The room had everything we needed, comfortable bed, balcony, powerful shower, sofa and kitchenette. Beds were made up everyday. Everyone was friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcome. Would definitely go back again

Great, spacious room and beautifully decorated !!! The facilities surpassed our expectations, especially the jacuzzi, which gave a nice twist of luxury to our stay! Nice price/quality ratio, for a room located in walking distance from both the old harbor and the city center

We had a large sea view terrace with outdoor furniture ideal for having breakfast. Warm welcome and little attentions (bottle of wine), coffee machine available and lots of useful information

The reception doesn't look that nice but honestly the room is. Everything's clean, there's a jacuzzi, a big Italian shower, AC, free coffee at disposal at the entrance of the room. I really don't know what's missing

The location cannot be beat, right in the heart of the harbour and steps from everything. We had a "city view" patio and it still had a great view of the mountains and town of Chania (and sunrise)

The rest of the staff was great too of course! ;) Big plus is they do the utmost so you can park your rental car in the narrow dead end street as parking anywhere else in the old town is a struggle

They told us which beaches to visit and where to eat, and every recommendation was perfect. Whatever we needed, they were quick to help🙌🏻 If you’re staying in Chania, don’t miss this place

Housekeeping came every day, changed the towels, and restocked water and coffee pods without us asking. The staff and owner were amazing, friendly, helpful, and full of great advice

Plus, each floor has a public patio overlooking the harbor, so even if you don't have a harbor view room, a beautiful view is just a few steps down the hall

It is well located outside just outside center city overlooking the sea, with easy access to everything in the area, while avoiding the hustle bustle of the central toursit area

Exceptional Villa with the most amazing view! The rooms are spacious and very clean! The Villa keeps the traditional style and is well kept. The outdoor pool and garden are great with plenty of shade

Our room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was very good - we chose to have it on the balcony facing the sea, a great way to start the day! The ladies serving breakfast were so friendly and accommodating

Charming mansion, great location about 15 minute walk to old Chania along the ocean boardwalk. Lovely full breakfast on the outdoor patio overlooking the sea

The staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly ; the ladies that keep the house clean and serve our breakfast are the heart and soul of the villa! The breakfast includes homemade jams and Cretan traditional food that was delicious

Also the windows trap much of the noise from streets outside but some noise did carry through into room - didn’t affect us too much too. Couple extra water + coffee would have been appreciated

I happily use the Elia hotel chain when visiting Chania. Great staff, very helpful receptionists, excellent breakfast, facilities that exceed your expectations. Overall, the service is absolutely exceptional

Budget hotel in the elia hotel family. Very good value for the money. A largish room, clean, great bed, air conditioning, fridge, and all the toiletries a good hotel provides (dental, shaving, shower kits)

However, the window couldn't close completely shut, and there was a lot of noise from the many restaurants nearby. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel!

This hotel only has 7 rooms and Eleutheria and the ladies who prestar this hotel were amazing! Be advised that there is no parking around this hotel as it's in the pedestrian district of Old Town Chania so do your research about parking beforehand! Also, there is no elevator so I would advise not taking a large suitcase (as I did)

If the world was not so big, with so much to see, we would love to go back to Chania for a stay at this hotel every year. If you are searching for a hotel in Chania, quit, and book a room at the Palazzo di Pietro

No words can describe the hospitality of the owner, Eleutheria. The hotel was absolutely spotless, right in the middle of the old town with restaurants, shops and everything in between

The kitchenette had everything you need to make a light meal. The room was spacious and very clean. The room had AC which was surprising! Excellent location for exploring Chania

I really felt like I was staying in someone's home here and I can't recommend this hotel enough! We rented a car but it stayed parked the whole time as everything is walkable

Picture 1 shows someone else's real sea view B&B blocked in front of the hotel. After checking in at the front desk, a middle-aged woman came to greet me. She was the worst person in the whole process

It was already noon when we arrived in Chania. I was really looking forward to checking into the most expensive hotel on this trip. The room picture looked directly at the sea

Great spot ! Would recommend Super sweet staff and reception (very knowledgeable and always willing to help with any request) ! The included breakfast is spectacular and has a lot of choices to pick from the night before ! The highlight was however the impeccable view of all of Chania from our room and sunset ! Very glad we stayed there on our honey moon !

