Nice hotel The hotel was close to the centre, 10min walk. There was also a station right by the hotel if needing transport to the centre station, too. The bar and lounge area was very nice and the room was very clean

This is the most satisfying hotel I've ever stayed in in Europe. It's right next to the metro station and only about a 15-minute walk from the main cathedral

The hotel staff were also very friendly, the rooms were spacious, and you could even see a corner of the cathedral. The hotel even provided a complimentary bottle of mineral water and a bottle of soda

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the location is really great you have all the public transport right in front of the hotel and also the room was very nice and clean, Id definitely stay here again!

Breakfast was also available, but I didn't have time to go. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Cologne! 🥰

It's not far from Cologne's main train station, about a 15-minute walk or one light rail stop away, and close to a metro station. The room has a view of the cathedral from the window

Decent hotel near train station. However it is not close to the city centre and is a 10-15 minutes walk from train station. Supermarket is next to location and convenient. Typical 4 star hotel amenities.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a very enjoyable experience. The location is excellent — close to everything and very convenient for exploring Cologne. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well prepared

Breakfast was good, and with a few small improvements, it has the potential to be even better. We also appreciated the overall cleanliness of the property, including the breakfast area

The hotel is great for a person looking for a semi-central stay at a great value. While there are above areas of improvements, it offers a comfortable stay and we would consider staying here again if we visit Cologne

Location is perfect for traveling on the train, the room was clean and nice. If you want any disposable items, you need to ask for them on the reception, also extra 50 euros for a deposit from credit card

The location slightly far from the central station and other sightseeing , yet it walkable . There is a tram station infront Of this hotel which will be handy if someone don’t wish to walk much .

Everything here is great. The staff is very friendly. But the room was very cold. I really like the minimalism, but I would have liked a small closet for coats.

We had an awesome view of the Cologne Cathedral from our window

Water was provided on the first day. Breakfast was a standard German breakfast. Convenient location; supermarkets and restaurants are nearby, and Cologne Cathedral is a 15-minute walk away

Loved the neighborhood of this hotel and the walkability to the cathedral. Rooms were basic but clean and quiet. Big bonus was the breakfast- my kids loved it!

I enjoyed the room overall — it was clean, comfortable, and nicely kept. The bed was a bit small for a double, and while I found it okay, my partner didn’t love it, so I’d say the comfort level was “medium

I do think the price was very high for what it was — likely because we stayed over a Christmas market weekend, when everything is more expensive. We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that

Overall, it’s a nice hotel, and I would return, but ideally at a lower price than what we paid this time. Nothing particularly negative; just a bit overpriced for the experience

First of all, it’s a great location — not too crowded, close to the train station, and just a short walk to the river, the Chocolate Museum, and the canal. The room was clean, and the service was decent.

Hotel Lyskirchen is very well located and easily accessible. The room was perfectly clean and equipped with everything needed

The swimming pool was also quite small, more for a quick dip than for relaxing. On the positive side, the hotel is located in the city centre, which made it convenient for sightseeing and dining out

The elevator was out of order, but the staff carried our luggage upstairs, which was much appreciated

Lyskirchen Köln is such a good choice even the locals and traveling Germans recommend it. The location is 5-7 minutes away from the Chocolate Museum and roughly 15 minutes from the cathedral and central station

Stayed for 2 nights while in Cologne, check in was very pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and big enough , shower room was also very clean

The room was nice and quiet, located in the lower-end part of the city center, conveniently located near the train station and airport, and within walking distance of Cologne Cathedral

While it's a bit of a distance from the Cologne Exhibition Center, it's conveniently located right next to the subway station, making it very accessible

Great Location! Especially for night life. Pubs, restaurants, shops, supermarket, clubs everything very handy. Transportation too. The accommodation was offering everything needed.

Good quiet rooms, a healthy breakfast, friendly staff and nightlife just around the corner. We highly recommend the Päffgen Brewery down the road, and Scotia Whisky Store

We had a night out before the titanic exhibition and wanted a hotel in a lively part of cologne. This Hotel in the Frieseviertel was perfect

The breakfast was very plentiful, the room was clean, and the receptionist was very welcoming

It is a nice walk, crossing Koln know steel bolted bridge watching Cathedral and train station. Hotel is nice and complete for its range and price. It has a nice and safe sub-parking

I also had to ask for margarine several days instead of having it be provided as staple, which is a bit wild to me and mildly annoying as looking, asking and waiting for this took some minutes out of my limited breakfast time on several days

There was shower gel residue on the shower walls, and I managed to catch a massive amount of dust with one of my shirts somehow - I believe from under the bathroom mirror, as I laid it on the sink

Decent hotel, stayed here during busy days and service was friendly and kind, hotel and room is what you could expect for the price and is fine for sure 😊 would come for another stay again

Breakfast It is great that there are allergen lists hanging out in the buffet area, but it would be even greater if then all food would also be labeled so you actually know what is what

General Impression The location right next to koelnmesse entrance east is great. While not 100% quiet, you did not hear other guests too much. Cleanliness Could have been better

Perfect location for a trip to Cologne. The hotel has everything you need, nice comfy rooms, a small fitness room if you want to use it. Breakfast is good and plenty of choice

