Hotel is by city center, very close to everything. Rooms are old and not too clean, restrooms could use some deep cleaning. Linen was clean and staff very nice

I just want tosay that please add the slippers for the guest as the person who is coming from different country can’t travel with the slippers because of luggage limitations.

Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with good value for money. Minor check-in hiccup with an unclean room, but staff handled it quickly and professionally

Good for startup founders who just want to stay overnight, good location, REWE direct opposite. If you close the windows, it won't be too loud. Kitchen, bath, toilette, all clean

The hostel is very affordable, so you can expect it to be minimalistic and if you are a light sleeper you should bring earplugs due to the close tramline

Recommended for guys and lads travelling, startup founders. Not recommended for family, group of women with high demand in service and parfume

Would recommend if friends are only looking for a place to crash at night

It was a nice hostel generally, enjoyed the stay there, there is a kitchen with a common space. However it could have been cleaner, there were some crumbs on the floor in the private room when we arrived

Next time I will eat in local cafe. This aside, the room is comfortable, could be little more soundproofing on windows though! I think this is reflected in the price considering central cologne as well

The walls are thin but it was still okay for us. All in all, it was a great stay and one of the cheapest hotels in the city center. Can recommend this hotel to everyone! :)

Located centrally close to city and train station

The location of the hotel is really good. It’s near to everything in walking distance. The rooms are simple but good and clean. The bed was comfortable enough for two nights and the service was good as well

The location was great (10 min from the HBF) and the room was clean but people should be aware the hotel is in the center of a construction project, tearing down and rebuilding multiple buildings and they start at 7 or 8 am in the morning

The hotel is centrally located, about 10 minutes walk away from the train station. The room was clean and quite large, and the bed was comfortable. What I liked most about this hotel was the breakfast

The balcony offered a view of half of the cathedral's spire, which was beautiful at sunset! However, the biggest problem was the lack of an elevator! Carrying two large suitcases up to the fourth floor was really inconvenient! The hotel is a bit far from the central station, about a 15-minute walk

The cathedral is right behind the central station, so it's still very convenient

However!!! The croissants at breakfast were the most unforgettable food of our trip! Freshly served hot, they were so delicious!! Even our elders, who don't like bread, kept talking about how good they were!! If a hotel can make you remember something, then it's a success

Rooms are small but the furnitures are new and modern. The location is perfect, in the heart of Cologne. The staff is very helpful and quality of breakfast is great with a lot of options

The location of the Sion Hotel is great, right near the Heumarkt and the cathedral. Nice staff, good breakfast buffet. The double rooms and bathrooms are a bit small, but you don't spend too long in the hotel

In additon, you get tickets to taste the Sion beer at the pub just around the corner. I will definetely come back to this hotel in my future travels to Cologne

I visited this hotel with my girlfriend for a 2-day trip to Cologne. We were welcomed positively at the reception and led to our hotel room fairly quickly. The room looked good and tidy

Parking was possible in the parking garage at the Heumarkt

The hygiene was top in the entire room, with the bathroom being compact but tidy. The only downside was that the bathroom made a noise when the light was on

Right downstairs, you have direct access to a shopping center, and the Rhine River is just across the street. Plus, it's very close to the train station.

The only downside was that the toilet was outside the room, but since it was private, I had no issues whatsoever. The hotel's location was excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Cologne Central Station

I was happy with the hotel and the price. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, breakfast is good. It’s also quite central but the downside of this is that it’s a bit noisy.

I assume I was a bit concerned due to being such an old looking hotel but I ended up finding it really cosy and full of history! Very well located and nice outside space to take a few beers

Had dinner here and really enjoyed the experience. Servers were friendly, menues had pictures which helped selecting dishes. Portion sizes and prices were fair for the location

And yes, the breakfast is different. its more of a coffee shop breakfast in which you choose from a menu with a variety of choices. you want a Bouffe? go someplace else. I stayed there and it was excellent

Room is modern and nice and perfect for a single use. The location is awesome, just an alley in the heart of the city. went out directly to the christmas fare. Breakfast was good to start the morning with a good note

Stop bitching, will ya!? This hotel is excellent. you do your homework and you won't have problems. Yes, the hotel doesn't have an elevator. you should have checked in advanced. They won't build one just for you

Location was perfect! We were steps away from a Christmas market, food, shopping, and a two minute walk to the Rhine

And mostly - Service level as high as you can expeect. I promise to come back again next time i'm in Cologne

There is no air conditioning which would be a necessity in high summer!

Disappointed in standard of hotel, on arrival was told all parking was booked out. Room on 3rd floor was small with unwanted extra bed taking up spare space

3 days 2 nights trip to Cologne with a friend. Not in the town centre, but if you don’t mind a little extra walk compared to expensive hotel in town centre, you should be fine. Be mindful if you bring loads of luggage

As for the location, it's great. Very close to trams (9, 12, 15. ) and a very central location, 20 minute walk from the Dom (10 minutes with public transport ) and a 7 minute walk from the Neumarkt

The front desk staff was kind, the location was good, and the breakfast was delicious. The shower didn't have hot water, but it was hot that day so it wasn't a problem.

