Atlantica Caldera Palace - All Inclusive in Hersonissos

We had great holidays in Crete. The Service was friendly, especially Giorgos from the Lobby bar, he was absolutely nice. Every evening he brought us excellent drinks and was always so nice and friendly! The cats in the Hotel also were very friendly and nice! 🐱
The Jacuzzi was not heated, unfortunately, even though they said so. But the "private beach" was very nice.
The rooms were nice with a nice view on the sea, but were not cleaned every day.
Our day trip to Santorini was very well organised by the Hotel!
The gym has definitely seen some better days 😜.

Amazing hotel in a great location. Beautiful and clean, nothing too much trouble. The staff were really helpful and the rooms well equipped with everything you need. All inclusive includes a fridge of drinks which are refilled each day including fizzy drinks, water and beer. Sunbeds were a little difficult to get around adult pools mid-September but not a major issue. There was a wide range of foods and eateries too. Beach just opposite the hotel which was very convenient and a nice little pub over the road too.

Certainly lives up to its 5* rating. Thoroughly clean & cleanliness maintained in all aspects of the complex.
Hotel rooms spotlessly clean. Excellent quality bed linen & bathroom towels.
Great variety of professionally presented entertainment provided in the evening.
Dining was a luxury experience throughout our holiday.
Choice of meals & options was 5*.
All food was presented impeccably, freshly prepared, presented & cooked.
High standard of food presented was maintained throughout holiday.
All staff were welcoming, very friendly & professional. In particular main restaurant staff were exceptionally excellent in their customer service at all meal times.
All in all, I can only recommend this hotel complex too highly, 5* all the way!

Thoroughly enjoyed a week here in mid-October. Great food options and some fun on-site activities.

Pools were chilly, but it was near the end of the season so not surprising and because it is not a winter resort I don't expect outdoor pools to be heated.

All staff we encountered were really helpful.

Would come again for another relaxing week to do not a lot.

Not quite a five star hotel. Needs some improvements. Pools are freezing and some tiles are missing.
Alcohol selection poor.
Cushions on bed had stains need cleaning.

Having just returned from a really enjoyable ten days away with my partner and toddler, I would happily recommend the hotel and its location: it was clean, comfortable, and given its proximity to Heraklion (and its airport), you don't have to feel constrained to the resort unless you wish to. Analipsi itself is a pleasant enough town/village with a couple of really good restaurants and the odd shop/bar to watch sport. We also found the service really prompt and friendly during meal times etc.

What I liked:
- The buffet food was generally good, particularly when it stuck to Greek/Mediterranean food, particularly for lunch/dinner. The Italian a la carte restaurant was also very good, the pizza in particular.
- Different bar areas for different moods/times, with the 'Guru' Bar being a nice place for a solo nightcap or two once my child was asleep.
- The splash pool for toddlers was good.
- The beach is pleasant, and we never struggled with sun loungers, though I've no idea whether this was partly due to it being low(er) season.
- The childcare (Baby Club) was fantastic, nursery-quality and a bargain for the price involved.
- Separate family-friendly and adults-only spaces worked well given the size of the resort.

Beyond some things that would be different in an ideal world but weren't really a problem (the pools could be cold on the cooler days at end of September, and the seating by entertainment isn't covered from weather), the one obvious thing that could be done to enhance the offer is the play park behind the splash pool: it is not suitable for younger children, and I'd encourage Atlantica/Wavermaker to look at some kind of retro-fit this to make it suitable for a wider range of ages as it's only really suitable for those approaching pre-teens given the height of it.

Very nice and posh hotel. But we arrive late so missed dinner, and they left us a couple of sandwiches in the room and some sweets. We ordered a picnic for a day out and didn't have any actual food on it. Only rice cakes and nut hars. We requested a late checkout and it wasn't recorded. They put the request day before and was confirmed. Paid 150 euros (missing 2 meals we could have been offered a discount). We went to bedroom after lunch and card wasn't working because they didn't update in reception the late checkout request. I have to givev4 stars because food was amazing and 3 restaurants included. Daily activities not announce, not much offered. We had to contact social relations manager to get information, but not very helpful at that point.

Amazing stay at this resort- the swim up room was a definite must have! The food and staff were also amazing!
