This hotel is definitely not for those looking to rest: it’s very noisy, the street is busy, and the pool is across the street behind a bar, so we couldn’t really use it. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, but prices are high. You’ll also encounter street touts. Positives: the reception staff is extremely friendly. Minor downside: the fridge was making a terrible noise, so we had to switch it off.

I am a big believer in you get what you pay for. If I could give stars for staff then Angela who runs the bar/cafe would get five 🌟 she is such a credit to the place and a lovely lady. She was so friendly and easy to talk to and her dinks/food was spot on! The bar area was exceptional clean also. Maria was also nice and helpful. The apartment we had was very spacious and adequately clean, ground floor so spacious terrace too. The bathroom was a big let down and needs a thorough make over as does the kitchenette area! With a little love and tlc these apartments could be so much better. The pool area was ok although the pools were very cold. The location is superb. Just to the right of the the apartments is the Street Bar and I would highly recommend this place. The food everywhere was delicious. If it’s beauty and luxury you want then please avoid booking but if you can close your eyes to a few things and want somewhere cheap to stay then this is the place. All in all we had a good weeks holiday and will definitely return to Malia (but will choose a different hotel/apartment to stay in.). We could list things that need immediate improvement but are not going to, like I said it was a cheap break, and you get what you pay for!

I had such a great stay. Felt so safe and comfortable. Staff were lovely! Really made the place. Maria was great. Angela was so great she just made you feel so welcome around the pool bar gave such good recommendations for places to go especially to eat. Had such good chats and really looked after me thank you. Location is great you are right in the heart of Malia but its also a side step away so did not find in noisy but it was the end of the season. Old Town is great and so many lovely places to eat - recomend all the great Greek food! For the day prices at the pool bar are really reasonable and the food was good. Greek Salad would recomend for lunch. Rooms are basic but have all you need. More than comfotable. Staff go above and beyond if you need anything. There is a little supermarket just up the road if you need anything. I went with TUi and not sure I would go again with them as the transfer etc was not the best - basically dropped off in the middle of the night at the top of the road and said that way!

We stayed here for six nights, but it wasn't an experience I would want to repeat. First of all, the silence was non-existent: at 3-4 in the morning we could hear voices in the hallway, doors slamming, and constant noises that woke us up from our sleep. I don't know if it was the staff or other guests, but no measures were taken to maintain a minimum of silence. The conditions in the room were also not great — old furniture, thin walls, the bathroom was poor, and the general feeling was that the hotel needed a serious renovation. Overall, I don't recommend it if you need rest or a minimum of comfort. I'm sure you can find better options in the same area.

apartments were nice and clean, kitchen and bar area superb including the food. the staff were super friendly and lovely to deal with. sometimes can get noisy at night but hey, this is a party town. i would highly recommend this place.. i will return. Tim

Just wanted to pop a quick thank you to all the staff at Le Palme for a wonderful stay. Room 111 so quiet yet the hotel is right near the "strip" and we couldn't hear it. Le Palmer is also close to the beautiful old town of Malia with it's authentic tavernas and restaurants. We recommend San Giorgio's Restaurant. Receptionist Georgia, we love you!! Good luck for 5th September 💞. Check in was so smooth, very late (2am!!) but we were greeted by a lovely lad. Our room was clean and spacious, beds comfy, lovely terrace with olive tree views and afternoon or early evening sun. The pool over at Help Bar across the road, is absolutely great for a swim and lovely lady Poppy served the best drinks and was so friendly. Even though it was a short visit, we loved the whole experience of Malia and would definitely stay here again.

Great location but that is about all. Our room was like a prison cell, shower area was disgusting! And you would be very lucky if you had a hot shower in the morning also you could only use shower as hand held as no bracket! Stayed 11 days and only had 2 hot showers in all that time! Did complain but was told that because it was cloudy the day before the water tanks hadn't warmed the water HUH!! What an excuse. No wifi unless you sit by the pool Go cheap you certainly get what you pay for

We really liked the hotel. It was very clean, and daily cleaning was provided. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, which made it very convenient for preparing breakfast. The balcony was a nice place to hang out and have fun, but in the summer, due to the music noise, we don't think the first room will be very quiet. The hotel is very close to everything—there are pharmacies, markets, and anything you might need nearby. There is an extra charge for air conditioning, but this was already stated—we just didn’t notice it. The staff was very helpful and assisted us with a late check-in.

Le Palme is a real gem in Malia. Recently remodeled room was spacious, clean, and overlooking green space. Bed was comfortable with several pillows. As to location it is tucked away from the street, making it easy to work in quiet zone. Fast Wifi was big plus. Friendly and welcoming hosts provided great restaurant recommendations and nearby attraction advice. Great value lodging, highly recommended.
