Mountain chalet style apartment near the center of Cologne. Very comfortable beds, smart TV with Netflix, kitchen equipped with toaster and microwave, many electrical outlets. Very courteous and professional staff

In the centre of Cologne, very well located for the Rhine, the Central Station and shopping.

Kitchen was fully stocked Beds comfortable and room was like vintage German. We love our stay party of 6 . Very reasonable in price. Only downfall was parking but that’s Germany .

Parking wasn’t as easy as I had thought it would be. We were able to park on curb for free Sunday but were told we might get a ticket on Monday. We didn’t.

A really nice traditional hotel, great city center location, a decent breakfast, Nicely appointed rooms, a few minor issues with the fixtures but nothing that detracted from the enjoyment of our stay, well priced

There were 4-5 Christmas markets within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast was served in a beautifully decorated breakfast room. It was a typical German breakfast, a substantial continental breakfast

the street was a bit dark for me at night when walking alone. Also, the hotel desk is not staffed overnight. I would recommend this hotel but I do not think it is appropriate for older, solo female travelers

The bathroom was very clean and had a large and excellent shower with plenty of hard water. The bed was comfortable although might be hard for some. There is free wifi but it wasn’t always a good signal

I appreciated that the automated check-in was very simple, often in Airbnbs or other hotels you have to go through a convoluted process that feels like an escape room before you make it to your room but here I just got a code, entered that on the main door and that was it

I was in town for the ANUGA trade fair earlier this month, and while the hotel's location was perfect (just a stone's throw from the Cathedral) and the rooms were exactly right—spotlessly clean and tidied daily—the real story here is the incredible staff

The room itself was small but perfect: clean, comfortable and with good wifi connection. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Cologne again one day

My trip took a painful turn when too many excellent German beers triggered a brutal gout attack. With my foot throbbing, I felt desperate

Location was great, only a 10 minute or so walk into the city centre but there were other shops and bars in the freisenstraase area also close by. I would happily stay here again

There is no actual reception but there is a workspace downstairs, where I believe the owner often resides. The room itself was small but perfectly formed, a simple bed, desk, wardrobe and a private bathroom

Came and stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with friends which has very friendly receptionist and is a great location just across the road from a train station and around the corner from the koln triangle, at has a bar and an eating area but i never used these, you could purchase additional breakfast and gas a nice busy Mexican restaurant one or two doors away

The only downside was not much storage space in the room's but other than that, a great price and would recommend for a budget stay

It Is also a great location with just a short walk away being the main bridge which leads to the main cologne cathedral, great location and a pleasant stay which would reccomend

The hotel itself was clean, has decent sized room's and good working bathroom facilities

Luckily on the next day I met another receptionist who spoke English. There was no free wifi which hampered customer's external communication

Hotel cara vita is small family hotel. For shopping, locate near center, parking also. Breakfast is excellent for what you pay. I think this hotel is perfect

We used the sofa bed - it wasn’t amazing but definitely did the job. Hotel doesn’t look great from the outside but had a decent breakfast, staff were helpful and it’s an easy walk to the cathedral etc

Close to the cathedral, large room on the 4th floor with 3 balconies, good breakfast, very friendly staff, refrigerator in the room, kiosk directly opposite – all in all a very positive stay.

There are car parks nearby and it was easy to find. Would recommend for the price and location

Check-in was a bit complicated. The code for the key box was not sent as agreed. It was only after several phone calls that we received the code and were able to go into the hotel and then into the rooms.

Very decent hotel right smack in the shopping belt. Supermarket nearby with a lot of shops and near to the Dom. Only downside is that there is no elevator and we had to walk up 3 storeys with a couple of luggage’s.

3-star hotel with an excellent hospitality. The street is quiet close to the cathedral. The breakfast is served in a room very well decorated. the rooms are small but very clean decor new, same for the shower room

lol I've stayed in several hotels in Europe, and this one was by far the cleanest. Being used to the quality of cleaning in Japan, I was often disappointed in Europe, but this one was fantastic

(They even had disposable slippers, which are rare in Europe!) There's just one thing to be aware of: There's a chance that the front desk won't be staffed when you check in, so you'll need to call the hotel

We were able to check in earlier than the 3:00 pm The man greeted us warmly and spoke English. He explained everything so thoroughly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable

It was good to stay here, everything was good, location was okay, close the transportation, but one problem was there is no elevator. I recommend to stay here.

the underground train station is just a few minutes walk and just 1 station away to the main station. A restaurant is directly below the building as well as in and around the area

The hotel is in a really nice location, everything is clean and proper and you're surrounded by food options while still being calm and cozy at night

there is no airco or fans though so if your stay is in the middle of a heatwave you will be uncomfortable

The station was just a one-minute walk away, which was super convenient! The next station to the nearest station was Köln Central Station, so I had no trouble getting anywhere.

We had a fridge in the room, the rooms were very clean and honestly that was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was the best sleep I've had my trip so far

Good affordable hotel about a fifteen minute walk from the center of Cologne. There is no elevator to that hasn't been a problem for me. Breakfast is simple but tasty

Another thing to note: if you want your room cleaned (or even just the trash emptied), you need to specifically request it at the front desk. The breakfasts are delicious (you can order an omelet with any additions)

It's very close to Central Station and Cologne Cathedral. There's also a Chinese restaurant downstairs. The room was nice, with a tub and separate shower and toilet. The staff were also very kind and welcoming.

Stayed for a few nights in August. Amazing location right next to the Rhine and many restaurants and activities. A few minutes walk to the cathedral and shopping streets. Bathroom and bath were outstanding

We had a very pleasant stay. The proximity to everything, the cleanliness and style of the rooms were excellent. The only downside was that the rooms were a bit gloomy in terms of design.

Very nice staff, super location and the price is also fine. For 10 Euro per day, you can even Park in the underground garage opposite. But it's best to book with book.

Amazing value I would 100% recommend no complaints at all, I was able to enter at 3AM due to our late flight with no problems. Keys are on phones so are very easy. Just the best hotel I could have gone too.

There's a large supermarket nearby, which is convenient. The underground parking lot is easily accessible. While parking is paid, you can get a small discount if you pay at the hotel

Excellent hotel in Friesenplatz. Bustling street just 50 metres away with lots of cafes and restaurants. Hotel itself is super clean and modern and has excellent rooms. Breakfast is superb as well.

Very clean and comfortable room which was close to old town and the Dom. the only downside are the easily-tripped fire alarms. And the fact the room tended to get a little warm without the window open.

I’m a female solo traveller so feeling safe is a top priority for me. This hotel was perfect, it was close to the U-Bahn (about 7 minute walk)

The room was spacious, clean and it included a kitchenette, lounge with TV, double bed and modern bathroom

The kitchenette had plenty of amenities (microwave, fridge, kettle, hob, cutlery, plates and bowls, cooking equipment (pans, sieve etc)
