The breakfast was plentiful and quite good. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but there are plenty of places to eat within a short walk. Some of the staff didn't speak English, but communication at the front desk was generally possible. A unique feature of the hotel is that you can drive right to your room.

We come to this hotel every year, and we can see the facilities in the room degrading. The were fine around 2016 to 2019, after covid lock down, when we were back in 2023, still good, and 2024, fine. Till this year, 2025, the toilet flush is half broke, shower head is not in good condition. Breakfast service is shrank, no more take away coffee cups.

This hotel is super close to my main office so I used. Firstly the mattress was horrible, I have stayed in many different hotels and never had this bad one. Plus towels and the bedding was provided only for single use. Even though I booked for one person I normally received double size so it was really comfortable, but I felt they optimised everything too much and missed the convenience.

Next time I book a hotel, I really need to check when it was last renovated. This place is so old, it smells musty, the sink was disgustingly dirty, and even the tissue box was broken. The hotel is very close to Düsseldorf train station, and the room was clean and spacious. However, for some reason, when I checked in, they didn't assign me a standard room. Instead, I got a special room with an extra bed that looked very much like a hospital room. I had to go back to the front desk and request a normal room again before they gave me one.
