Candia Hotel in Chania Town

We made an excellent choice with Candia Hotel during our stay in Chania. First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to one of the owners, Geir, for answering our 1am arrival call upon missing a connection and being 10 hours late. Thank you for making our night!
In fact the entirety of staff was extremely helpful, extra nice and genuine. Many compliments to Maria, at reception (and everywhere else really), who always took care of us with a smile. She made our stay feel special, due to her kindness, approachability, sense of humor, and all around helpfulness.
We stayed at the Penthouse double room. The views of Chania were spectacular, especially the beach with its wave sounds.
Candia is at a perfect location - 2 minutes walk to Nea Chora Beach, the promenade and restaurants. You can also take about a 10 min walk to Old Chania, shops, or 15 min to the city center. One may also take a bus nearby, if more beach exploration is desired.
Breakfast offers a good selection, and you can have eggs made-to-order. We usually had it in the pretty garden of the property.

We had a great time, and would not hesitate to visit again.

Candia Hotel is the perfect choice if you want to stay close to the heart of Chania, yet enjoy peace and comfort. The location is excellent – just a short walk from the Old Town and the Venetian Harbor, but also quiet enough for a relaxing night’s sleep. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-kept, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hospitality is truly warm and welcoming – the staff are always ready to help with tips, directions, or just a friendly smile. Great value for money, ideal both for couples and solo travelers. If you’re planning to explore Chania, Candia Hotel is definitely a place you’ll want to stay. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Great Place with Great Staff
The room was 4th floor, seaside view. There were two rooms, a kitchenette, and A/C. It was clean and looked good. Beds wwre comfortable. The staff was wonderful. The items available at the desk were a lifesaver - pool and beach items, water, beer, snacks, etc.

The location is perfect - close to the main area but without the all night noise. You can get to the historic port easily and quicky walking long the ocean walk. The restaurants nearby are excellent.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, and Old Town. Our flight was in the late afternoon, and the staff kindly accommodated us by storing our luggage and even offering a private room to shower before we left. Dimitra at reception was especially helpful, and it was lovely to be greeted by her warm, friendly smile each day.

Super happy experience, caring and friendly stuff. A total Greek hospitality. The rooms and the hotel are so clean and they are offering to clean your room everyday. 50 meters to the beach and the lovely restaurants. The old city is 10 min by walk. Super recommended!!!

Another good week at Candia Hotel. From the moment we entered the doorsteps, we have enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a helpful and welcoming staff, it is clean and well maintained. The location near Nea Hora beach and restaurands and short walking distance to Chania Old Town, makes the hotel a perfect place to stay.

We chose the Candia Hotel primarily because of the location and we are totally happy. Not even 2 min to the beach, 10 min to the old city and all you need is just around the corner.

The staff is gorgeous and fulfills all the wishes they can within their possibilities. Also they are always up for a nice chat and have great tips at hand for tours and destinations around the island.

The hotel itself delivers what you expect from a 1-* category, rooms are fairly clean and all functions well. The breakfast is decent and there is something for everyone to find. The omelet is great! 😉

We would certainly come back once we come to Chania again!

Very nice family hotel a few footsteps from Nea Hora beach. The staff make you feel really welcome. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The roof gardens connected to the penthouse appartements has a fantastic view and definately a place to enjoy the sunset. Good and fresh breakfeast.

A lovely week at the end of summer season in Chania. We has been welcomed by the plesant and helpful staff at Candia hotel. Very good bed and beautyful view from our nice Penthouse room. The staff will make you fresh omelettes for breakfeast - definately worth trying👍 Will be back same time next year if not sooner🥰
