Had such a lovely and relaxing experience getting a full body massage with my misses, both of us left like new people, had to give a shout out to bibi , Pavlos, Maria.

The High Beach Resort is a very well-maintained and visually appealing hotel complex. We arrived on April 2nd, 2026, the official start of the season. According to locals, the day before the hotel opened, Crete experienced an unprecedented weather phenomenon – a Saharan sandstorm that left unmistakable traces and completely undid the extensive cleaning work carried out beforehand at the hotel complex...

Staff were amazing. Everyone working there has been so kind and warm. Special shout out to Giorgio and Vasillios (forgive me if they’re not spelled right) for being the best bartenders and making my stay so much fun!

Very very nice Personal. They are all very friendly and helpfull. The location and area is very nice and we have absoluter nothing to complain about. Also the food and Variation is of a high Standard and quality

This hotel has everything you need for a great relaxing vacation. I especially enjoyed the spa. I had two massages there, and I’ve never been more relaxed thanks to Stefanos and Hosmik. I can only recommend you visit them during your stay at this hotel.

We spent 5 days in the Rethymno Palace as a couple, our teenage daughter and 4 of her friends. It's a nice hotel with indoor and outdoor pool and direct access to beach and sea. We booked a massage in the Spa with the very friendly spa manager Hasmik. I got a really relaxing massage from the masseur Stefanos who was able to give me advice for my back problem.

This is a real luxury hotel with an emphasis on food and drink. My only circumstances are bottled water is not free . No shower near main pool . Toilets not on same level as pool especially with children . -1 floor for indoor pool could potentially have a sauna /steam room to enhance the experience. Although the food choices are good. Our stay at Insula Alba Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful - the hotel is beautiful, relaxing, and truly perfect for a peaceful vacation. Pools were chilly, but it was near the end of the season so not surprising and because it is not a winter resort I don't expect outdoor pools to be heated. Multiple times my children were the only ones around and in the pool, even though the pools were abit chilly the children still loved them! The hotel is great. The furnishings are modern and very clean. There are loungers available for each room on the beach. The two restaurants are well run and the food is delicious and varied. Sometimes the beach bar right next door is a bit annoying. But no problem. The staff is super friendly.

The Bar was well packed, on the whole staff were ok. My only problem was, I booked a Massage/Spa, and the lady led me to believe she was going to give the massage, but she sent a man…., with no knowledge of who the masseuse was going to be…

Clean room and nice quiet room, all staff excellent and inviting, sea was warm, pools could have been warmer. The views from the property were very calming.

This is a very large complex which is set very close to the sea and within a 30 minute walk of Elounda town & Square. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept and the staff are friendly. This is a lovely hotel built in the style of a Greek village going down a hill to the sea. Our room was modern with a lovely sea view. The buffet breakfast and evening buffet meal in the main restaurant were very good as were the other restaurants. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to make out stay enjoyable.

A fabulous view across the bay this hotel did not disappoint. Great accommodation and we upgraded to the room with a private pool, well worth it. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choice the alternative restaurants where an affordable treat with an extensive wine list offering both local and regional mainland options. I can recommend this hotel to friends and family.
