A normal hotel. Don't expect anything special. Unfortunately, there was a large hole in the towel and several silverfish in the bathroom. The bar was already closed Friday evening, which is a shame. The food and service were average. But it was perfectly adequate for one night. The location by the lake was lovely. Plenty of free parking.

The environment is good, and it's close to the city center. There's no free parking, it costs 12 euros + 6 euros. Breakfast is 18 euros. Not worth it.

Location is perfect, within 5min walking distance to their old town and market square, 10-15min drive to Neuschwanstein Castle (parking area). The room is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They provide onsite parking, need check in first, get the keycard to open the garrage gate.

This is a newly opened hotel with relatively new facilities. It's located right by the roadside, about a 20-minute drive from Dahao Plaza in the city center. Breakfast is a buffet with a decent variety, and parking is convenient.

Could be better Evening buffet was overpriced for what it was, and if you forget to bring back the empty bottle of water at check-out you’ll be charged 10,- euro ! Why can’t they just bring it back when they clean the room, which wasn’t to good, no vacuum cleaning for five days. Therevwhere no towels in spa area or drinking water in the gym, and no fridge in the room.

Great thermals. Hotel was all inclusive. The meals were 5 stars. Able to move from hotel to mineral therms by tunnel and never had to go outside. Numerous baths. The light show is a must.

Some parts of the Schindlerhof Hotel are very pleasant—esp. the Japanese garden and the restaurant. Other elements are somewhat disappointing—e.g. room amenities. No bathrobes. And a “cosmetics bar” where guests are invited to BUY basic amenities like moisturizing lotion. Seems a bit tawdry for a hotel that aspires to ‘luxury’ status.

We stayed one night on our way to Austria from The Netherlands and it met the purpose. A no nonsense hotel with a clean room that was well equipped. We try to visit every couple of months to enjoy a long weekend. The hotel is beautiful, handled with love, and the owner makes sure your special. The entrance to the Therme is very convenient and we just adore spending time there.

Ok location close to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Rooms were clean and large but no aircon on a hot summer day. Good breakfast. Some staff only talked german. Didn't use the spa witch is the big thing there.

One caveat: The wellness pool is, and always has been, disfunctionally cold, in winter at least. Even if you go in, you'll have to leave a few minuntes in because you just don't adapt. It really feels like a cold sauna plunge tub, which I use it for. There is a small hot tub, which is almost guaranteed to always be fully occupied during the evening. Saunas are good tho.

The food was really good! The buffet offers soooo many delicious things, wow! The spa area consists of 4 saunas, but unfortunately only one is really hot. Second time here. I love this resort. It’s truly in a beautiful location and has an incredible spa. Dining is a bit expensive but worth it. Take time to hike around the region. Live music in the evenings is a bonus!

Sport hotel with class! A great hotel, a bit outside of Oberstdorf. But there is a bus right outside the hotel. It takes only a couple of minutes - and you get a card from the hotel - so no charge. Huge breakfast buffet, lovely staff and a really nice spa area. The hotel bar was also great. The only minus was that my room was in a corner and the amazing view from the balcony was a bit blocked.

We stayed as a couple for 4 nights with half board at Haus Alpensonne. We would have preferred to stay in the main building, as rooms were available, but you wanted an extra €80 for it. The beds were far too soft and worn out; a mattress change was definitely in order. A cozy, comfortable hotel in a quiet location in Tiefenbach, 4 kilometres from Oberstdorf. So far, it was OK with room for improvement. The hotel was OK for 3 days. After reading some reports and comparisons beforehand, we booked the hotel with half board. The cozy room was a double room with a connecting door to the neighboring room. Actually a no-go for us. Dogs were also allowed in the hotel, but we had no information about that either.

If you do not have any disability much of this review is not relevant to you. We visited elderly relatives in Germany and booked here as a place where we could all meet. In the UK there are disability laws that require hotels and restaurants to make their facilities open to all eg wheelchair access. This is not the case in Germany and so most hotels are not adapted.