This hotel was perfect on all aspects, the room was amazing, big very clean and well equipped. The view from the balcony and the swimming pool was brilliant! I really enjoyed the spa and the interior pool as well

The restaurant of the hotel was perfect too, the food was really good. But most importantly, the staff of the hotel was highly professional and the nicest people! All of them were very good to us and treated us so well

We spend two special night here. The rooms were well designed, the breakfast was superb, and the service was flawless. Was also very nice to have our own private pool with a view out over the city and lighthouse

Some rooms are a nice size with a Seaview. When you turn on the bathroom light at night the entire room lights up. Also, you have to walk with suitcases to the city gate across cobble stones

This place is amazing to stay at. The views are priceless, the location to everything is convenient, the staff goes above & beyond to make sure you have everything you need and your stay is exceptional

We booked some trips and found not having to drive added to the relaxing nature of the trip. Staff on reception were lovely and came up with some good suggestions for dinner. Breakfast was fine in the restaurant below

We are sure we interacted with all of the reception staff and they were all warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfast was at a restaurant around the corner

One tip: there are steps at the hotel entrance. If you will need help with your luggage, call reception-they will gladly assist you

The hotel was new, clean and at a very good location 5-10 mins walk from the old harbour. The hotel had magnificent views overlooking the sea of sunrise and sunset from the infinity pool at the roof

Breakfast was fine and all of the staff were so friendly anf helpful. The staff also went above and beyond to assist me and make calls for me when I had issues with my booked tour

It's not a very big hotel, with six or seven floors and four or five rooms on each floor. The room faces the sea, the view is great, and I fall asleep every night listening to the sound of the waves

Excellent stay. The staff is very helpful and full of recommandations. The view from the room is very beautiful as the pool on the roof top. Rooms are clean. Large breakfast choice with local dishes.

SanSal and the employees provides exceptional service. The rooms and the view where clean and modern. The food at the pool bar was very reasonable and tasty. I will definitely be back to this hotel.

However the most impressive part is the staff, they are all lovely and willing to do anything for you. The hospitality is some of the best I’ve come across and I’ve stayed in many nice hotels all over the world

We had an amazing time staying 4 nights at Domus Renier. Georgia and Sandi at the front desk were extremely helpful and very fun to interact with daily. They went above and beyond and made our trip feel extra special

They offered helpful local tips, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Whether it was preparing a delicious breakfast or recommending a hidden gem nearby, they always had our comfort in mind

The owners and staff were incredibly warm, (Georgia, Sandy, Maria to name some) welcoming, and genuinely caring by the end of our stay, it felt like we were part of the family. The hospitality was heartfelt and personal

The staff kept the rooms clean and their breakfast every morning was outstanding. The staff were smiling always and the architecture of the room (secreto) was worth every penny.

Definitely a value for money choice. Beware of the stairs which could be a problem if you are travelling with infants or having movement difficulties. The stairs are however a part of the Chania architecture!

Walking distance to everywhere The staff was really nice, and the service was great with a special and tasty welcome treat! The rooms were very clean and new, while very respectful to the Cretan architecture

A sumptuous breakfast was served in beautiful, spacious semi-basement room. Coffee was served to our individual taste, and the buffet in included fresh orange juice, cooked items, fruit, yoghurt, fresh cakes and pastries

The hotel is one minute walking from the harbour but still in a very quiet area. The rooms are big and confortable with a nice bathroom. The cherry on the top of the cake was the staff, all very friendly

There are 10 rooms: one on the first floor, three on the second floor and six on the third floor. Two of these are "maisonettes", one of which was ours (it was all that was available when we booked!)

