Agrabella Hotel is such a gem in Hersonissos! The location is spot-on, just a short walk (2–3 minutes) to tavernas, supermarkets, the bus stop, and the beach, but tucked away in a quiet spot, away from the late night noise you usually get right by the sea

It’s a family-run business, and you can really feel the care. Anastasios, his wife and daughter, and the rest of the personnel are all incredibly kind and helpful, always ready with a smile or recommendations for what to see and do. The rooms suit all budgets, from simple studios to more luxurious apartments, and ours was kept very clean, towels replaced every couple of days (sometimes even daily!) and sheets changed twice a week

Breakfast was tasty and had a nice mix of local foods, hot dishes and sweets. Some guests complain it’s “the same every day” but in reality, it’s more of a Mediterranean spread of starters, and we enjoyed it. Only minor downside… don’t expect sea views unless you book the luxury top-floor rooms. But in exchange, you get peace and quiet at night, which is priceless!!

All in all, a warm, welcoming and very convenient place to stay. Highly recommend Agrabella Hotel if you want both comfort and local hospitality in Hersonissos. ✨🇬🇷

We had a wonderful stay at Agrabella Hotel in Hersonissos. The location is perfect, just 2–3 minutes to the sea, tavernas, shops, bus stops, and even the local aquarium (which we definitely recommend visiting), yet still quiet and peaceful at night. Unlike many hotels right by the beach road where music and crowds go on until late, this one is in a much calmer spot The hotel is family-run, and you feel that personal touch everywhere. Anastasios and his family were so kind, welcoming and always ready to help with anything, from practical tips to local recommendations. The rooms fit every budget, and cleanliness was excellent in our experience daily tidying, frequent towel changes, and fresh sheets twice a week Breakfast was good with plenty of choices, including local dishes, hot options, desserts, coffee and juices. Yes, some items repeat (like in most hotels), but the quality and variety were satisfying overall. The only thing to note is that most rooms don’t have sea views, except some of the top-floor apartments, but in return you enjoy peace and quiet during the night. Overall, a great balance of location, hospitality and value for money. Hersonissos itself is a lovely destination, and staying here made our trip even better. Would gladly come back! ☀️🏖️

It was a fantastic time. The rooms were very clean, and towels were changed every day, and bed linens every three days. The staff was incredibly nice, always friendly and personable. The beach is just five minutes away, and the town is right next door. Overall, I really enjoyed it and can highly recommend this hotel.

ROOMS: We arrived at the hotel at 2 am, we got the key from the receptionist, went into our room and got shocked.(for you to know we were 3, one under 18 and 2 adults) The “master bedroom” fit one double sized bed and a nightstand and me (the teenager) had a separate room, that felt like I was sleeping on the balcony. (the real balcony can only fit 1 table and 3 chairs, there are no clothe hangers). We had to sleep with the doors open, and my bed was positioned in a way where the neighbour could look at me when I was sleeping, with a perfect view as well. Also the rooms are designed to be extremely warm so you have to rent AC from them. We instantly went back to the receptionist to give us another room where we can all sleep in the same room. She apparently had no room available. Biggest lie I’ve ever heard because the next day when we called out trip company they managed to switch our room. It was better but still extremely small. The tv there was as big as a tablet. **ALSO THE SHOWER ONLY COMES FROM ABOVE YOUR HEAD, THERE IS NO MOOVEABLE PART**. WIFI ONLY WORKS IN LOUNGE ROOM, we had to use our data. Also some rooms don’t have windows.

Service: first night. At 4 am the staff punched our door to be quiet. We talked normally. Apparently you can’t even communicate past 11pm.
The guard “warmly” welcomed us with a flashlight in our eyes.
We got more bangs on our door during our holiday.

Food: it was decent. We went only one time but the time it was given was made intentionally 7-9:30 am. It’s a holiday, why do you have to get up so early.

Short: Just go to another hotel, not worth wasting your money on this. Maybe only if you go for free.

(Also I’m from Romania, so I’m sorry for any mistakes in my comment)

I had a lovely stay at Agrabella Hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including a nice view from the balcony. The staff were incredibly kind, always smiling, and happy to help with anything, they truly made me feel welcome.
The location is amazing, just a short walk from the beach, near restaurants and shops. The pool area was also clean and relaxing, perfect for cooling down in the afternoon.
For the price, it really exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a budget-friendly yet cozy place to stay in Hersonissos, I highly recommend Agrabella Hotel. I'd definitely come back!

