Clean room, close to city center

This property went above my expectations, the rooms were very decent and cosy.Wonderful customer service and walkable to all the beautiful sightseeing areas of Koln.I would recommend over and over.

The location from the hotel to the main attractions is perfect. You can reach Old Town and the Rhine river in about 5 minutes. The Cathedral and train station was about a 12-15 minute walk

I definitely enjoyed my stay at this property. The staff were very friendly, especially the gentleman working the front desk. The room was really clean and the neighborhood was quiet

And the staff, what can I say, what a credit to the organisation, from the young girls in the breakfast room, to the reception staff and the night watchman, nothing was to much trouble , and every request came with a smile

Our room had a,few issue's like tap on bathroom sprayed mirror and shower wasn't enthusiastic in its power but we only used as a base. Good point is its near the train station which takes 10 minutes and cathedral

The room is the size of a normal budget hotel, with sufficient heating and windows that cannot be opened. Disposable toothbrushes and slippers are not provided as is common in Europe, so you need to bring your own

There is a heated towel rack to dry clothes, which is very convenient. The front desk staff is very friendly, and there are postcards on the 0th floor for you to pick up

The bathroom conditions are barely acceptable, not suitable for those with obsessive-compulsive disorder but suitable for those who want cost-effectiveness

Hotel is by city center, very close to everything. Rooms are old and not too clean, restrooms could use some deep cleaning. Linen was clean and staff very nice

I just want tosay that please add the slippers for the guest as the person who is coming from different country can’t travel with the slippers because of luggage limitations.

Nice large, clean and quiet room for 3 (#15). With space for 3 pieces of luggage. Heating towel rack; which was great as the staff did not clean the room between nights. A bit of rust stain around the shower door

The Hotel Windsor is greatly located (very close from the center), the room is clean and the reception is incredibly kind.

The staff is super welcoming and so nice, I enjoyed each conversation. Interior of the reception and hotel in general is nice old style, loved it. The room was spacious enough, clean and light, comfortable

Very roomy, clean and comfortable. The lift is small and stairs are steep, no big deal. Dinner recommendation was on point! Only down side is trying to find parking to check in

The parking garage is half a block away and once accessed super easy. Totally recommend staying here!

It is very close to the city center and can be reached on foot. Check in at 3 pm. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage for free. The service staff is very enthusiastic. I will choose this hotel next time.

Also the fact that we needed to wait for half an hour for check in because reception was empty didn't make it better. The location is in the very center of the city though

Disposable slippers are also provided (it's not as environmentally friendly as Europe, so don't have high expectations for slippers) There are many restaurants nearby, as well as a Vietnamese pho shop (3 minutes' walk away)

It's only a 10-minute walk from the main train station. It's very convenient to go everywhere. There's a supermarket, subway, and tram downstairs, and it's a 2-minute walk to the shopping street

The hostel is perfect in all ways: very, very clean; a kitchen for your use; ideally located in the city center; a supermarket downstairs working until late; smiling hostel staff

Great location. Everything is within easy reach and it's quiet. They have a handheld hairdryer and disposable slippers. The bed is huge and comfortable.

Right downstairs, you have direct access to a shopping center, and the Rhine River is just across the street. Plus, it's very close to the train station.

The only downside was that the toilet was outside the room, but since it was private, I had no issues whatsoever. The hotel's location was excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Cologne Central Station

I assume I was a bit concerned due to being such an old looking hotel but I ended up finding it really cosy and full of history! Very well located and nice outside space to take a few beers

Had dinner here and really enjoyed the experience. Servers were friendly, menues had pictures which helped selecting dishes. Portion sizes and prices were fair for the location

I stayed here whilst touring Cologne. The hotel is located on the ring and is some 20 minutes walk to the cathedral/station/centre. I had a comfortable and good sized room

We can arrange their parking area with fair price. Furniture is a little bit old style but room was clean and there was no noise You can walk to Dom in 10 mins

There are a lot of good restaurants near the hotel Family can select this hotel. We have a 6 year’s old daughter and she walks every locations without any complaints

Loved the neighborhood of this hotel and the walkability to the cathedral. Rooms were basic but clean and quiet. Big bonus was the breakfast- my kids loved it!

I enjoyed the room overall — it was clean, comfortable, and nicely kept. The bed was a bit small for a double, and while I found it okay, my partner didn’t love it, so I’d say the comfort level was “medium

I do think the price was very high for what it was — likely because we stayed over a Christmas market weekend, when everything is more expensive. We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that

Nice hotel near Central Train station in Köln. The Lobby is nice, looks like a 3-4 stars hotel . At reception was a ok man from India. The hotel is good and the price ok , like 80 euro .

It is a very old hotel but we were comfortable and all slept well. A kettle with coffee making facilities in the room would have been a great addition

Came for the Christmas market and this is the perfect hotel for its location. For the room, very impressed with how spacious it is and the attic is wonderful. The only downside is there is no proper wardrobe for cloths

No staff really on site, a desk clerk for a few hours but nothing needed, the instructions are clear and they contacted me before our arrival. Our room was quite large with an upstairs loft!

It was quirky in that there were no keys you had to input your last name into a kiosk and then it gave you a code for the front door and a different one for your room. No elevator and a curved staircase

I will certainly stay in Hotel Esplanade next times i visit the city. I was given a nice clean and quiet room, moreover i especially enjoyed the breakfast and the convenient location.

I was really feeling safe and comfortable here and ii will be back for it's position: central, close to Laxess arena, train station and city center

The TV did not work for television or for HDMI input to use for working at the desk. Breakfast was not available to purchase when I stayed the night in April. Walkable to the city center and next to a major tram line

the furniture was cool, modified to give you more space: smaller door for bathroom give room for a larger bed and a nice wall mirror to get even more space

The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. A balcony is available upon request for smokers. Parking is available for €16 per day. It's close to the center (15-minute walk). The staff were very welcoming.

The walls are thin but it was still okay for us. All in all, it was a great stay and one of the cheapest hotels in the city center. Can recommend this hotel to everyone! :)

The location of the hotel is really good. It’s near to everything in walking distance. The rooms are simple but good and clean. The bed was comfortable enough for two nights and the service was good as well

The location was great (10 min from the HBF) and the room was clean but people should be aware the hotel is in the center of a construction project, tearing down and rebuilding multiple buildings and they start at 7 or 8 am in the morning

The airline lost our luggage for 5/7 days of our trip and the hotel staff went above and beyond, even going so far as to check what rights we had, finding out about how to go about reimbursement, and checking in to see if we had gotten it yet! Our train doesn’t leave until 1:00 so the front desk allowed us to stay in our room till 12! We have felt so at home here and can’t wait to come back!

The balcony offered a view of half of the cathedral's spire, which was beautiful at sunset! However, the biggest problem was the lack of an elevator! Carrying two large suitcases up to the fourth floor was really inconvenient! The hotel is a bit far from the central station, about a 15-minute walk