The staff (all female) were friendly and helpful, treating us as if we were friends who had come to stay in their home. The only negative, for some people, would be the access and the steps

Had a lovely stay at Alcanea in the off season, it’s a great location in Chania Old Town. Kyriaki couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive with any requests I had for things to do or organising taxis etc

Alcanea Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem in Chania! Eva was exceptional, checking in on us when our flight was delayed, providing us with detailed recommendations of restaurants and beaches then following up with us on our return

We had a wonderful stay for five days in November. We felt like we were at home not in a hotel. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the lighthouse. The hotel’s location is perfect in the old town

The location was incredible and the interior and exterior of the 500 year old building provided for such a unique experience. Despite it being an older historical building the rooms were updated with great amenities

Absolutely lovely place beautifully situated at the beginning of the harbor. The rooms are very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location is wonderful and the cafe is delightful

I stayed here for an entire week and everything was perfect! Niki, who was taking care of the hotel during my stay, was the most adorable host! She was always super kind and helpful! Also, the room was always super clean, free water in the fridge, and had everything you needed! The view of the sea and being able to listen to the waves in the morning and evening was the best :)

Very cozy and the view was powerful! My room faced the bay. The crashing of the waves set the mood. The facility was clean, excellent and in the best location

This area has suffered historically but is definitely in the process of changing and modernising - worth visiting and enjoying its authenticity before it becomes too commercialised and popular

The hotel is beautiful, with stunning views from the rooftop and rooms. It’s in a great location to explore the Old Town and is only a 15 minute walk to a lovely beach. The staff were friendly and the room was spotless

Very good cleaner and very responsive owner. Room we stayed was standard, met our needs, slightly small. Had 2 double beds on split level and hot tub with sunbeds and table area on roof

I also needed laundry and George helped make it happen while we were out enjoying Crete! Important to note that the apartments require climbing some flights of stairs so pack light! If not, George is there to help with your luggage

Absolutely stunning place,suites are very beautiful,very comfortable bed,very clean. Very highly recommended to stay there,truly worthed. Breakfast are included at the restaurant. Portions are so big not even funny

Great modern well located boutique hotel. Georges is great answering all our questions. The breakfast restaurant across is remarkable. Room is big, with a balcony, fantastic shower. Highly recommended

There were robes and slippers, mood lighting - whatever you want. The shower is spacious, with warm water and good pressure. The vanity is large enough for two women to get ready. Plenty of hooks for hanging things

Our key card didn't work, so we had to have her come back and fix that for us but it was easy. TALL hand painted ceilings, tall windows, a large bed, armoir, fridge, safe, desk, and large bathroom

We were two women staying for just one night. We parked closeby and walked to Greco hotel and were received by Anna. The check in was easy and she walked us over to the Boutique hotel

The bed was large and comfortable and its so nice to look up at the beautiful ceiling. The lobby of the hotel is also very cute. Its got a little bar, a lounge and a gallery

HOWEVER! The front door SLAMS shut - as its an old wooden door with no special mechanics. So the entire room would shake whenever someone went in our out

The staff upgraded us to a room with a view for no extra charge (thank you!!). This was the most beautiful room we stayed in during our time in Greece

There are two nice swimming pools. From the upper pool there is a beautiful view of Chania and the sea. The property is close to the beach and has free parking. The apartments are cleaned every day

That would be my only complaint where as I was looking for somewhere quiet outside of the main area. The staff was wonderful, 2 nice pools, and premises was very clean and well maintained. The wild cats could be annoying

They tend to run into the apt when you open the door

For children, they can be a nice attraction, but for people allergic to cat hair, this may be a problem. The bathroom is also very small. It is difficult to open the bathroom door and the shower cabin at the same time

The space around the pools is not very large, so it feels like there are too few sunbeds compared to the number of guests. Another disadvantage is the noise from the nearby outdoor sports swimming pool

During the day and until late evening, there are training sessions and competitions with many children and parents. You can constantly hear shouting and whistles