When we first arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was very nice, she explained everything, I was already familiar with the AC fee before departure. Upon arriving at the room, my boyfriend and I were tired, but the AC worked as it pleased...Wi-Fi 0 points. I was using my data from my operator the whole time...We didn't get a remote control for the TV, and we weren't interested because it was so old and small that it didn't matter. The bed was uncomfortable and creaked with every movement. We didn't mind the location by the road at all, but noisy German tourists (I know German, I studied it for 8 years) constantly disturbed us after 11:00 PM with loud laughter, roaring...In the morning we found cigarette butts on the terrace, pieces of food and some pieces of packaging. I went to complain 3 times. Despite this, we didn't sleep for 6 out of 7 nights. We were looking forward to leaving the hotel in the morning and stayed out almost the whole day. The breakfast was terrible. The pastries were not fresh, the juices were diluted differently every day, I only tried the coffee once and only had one sip...Terrible!!! Running up the stairs, stomping, banging, screaming...But at night! You set the quiet time at 11 PM and it was a mess all those nights...We somehow suffered the rest of our stay. When the last morning at this hotel finally arrived, I was startled by the security guard because he was standing right in front of our terrace! Was he checking to see if we were really leaving? As soon as we left the room, the guard took our keys and said goodbye...I found it inappropriate and unprofessional!!! I have been to many hotels and many countries, but this was the worst accommodation. I don't recommend.

Pro: The best thing about it was the people working there, at the bar and the reception. Also the cleaning ladies were nice.

Con: The owner has an arrogant attitude. I asked for a pool bed in place of my normal bed because I was in pain every morning but I got the response that he has guests at the hotel and only if I bring it at 8 am back for the guests to use (I thought I was a guest to and offered to pay extra for them to bring the bed and let me use it). The mattresses on the beds are extremly poor (springs that you can feel through, seems old or just very poor quality, they can offer you a blanket that they usually put on top for the ones that complain so that tells me that they are aware of the quality provided). There is no ventilation system in the bathroom, only a hole that does not work. The TV is not smart and bad quality. The coffee tastes like instant coffee and not grinded coffee. I tried the breakfast in the first day but it had to much oil/butter and seemed a bit overcooked (the eggs) and a lot of pork and also they are not labeled (if you have alergies or try to avoid different chemicals or like me pork, I guess you have to ask about it) and the orange juice tastes like the pills with vitamins that you put in the water, my mom used to give me when I was a kid 😅.

I would give 1-2 star to the hotel but the people working there saved them 1 extra star.

As location, it's close to bus stop but there isn't anything interesting around there (unless you came to sit in a pub or restaurant all day).

We also had to pay 10€ extra per night but they do mention that on their website.

Friendly staff, clean room, nice pool, a lot of young people , you have luggage room to leave your luggage until your room is ready to check in, billiard table and a nice view from balcony. Really firendly manager that helps you with everything.

We just checked in yesterday evening and were warmly greeted at the lobby. After a long walk, we had a good night rest. Woke up feeling energized. So the beds have passed the test. They have a good basic assortment of basic food for a basic breakfast buffet. What a great place to stay! Price-quality ratio is good! You get what you pay for. I am looking forward to the rest of our stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay here, so please don't be put off by the negative reviews. So first of all, the staff are amazing. So so friendly and welcoming, an absolute credit to the hotel. We had booked the economy room but decided to upgrade - nothing free until the next morning (we arrived very late so not an issue). The economy room is small with a tiny balcony but for all accounts does the job. You need to pay extra for air conditioning with the economy too. We wanted a bit more space and the upgrade really isn't much more and includes air con and wi-fi. We got our upgrade the next morning and the new room was great - nice and spacious, extremely comfortable bed, nice sized balcony overlooking a little plaza area and tortoise enclosure (! So nice!). The TV doesn't have many channels but we weren't watching TV anyway. Bathroom a nice big size with actual bath. The water pressure in shower wasn't as good as some we have had before but it did the job. Nice big wardrobe to hang our clothes, plus an extra futon too. Nice size fridge. Food we found to be good. Yes, funnily enough there's a lot of Greek food on offer because Crete is a Greek island! The breakfast selection was good - some dried cereals, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses, pastries and varied selection of hot food that changed up every day - sausages, diff varieties of eggs, bacon, warm pastries, porridge and rice pudding a couple of mornings (yum). Plus coffee machine and fruit juice. Lunch and dinner was also good - no, the hot selection isn't huge but the dishes they had were nice. Fresh salads of diff varieties, pasta, fish, stew, Greek dishes, potatoes, pizza etc. desserts are only ice cream or fresh fruit, but we don't tend to eat much dessert. There's a huge and varied selection of places to eat right next to the hotel if you wanted something different too. All Inclusive drinks - typical local spirits, beer (really nice), wine (tried the red which was pretty nice). There's no cocktails on the All Inclusive but they do serve them and have lots of Happy Hour specials, 2 for 1 etc and they looked good. Reasonably priced. Fanta, cola etc included on All Inclusive too. There's a nice bar area next to the pool with a games area too - pool, table tennis, etc. big TV screen where they had the Euros football playing. The pool area isn't huge but was nice, the sun hits the top balcony part first and the beds opposite get the sun later in the day. We always got a bed but I would say the best spots get taken up quick and there's not loads of beds so might depend on how busy hotel is. You could always go to a local beach where's it's 5 euros for the full day and right at the sea - we did that a couple of times and it was lovely. Location wise - brilliant. You are a minutes walk away from the main street and 5 mins walk from the beach and beach ***** with lots of places to eat, pubs, shops. Hotel far enough back though that it's quiet. Hersonissos is a great place - would recommend Bar Sam
