There were four of us on a cycling holiday. The hotel provided safe storage for our bikes in an inner courtyard - we wheeled our bikes through reception. It is an old building which has been carefully and romantically redeveloped into a hotel. It has charm. Breakfast was served in a room which also serves as an art gallery. The hotel is right in the old town so easy walks to the main sights and restaurants

Stayed here one night before we were to board a river cruise ship the next day. Hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable. Staff was very friendly, also had a decent buffet breakfast in the morning. We stayed in the top suite for one night in January, and it was outstanding. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, the indoor bathtub and spa shower, the private outdoor hot tub, and private outdoor sauna. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. My only issue throughout our stay was that all of the soaps and lotions at the hotel had some type of nut ingredient in them. My partner has a severe nut allergy and felt quite uncomfortable after finding out soaps and lotions were made from nuts. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. We had a superior room that was well appointed, nicely furnished, spacious and clean. 10 pm kids running wild in the hallway and neighboring room were the only drawback but not the fault of the hotel.

Get to this hotel if you want to be in a quiet nice residential suburb. Service is good and the restaurant is reputed to be excellent. Very luxurious feel overall but especially the breakfast. (Vast majority of hotels in Munich that you will find on the usual sites will be near the train station which is not a bad area now, but used to be run down.)
