The best apartments in Stalis! We have stayed with George at Lia Sofia a number of times now and keep returning. It feels like a home from home. Apartments are spotlessly clean, in a quiet area just off of the beach road. It’s in an ideal location for exploring Stalis. It has a welcoming family environment that keeps us returning each year.

The rooms are basic nothing fancy, best rooms are the one bedroom apts. they are large. As for self catering not much for cooking no microwave only 2 ring hot plate frying pan and 2 pots a fridge and some utensils plus an electric kettle. Hotel staff are friendly. Food is delicious and I can't wait to come again! The hotel is also 5 minutes from the beach. The only thing that I can comply is on the loud street noice that comes from the outside, late at night and on earling morning hours.

A very cozy, home-like place. The hotel grounds are beautifully green, filled with pleasantly fragrant roses, and feature two-story sections. The rooms are very clean and quite spacious, with lovely little balconies where you can enjoy delicious Greek wine in the evenings. Ours had a mountain view. This is an excellent 3* hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere. The bedding towels changed everyday. The rooms are perfect ,clean and Greek. The food was very good and something for everyone. As previous reviews have stated, there are many more positives than negatives with this hotel. First the negatives, the single room I was in was clean, but in need of a general update; there was also a safety issue where the gap between the end of the bed and the wall where the TV was fixed, was so narrow that you had to crane your neck to avoid a collision. Pool was dirty with old sun tan oil - very orange and greasy above water line, plus black mould on the grout lines - yuk! Complained to pool manager, who shrugged his shoulders, said it was cleaned at 7am! Pointed this out to night manager who promptly passed to hotel manager. Pool partially cleaned next morning but mould still on grout of pool tiles. Hence we never used the pool! Otherwise lovely...

Receptionist went well beyond what was required of her to correct a booking error. If the hotel manager reads this, the lady in question, I did not get her name, deserves promotion. Hotel facilities are at least the standard of a good 4 star hotel

Here's my honest review. The location is fantastic. A couple of lovely beaches in walking distance and in easy walking distance to countless bars,restauranrs and shops. Agios Nikolaos is a very laid back and chilled resort and the hotel has the same feel. The staff are fantastic, very friendly people and very accommodating. Right in old town. Taxi stand right across the street to get to the airport.

You can't beat Olympic for the location, nor for the price. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was fine. Olympic has a pleasant terrace on the top floor, where you can sit and read and watch the planes take off from the nearby HER airport. My only complaint was that the smallness of the bathroom meant no towel racks, only a couple of hooks behind the door.

Really nice hotel, we only stayed one night but had wished we stayed longer. We booked day of and check in was very fast and efficient. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were nice. Elevator to carry luggage up and down. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options and fresh food.

Nice hotel, clean and a good breakfast. Website is not up to date, the balcony I was shown held a plastic and no room for much else. Also there is no rooftop patio which is noted on the site

Below average The nice lobby is deceiving. The rooms are very old and mine was very dark (the only windows faced a skylight well). Decently clean but I found a hair in the jam at breakfast (I guess that it can happen but it is the first time that it happens to me, in the more than 30 years in which I have been travelling). It will not be my choice at my next visit at Crete University.

The hotel entrance is not easy to find, but the island itself is not big, and it is very convenient to go anywhere in the city. You can find the entrance by asking. It is very cost-effective and the transportation is also very convenient.
