formations between Puruvesi and Pihlajavesi. The property is lined, among other things, for organizing various events.

Welcome Return Visit I have stayed here before and hope to again. Right in the center of town and an easy walk to the train & bus station. The single rooms are small,particularly the bathrooms but the location, breakfast and friendly, helpful staff more than make up for tha. And there’s a pool and sauna!

Highly recommended, also we were upgraded for free to a bigger room and another space for a bed . Room an bed are clean , conveniently located next to Stockmann too. Very convenient room with essentials amneties. The staff are friendly and I felt well welcomed. The location is really convenient, it’s near the central train station and has also taxi service that transfers from hotel to airport at a fixed price and also on time.

Great location. Great staff. And a fair price for that. But the room is something to carefully consider. It is small. And you can see prior to booking. I did not mind. But I cannot even open my suitcase without blocking the door. It was cold. The heater works, but seems not to be enough. The bed, at least for me, is not comfortable. Thin topper and springs underneath that punctured me. And the walls...

It's a really cozy and nice place to stay. It's in the heart of the town, only few minutes away by foot from metro. It's really warm unlike the weather outside, and has the best customer service. 100% value for money!!

Excellent location, biggest shopping malls in town are right around the corner, all tourist attractions are within walking distance. No any disappointment for a boutique hotel excellent for a few days stay in town.

It was very clean, and although the house was small, it had everything you needed. A microwave, kettle, and coffee powder were provided. Surprisingly, it even had air conditioning, which is almost unique in this kind of small, unmanned hotel.

Room was clean and quiet. The lady who cleaned the rooms was very nice and helpful. I would highly recommended this hotel.

The room decor was very cozy, and we spent Christmas Eve in Rovaniemi. Both ladies at the front desk were incredibly warm and cheerful. The breakfast was fantastic!

Spa department is not that modern anymore, for example there is no cold water pool, but if that isn’t a big deal for you, this is a good place to go and spend a weekend. Breakfast is generous. Vicinity of the sea is a good bonus.

Huge thanks to Grace for her professionalism and enthusiasm, which made our Arctic Circle trip absolutely perfect and filled with magical memories. From the initial itinerary discussions to the flawless conclusion, every step truly demonstrated the value of a bespoke service. If you're a couple, make sure to book for two people. Otherwise, the hotel charges extra if only one person is listed. The room temperature isn't adjustable, and the pillows are just okay. The hotel breakfast is decent, but dinner really isn't suitable for a Chinese palate. Overall, the service is good; they can help book activities you're interested in.

Amazing hotel and staff. Faultless. Big kudos to the hotel concierge Habib who went above and beyond to save our itinerary because of a cancelled tour we booked ourselves. He managed to book us an aurora hunting tour and made us dinner reservations a couple of hours before the tour started and thanks to his efforts we saw the best aurora show.

We stayed in Arctic tree house hotel for 3 days. We found the experience underwhelming. For the price you pay, only breakfast is included. And for all the 3 days we stayed, breakfast was the same everyday. It was kinda surprising and disappointing for the amount we pay. Nothing is included in the price like a gym or a sauna. We expected hotel staff to give us some recommendations but didn’t get any...

The hotel is special for its theme as it was a prison before. The room is clean and secured. The staff and very friendly to guide you the direction. The restaurant has quiet and private place to eat, blending in the nature! Though a bit far away from the centre, take light luggage is high suggested!

Hotel is spacious and has an interesting history. The location, including the rest of the Kakola restaurants and businesses is beautiful although a bit in convenient to reach/leave. The funicular is very helpful and adds a fun quirk. Perhaps due to location, hotel and room amenities are plentiful. Service was amazing!

A good choice for a hotel when visiting Mariehamn. Walking distance from the port where cruises like Viking Line and Tallink docks, and you can reach a lot of the activites around Mariehamn by foot from here. The rooms had good ventilation and AC in the heat, perfectly good beds and the breakfast had lots to pick from, including warm options, and even vegan glutenfree alternatives.

Solid choice in Mariehamn. Central location. Not a difficult walk from the ferry, and close to everything else. My room was nice enough, WiFi worked great, and breakfast was really tasty. Best, the front desk helped me arrange a rental car for a day of exploring beautiful and interesting Aland.

There are good and bad points to this place. we really liked the location. It’s a nice spot not far from the frozen lake and ski lifts and a short walk into the main village. Free washing machine under building for laundry. Stayed in block Q. Definitely not ski in! Probably 300m walk to first possible point to put skis on and ski down to T bar lift. Gets a bit annoying by the end!

In this hotel, I felt like I was stepping back in time to almost a century ago. Yet, at the same time, it had modern conveniences - an updated bathroom, elevator, a sunroom and a restaurant downstairs with outdoor seating. The location could not have been better for a tourist like me and the staff was wonderful.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the river and not to far from the railway station. The breakfast is OK, though you have to eat it in the gloom of a room that is inadequately lit. The hotel has 6 or 7 floors but only one tiny elevator. The room was a decent size though it had a tiny bathroom. The beds were comfortable, but noise leaked into the room through the thin walls.

The renovated Scandic Kallio is the only hotel in the area that exudes the ruggedness and authenticity of the bohemian district. The color scheme and furniture of the rooms reflect Kallio's urban city atmosphere, without forgetting the earthiness.
