Seafront Beach Hotel Apartments in Adelianos Kampos

1 star because of air-conditioning and food. Beware if you stay here during the hot summer! We arrived with 2 children quite late after a 10 hr journey, we wanted to sleep and as it was extremely hot, wanted to cool down in our rooms. However, when we opened the apartment door we were shocked. The room temperature must have been about 40deg C. Openi g windows did not help as te temperature at night was 27deg C. We turned on the small air-conditioning system located in the lounge/kitchen area, the bedrooms had no air conditioning. It was not efficient enough, so we had to move the 2 Single mattresses out of the children's room into the longe area, right next to the air-conditioning, so that we could sleep. I slept on the mattresses with the children, as te room with my husband was too hot. I would have died from heat exhaustion otherwise, literally. We did this every night as there was no option to allow the air conditioning to run, whilst out of te room. Now the food... very stale cake, and no fresh juices, only a strange artificial flavored orange juice and watery coffee. There was no change in the breakfast at all. Biscuits also tasted stale, as if ever thing offered was from the day before, or even a few days before. However, the pool was lovely, it was quiet, the location was convenient for shopping and good food in town. The premises was clean. We had a rented car so could do tours. But really, please do something about the air-conditioning, each room needs a ventilator or air-conditioning system!!!! Terrible place to stay, when summer temperatures are 37 to 43deg C! How we survived I don't know, I'm still recovering after 4 days back home. Our terrace door was also broken and would not close properly, so the caretaker of te hotel had to fix it, so that our apartment was atleast secure.

PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION.
Unfortunately we do not recommend this Hotel.
Both the conditions in the room and the food were at the limit of acceptance.
We were accommodated from 07.08.2019 until 14.08.2019 and we made a bad opinion.
We recommend the manager and his family to try to eat a whole week at the hotel and if he can survive then write a sincere comment.
If you want to have a happy holiday look for another location and read reviews from those who have stayed there.

The place is not like in photos.
First of all the food is horror. We spent a week there and in one week the food was the same in all days..
At dinner we didn’t receive any drink..not even a glass of water..and for the breakfast they gave us something that wanted to be called coffee (horrible) and juice worst quality..also I didn’t like the staff behavior.
Regarding the rooms..I have been in many hotels..and everywhere I was, I’ve found soup and shampoo in the bathroom, while at Seafront we didn’t find anything.
The beach wasn’t like in photos and the beach chairs were NOT for free..and the WIFI..the worst quality..only at the reception you can find some signal.

In conclusion I do not recommend Seafront hotel.

Visited as a family, with a 4 year old child and a 12 year old treated as an adult regarding payments for HB ; let me say first what is good - spacious and clean rooms though a bit outdated, ok staff and great donuts - that's it! Worst possible peace of BEACH for a "beach" htl/apt. along the coast from Rethymno going east; BREAKFAST - has their cook ever heard of anything but scrambled eggs??!!; and the SMELL😝- water for washing the sand off before entering the pool ( which is btw size of like for a Barbie dolls) and the hotel area smells like rotten eggs, or when traying to enjoy breakfast or dinner or coffee on the terrace it hits you with the breeze of wind, especially when it's hot ( which is always in July and August) - like from the sewage - and makes you wanna vomit!🤢
Regarding the playground - maybe to add an extra bulb just so that the kids don't stamble at the dark after dinner and can play a bit on those 2-3 evenings when parents are just not into going/taking them somewhere?!
So definitely we are not coming back to Seafront, nor Adelianos Kampos - there is nothing there to see or visit.
Maybe it would suit to someone who would use the location and the hotel as a base for further exploring the island, in self-catering manner, without crossing the line between sleeping facilities and restaurant terrace 😁
