This is the best hotel in the Bavarian region. Very clean, warm, and quiet. The hotel staff is wonderful and speaks multiple languages. It offers an authentic Bavarian village atmosphere and a top-notch restaurant. It's conveniently located, close to popular tourist attractions. This is our third year in a row staying at this hotel, and we have only the best memories.

Right in front of Ettal Abbey so you can't beat the location. We got the comfort apartment and it had everything (no ac which is common in the region)!!! Plus was super clean and spacious. It wasn't in the main building and we needed to take two flights of stairs, but the room and view made up for that workout.

The staff is super friendly, cleanliness is a top priority, the ambiance doesn't feel cozy to me, the bar has great cocktails, but it's not a place you'd want to linger. Still worth a visit, and the bathrobe-clad walk into the thermal baths is unbeatable!

Some parts of the Schindlerhof Hotel are very pleasant—esp. the Japanese garden and the restaurant. Other elements are somewhat disappointing—e.g. room amenities. No bathrobes. And a “cosmetics bar” where guests are invited to BUY basic amenities like moisturizing lotion. Seems a bit tawdry for a hotel that aspires to ‘luxury’ status.

Kudos to Laura , Tina, and Sanjay for their attentiveness to us. Breakfast is pricey but service is good, elevator is not available for upper floors so you need to make sure you mention this if you need one when booking.

We stayed one night on our way to Austria from The Netherlands and it met the purpose. A no nonsense hotel with a clean room that was well equipped. We try to visit every couple of months to enjoy a long weekend. The hotel is beautiful, handled with love, and the owner makes sure your special. The entrance to the Therme is very convenient and we just adore spending time there.

Ok location close to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Rooms were clean and large but no aircon on a hot summer day. Good breakfast. Some staff only talked german. Didn't use the spa witch is the big thing there.

One caveat: The wellness pool is, and always has been, disfunctionally cold, in winter at least. Even if you go in, you'll have to leave a few minuntes in because you just don't adapt. It really feels like a cold sauna plunge tub, which I use it for. There is a small hot tub, which is almost guaranteed to always be fully occupied during the evening. Saunas are good tho.

The food was really good! The buffet offers soooo many delicious things, wow! The spa area consists of 4 saunas, but unfortunately only one is really hot. Second time here. I love this resort. It’s truly in a beautiful location and has an incredible spa. Dining is a bit expensive but worth it. Take time to hike around the region. Live music in the evenings is a bonus!

Sport hotel with class! A great hotel, a bit outside of Oberstdorf. But there is a bus right outside the hotel. It takes only a couple of minutes - and you get a card from the hotel - so no charge. Huge breakfast buffet, lovely staff and a really nice spa area. The hotel bar was also great. The only minus was that my room was in a corner and the amazing view from the balcony was a bit blocked.

The other ratings are not quite fair, you cannot expect a Hilton when booking a room here. It is a lower cost option in Bayreuth, but they also offer a good transfer option to and from the opera house. It is a bit out of the city, but the bus stop is in front of the hotel. This hotel is outdated with dim lighting. Only 1 free bottle of water; refills cost €5. The worst part: I paid extra €20 for breakfast that the staff approved during early check-in. After complaining, they promised an email response — 2 weeks with zero contact. Worst service, no integrity.

This is a wonderful hotel that makes any visit to the Bayreuth Wagner Festival extremely special. Little touches include the little note at breakfast announcing the forthcoming performance, the apéro in the afternoon before a shuttle-bus trip to and from the Festspielhaus and the option to dine after a performance. Even seeing the music on the stave above the beds is charming.

The Glöcklhofer is a nice hotel close to the castle in Burghousen. It as a spa and is also about 1 km from the old town. The rooms are comfortable and well isolated, the only detail is they have carpet which I personally don't like.

So far, it was OK with room for improvement. The hotel was OK for 3 days. After reading some reports and comparisons beforehand, we booked the hotel with half board. The cozy room was a double room with a connecting door to the neighboring room. Actually a no-go for us. Dogs were also allowed in the hotel, but we had no information about that either.

Nice hotel, relatively isolated This hotel is nice but quite isolated however if you came to relax here its not a problem as you have 2 pools to choose from and 3 Saunas.