Entrance to the hotel is straight line walking a cross the Brenzlauer Platz, about 100 m. Two small downsides: The mattress of the bed should be renewed and replaced with a harder one

And their was some disturbing noise (I am sensitive to noise, in particular at night) from either the compressor or larger blower of some air-conditioning (mine AC was switched off)

Enter the hotel, be greeted with a friendly smile and "just wait a moment" as they were serving another guess trying hard and quit successful to speak in his mother tongue (French)

Check in quickly, asked for a room not facing the train station and got one on the 10th floor. Today checking out another very friendly person

And the staff, what can I say, what a credit to the organisation, from the young girls in the breakfast room, to the reception staff and the night watchman, nothing was to much trouble , and every request came with a smile

Our room had a,few issue's like tap on bathroom sprayed mirror and shower wasn't enthusiastic in its power but we only used as a base. Good point is its near the train station which takes 10 minutes and cathedral

Stayed with family before Christmas, it was quiet, walking distance from the centre and public transport outside the hotel. Big choice of breakfast and the room we stayed in was big for all of us.

Friendly staff at the front desk. There’s no pool (in case you see the pictures from old reviews). You can hear the tram but not enough to bother us. The hotel is right in front of the Arena and near tram station

Breakfast was good, rooms were a little small but enough for one person. Sadly the TV didn't functioned perfectly. Netflix and many Channels weren't available but didn't mind it since it was just one night

It might be a bit noisy during the day, as the area downstairs is quite lively, but the street empties out at night. There are various supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient overall

Receptionist Ismena and others did their job perfectly. The housekeeping staff also was good. The hotel is very central within easy reach of shops, eating places and metro, trams, buses and the Central Station

The single room was indeed very small, haha, a bit like a student dormitory. However, the hygiene services were acceptable, and there was a complimentary bottle of sparkling water in the refrigerator

In the Center of cologne, Advertised spa is apparently a collaboration with an external spa and fitness club, which was not clear upon placing reservation

Great hotel with great location. 10 minutes walk from the city center(cathedral, train station) and 5 minutes walk from the river side with great places to take a beer looking at the water

The location was also excellent, right on Hoch Street; you can walk from the train station along Hoch Street and browse all the various shops

The location for me is perfect! It’s a nice place for many restaurants, bar and fun to do! Night shift staff Rumeysa was incredible! She is very helpful for solving problems! Bed room is clean and comfortable! Absolutely best hostels in Koln!

From Köln Hbf (Cologne Central Station), it's just a few minutes' walk after taking the train from Breslauer Platz. The quiet hours were well-implemented; no one was making noise

Wonderful place with a good breakfast. I bit outside central Cologne but within walking distance and close to Zoo and Botanical Garden. Parking usually available on the street for 5 Euro for 24 hours.

This was a wonderful hotel with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. It is housed in a historic building and has a unique and beautiful music theme as it used to be a music museum

Amazing breakfast and friendly staff made our time in Germany exceptional.

Room was clean, although bedding had hole in fitted sheet, there was a kettle and coffee maker with pods, room was reasonable quiet from traffic noise as at back of hotel.

The curtains are quite transparent and there are no blackout blinds, so the room gets bright very early in the morning. The bed was also a bit too soft for our taste, and the water pressure in the shower was quite low

The nearest underground station is heumarkt. Colognes main train station Köln hbf was also only a 15 min walk along the river side. Trains from here to the airport cost €3. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful

We stayed here for one night and were satisfied. The bathroom was quite new and modern, while the rest of the room could use an update. The only real downside was the parking situation, which was a nightmare

We stayed at the premises for a night. The premises are quite cheap and easy-to-find, just in one of the central busy streets. They have round the clock check-in desk. Overall, the check -in was easy and fast

Perfectly serviceable and in a central location but the room was very basic and entry was via a door to an outside corridor.

The room was simple, clean and comfy with a set of standard facilities attributed for the places like those. The bed was comfortable to sleep. They even provided bottled water courtesy the hotel, which was quite nice

The double bed was quite narrow, probably suitable for people under 1. 80m, but very comfortable, and the pillows were also pleasant

So it is definitely a nice handy place for a short stay in Cologne

It is necessary to take into account that the sign is very noticeable, but points to the restaurant at the hotel,and the hotel entrance is very inconspicuous, but in the restaurant point to the entrance

An absolute must if you want to experience the Kölsche culture, locals, food. Bier is the best and made in-house. Food is typical Cologne culture and amazing. We would have loved to be able to try the entire menu

Since there is no A/C the hotel does provide a fan. The hotel is located at the south end of Heumarket inside the Altstadt. I had no problem walking to any of my locations. Just a 16 minutes walk to Köln hbf

Clean and nicely designed rooms. They dont offer daily cleaning services unless you ask for it. They said its part of their sustainability efforts which was fine by us. Excellent location and friendly staff

The only downside was that the room could get too warm at night, so sometimes I had to open the window and let some cool air in. And I added the breakfast, which was very good especially the Eier mit Speck

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel zur Malzmühle. The room was cozy, but I never hang out in my room. I use the room for sleeping and for showering. I loved my window that opened like a door
