We had a lovely stay at Heronissos! The team there was incredibly welcoming and organized, ensuring everything felt easy from the moment we checked in. It's the little things that count, and the staff's willingness to help really stood out. To top it off, the food was excellent. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

We visited Crete in September and our stay at this hotel was the best. Thank you all for giving us unique experiences and we will be back soon.

We stayed at the end of September and had an amazing stay. We would highly recommend this hotel – it’s beautiful, spotless, and very well kept, offering a genuine 4-star holiday experience. The sunbeds come with tables and umbrellas, and there are plenty of lovely seating areas around the pool to relax. The staff work incredibly hard to keep the whole resort immaculate. Everything is always clean and tidy, and all the staff are so friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Stayed in September 2025. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Food is awful, drinks are very limited and not great, declined the room upgrade on arrival, then seen the room we were offered which was in another building opposite and the room was very basic, hard beds, very dated decor, broken toilet seat so paid the extra 190 euro for the upgrade. Upgraded room was better. The hotel wasn't very clean, most of the people in the hotel were ill and of course germs spread like wild fire. Reception staff were rude and trying to rip people off. Great place in terms of location but would never stay in this hotel again, if I could give a zero I would!!

I had an interesting stay here… the hotel itself is central to everything this area has to offer, however we got unlucky and it heavily rained 5 days of our holiday, so most of it was spent in this hotel, unfortunately if the weather is not great the hotel doesn’t offer a lot of activities other than a pool or bar. The bar tender was lovely and very kind however they did seem understaffed as the que would build quickly and due to only being able to take one drink a time it didn’t seem to go down. We had all inclusive and to be honest the food was not great and barely warm. I understand if the weather was better then most people would’ve used the town’s amenities (but this area doesn’t offer a lot, I would not stay in this part again) however if you get unlucky with the weather you wouldn’t want to be stuck here. Also the ceiling collapsed on our last day and people took advantage of the free bar which I guess was lucky.

There are a couple of positives about this “4 stars” hotel; and they are location for the surrounding amenities and some really picturesque views. When we arrived in the afternoon we got to reception and was greeted by Dimitris, he seemed polite enough, informed us that he had one upgrade room that he had retained for our arrival which at the time we though that this was a lovely gesture, he said that to upgrade the room it would be €100 euros, we were happy to do so and assumed that we could pay via card but he said that it would be cash only, Dimitris then informed us of the €70 tax which also had to be paid in cash, then informed us of where a cash machine was. So within the first few minutes we had paid €170 euros on top of the original booking. Was informed of where our room was and wavered the €20 for the safety deposit box. Got to the room which was allocated on the ground floor which opened out to the outdoor pool that had two sun loungers, very clean and modern room. (which sounds like a positive but it’s fleeting) Made the most of the sun and had a couple of drinks in the sun and grabbed a ice lollipop from the fridge to be told that they were not part of the all inclusive despite no notice that these would be an additional fee which was fine, headed back to the room to unpack and headed to the restaurant for some dinner. Very very small restaurant and very limited buffet even though the photos on love holidays etc are incredibly misleading. Only alcohol served in the restaurant is beer and wine…which is fine, but not a great deal of choice for those who drink neither. The next day (and over the course of the week) we were made privy that the kind gesture from Dimitris in regard to the room upgrade is something that happens to almost every guest that stay there (especially learning this information from Tripadvisor) I reached out to love holidays and was informed that I had to wait until I returned from holiday (which I fully intend to do now I’m home) to make a complaint, thankfully I have a whole lot more to add to the complaint… due to the limited selection of food available we ate out most nights as I could make restaurant staff privy to my very serious nut allergy (I suffer with anaphylaxis) on Monday evening we attended the restaurant at the hotel for dinner, again very very limited food options I decided to give dinner a miss as I didn’t want to risk eating something I shouldn’t, I went to reception and was greeted by the assistant manager Daniella, I voiced my concerns and she reassured me that if I grabbed one of the restaurant staff they would ensure to cater to my dietary needs or at least offer some help in regards to what the food contained. She took a note of my name and room number and I left feeling quite pleased. However Wednesday evening I attended the restaurant again for dinner, I was disappointed to see that the “buffet” was fairly repetitive to the previous days of making use of the restaurant, I noticed that the c

The check was confusing. You are met with the question pertaining to whether you require an upgrade. The hotel tax was another story. We declined tge upgrade until we viewed our room. The room was fine we could see the sea from our room. Mosquitos was a big issue. Second day was woken up to an earthquake couple of days later a sand storm. First time experiencing both. Location very close to the sea and the *****. Be prepared to be hassled to go into the bars. Great excursion to olive farm, not enough time spent there. Worth the money. Great perfumery close by.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The mattresses are terrible.Like sleeping on the floor.I've spend my last 4 days in terrible back pain because of the poor sleep and left with pain. We booked an economy room for 2 weeks all inclusive and upon arrival they've said that due to some technical problems it is not available and we can spend the night in a "superior" room. The next day they've asked for 300 euro to upgrade to that kind of room or "free upgrade" to standard room. This is a trick other reviewers were talking about. The superior room was smaller than the standard one by the way.Again,THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL. Both the superior and the standard rooms we staid in have problems with the drainage (check my photos) Absolutely terrible! If you shower the water will come out from the drain next to the toilet which is supposed to collect excess water not giving it back.If you use the sink and the water stream is too much for the drainage is even worse. We had to put towels on the floor every day.Like expected, poor choice of drinks on all inclusive and off course watered down. After our first week of stay they've ran out of raki and the bartender said that the manager will not get more anytime soon. The breakfast is the english style type which is not to my taste but you have a choice of cold meats and cheeses and pastries, yoghurt etc The lunch and dinner choices are decent and we could always find something to eat. No themed food days, no barbeque or the traditional gyros wrap for the duration of our 14 night stay. Not enough fish or seafood dishes for a 4 star hotel and considering that we are on an island. in my opinion. The dessert is terrible for a hotel that claims 4 stars. Sponge cakes with different types of flavours and cookies everyday. There is this restaurant boss which is arrogant and acts like he is the center of the universe. The rest of the staff are polite and hardworking including the two bartenders. We had two sleepless nights because of a mad english woman was fighting with her man, screaming, shouting and slamming things in the room on purpose to wake everyone up.I went to the reception and the guy there was a bit upset that i disturbed him: We know about it but can't call the police tonight l,maybe tomorrow if they continue. So we had the second sleepless night as well. Terrible! There is no pool table, table tennis or a game room or anything like this, again "4 star hotel"! We didn't used the pool but like you expect, most of the sunbeds have towels on them before breakfast time even if the hotel rules say otherwise. Entertainment is very poor. I think we had something in 3 nights on our 2 weeks stay (DJ/traditional dance crew). We will return to Crete but definitely will not come back at this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, bathroom new and modern, room rather simple. Ours didn't have a balcony, and due to the design (extremely low windowsill), we couldn't reach the window or the curtains. There were long hairs from previous guests on the decorative pillows.
The staff in the restaurant and at the bar were very friendly and attentive. The gentleman at the reception was a bit grumpy.
The pool area was very modern and beautifully designed. However, loungers were always reserved by other guests early in the morning, so it was almost impossible to get one unless you reserved one yourself early. The staff didn't clear the towels.
The guests were mostly young English people who use the hotel as a party hotel and spend the whole day lounging by the pool.
The food selection was good, the buffet was kept very clean, and the staff were quick to clear and clean the tables.
Overall, we liked it; the value for money was okay. However, if you prefer a quieter and more relaxed environment, you'd be better off elsewhere.