It's not a fancy shamancy hotel, but the location is wonderful, really close to the Central Station. The rooms are big, breakfast is regular European breakfast

There is a small elevator and great breakfast. Not the best layout for a work-vacation but perfect for your visit to this fabulous city on the Rhine

One thing to note, if you're sensitive to noises they don't have a good noise isolation

Spacious rooms, near the station and cathedral at the river bank. Key to the room was obtained from a locker at the door. Can be noisy from people outside but closing the windows reduces the sound sufficient

Location convenient for walking around the surrounding area including past the opera house and over to the love lock bridge but getting in and out of the hotel is awkward as there didn’t appear to be a lift

Fantastic location on the river, close to the train station, cathedral, and Christmas markets. Clean room cleaned daily and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Strange thing is that hotel offers you apartments not just rooms, which are located so far away from the embankment.

Location is nice, right near the riverbed. Room is clean, bed also clean and comfortable as well.

Location was idea, beds very comfortable and lots of space. Location was perfect for a city break. However the shower temperature was temperamental and the towels were as rough as sandpaper.

If you don’t know Cologne, trust me - this is a place to be! Incredible advantage is spacious lounge/common rooms (playrooms, they are called) that served me perfectly for work meetings. The hotel itself is a bit weary

It doesn’t bother me too much but you can see that the bathroom hasn’t been renovated for a while (tap was spraying everywhere and toilet only had one type of flush), also some common areas are crying for a refresh

It’s my second Tante Alma stay and first in this location. I appreciate the elaborate concept and its consistency across all their houses. It might not be everybody’s cup of tea but it works for me

Loved it, the hotel is in a great location, the room was clean and the bathroom well equipped with both a shower and bath. There was a bank, kiosks and plenty of bars and cafes nearby

Comfy mattress, pillow could be better (and smaller), but hey - for this price, all good! Also a fridge in the room is a plus, but sadly a kettle was missing

Hotel is in a fantastic location walkable to the Cologne Cathedral, Fatima House Eau de Cologne Museum and Chocolate Factory. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was an extra cost, not cheap but good

Convenient and friendly good location about 15 mins walk from City centre. Choice of restaurants within 10 mins walk. Hotel was quiet- very few guests in late July. Rooms are spread over 6 or 7 floors

Only got water bottle the first night. Would have been nice to get one each of our four days.

No one came to tidy our room up the only day we were there even though we left the sign on the door. Everything was clean when we arrived though. Mattress was comfortable but pillows were way to soft

Convenience, from the Central Station you take Train #5 two short stops and then hotel a 3 minute walk, and a great supermarket. Once in the hotel , very stylish

The one disappointment, which happens frequently, is that they have next door another property with a gym/spa and as seein in the photo of the entrance where the word HOTEL is, thats a doorway you don;t use but its likely a home for the homeless or just where they go and urinate

They are unable to do anything about this, and they don;t think to wash the area daily

The service in the hotel is good. The location faces the Rhine River and the scenery is great when the weather is clear. There is a restaurant and pub downstairs, but it is a bit noisy in the middle of the night

Fantastic view, in the middle of the old town. Parking for 5 € per day nearby. Within walking distance of Music Dome. And a royal breakfast with a glass of sparkling wine and salmon. Real holiday

Located at very strategic location. Walking distance to the main tourist attraction. The hotel also provides free pastry and coffee in the morning

Only downside, we only realise there is a 50% discount with selected parking garage after parked our car and checked in. This is important information that should be mentioned on the website

Hidden in plain sight is this unexpected gem of a hotel. Located on the other side of the Rhine, near the beautiful Deutzer Brücke. Next to tram 7 that takes you straight to Dom and city center in 5 minutes

The hotel is beautifully located. Close the city centre. It's clean and has nice decor. However, my room was super cold.

We loved the atmosphere of this place! Our room (25) was perfectly clean. Little balcony with morning sun and nice biew. In the room a surprisingly huge Samsung screen that has mirror-your-phone feature

A lovely little hotel in a medieval style. The rooms are perfectly adequate for a weekend stay or an overnight trip. A big plus is the excellent breakfast buffet, which starts as early as 6:30 AM

Stunning and extraordinary location to experience Köln. I stayed in the venerable Salon Suite and I cannot extrapolate the beauty of this room with words. Best hotel room I’ve ever had

Nice hotel - we had a double room which came with a view of the cathedral. The bed wasn't a double but two singles pushed together, which was fine. Beds were very soft, pillows were poor (very very thin)

The hotel is close to Hansaring station and the cathedral. There’re restaurants and supermarket nearby. The single room is also spacious, and the decoration is nice. Staff are friendly.

Great stay at the 18Arts Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. The shower was hot, the bed was firm. I would not recommend this hotel for those with limited mobility as there is no lift.
