Great location, chilled atmosphere as we visited in end of March early April)Easter holiday. So only half of the bars and facilities were open. This didn’t affect us too much. Waterpark was open but sling shot ride closed. Separate go karts next door which is open till 11pm 20 euros each. Teenage boys enjoyed this. Football court is good size, felt very safe in this hotel and was happy to let 12 and 14 year olds to go off and play. Food is lovely a good selection but a little cold hence 4 star. Staff very friendly. Beds and rooms are nice they have shampoo shower gel and moisturiser but no conditioner. Spa was lovely had a massage experience for 80 euros, well worth the money. Weather hasn’t been great but was expecting it. Just make sure you have a few warm outfits for day and evening. Entertainment was ok mainly bingo which u pay 5 euros a go. Karaoke and a live pirate performance. Again low season so no entertainment at main bar. Pools are freezing but clean. Beach is lovely, sand and big rocks to walk on. No watersports at this time. Did a safari club jeep experience which was highlight of the holiday. Rooms a little noisy when people are coming back from bar but nothing too crazy. Fab time would recommend for families. Lots of parks for young children. Walked into town about 10 mins not many things open but enough to keep us entertained.

The food is excellent and the selection is amazing! The area can be a bit windy since it’s up north, but there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy – lots of pools, fun water slides, kids’ corners, playgrounds, and more. The whole resort is quite spacious and access to everything is included in the price, even the sunbeds on the beach. It’s truly a paradise for children.

Snacks outside of breakfast, lunch, and dinner are fantastic as well. You can choose from fresh vegetables, fruit salads, or classics like pizza and toasties – even vegetarians will be happy. The alcohol is not cheap quality either; they serve well-known brands like Havana Club and Beefeater. And at the bar, they’ll make you a real coffee, not just one from a machine.

We (parents with 3 kids, age 9, 6 and 3) had a great autumn holiday during this last week of October. Great facilities, slow pace, great weather and lots of fun for the kids: playgrounds, pools, different waterslides, soccer field, kids activities, free ice cream and slushes (as well as a gokartplace nextdoor). As parents with picky kids, we really liked the lunch and dinner buffets, but we also visited the snack bars frequently. You could easily walk between your hotelroom, the different pools, the snack bars and the ocean. The pools where not heated, but hey, where from Sweden, so we’ll bathe anyway… The ocean temperature was maybe two degrees warmer with a sandy beach. This was the first flight and holiday abroad for my kids, and we would love to visit you again. I even had the time to read the book I’ve packed… Thank you, hope to visit you again! Amazing half term holiday in October 2025. I highly recommend The Star Beach Village Hotel, we’ve had a super relaxing week. From the restaurants to the pool bars and the cleanliness of our rooms we couldn’t fault the hotel. We even celebrated a birthday which the hotel staff insisted on making a cake. It’s the little touches that make a BIG difference. The only thing that I’d mention to anyone visiting is if you find stairs hard, make sure that you make that clear when booking, as there are no lifts to the rooms. We will definitely be back, the hotel have literally thought of everything. Oh and the waterpark is an added bonus!

Large hotel, unfortunately I didn't get the room as advertised. It was more dated and in the middle of the hustle and bustle, even though I'd requested a quiet room. The air conditioning hadn't been cleaned in ages, was covered in dust, yellow with dirt, and very noisy. The bed was very comfortable.

The food is very good, with plenty of choices at both the dinner and breakfast buffets. I was too late to check in for lunch, so I can't comment. Lots of pools, beautiful beach.

The spa is wonderful. I booked the scrub massage and armpit waxing. Perfect!

The staff is very friendly; nothing is too much trouble. I would especially like to thank George for the lovely evening and the excellent service.

Bus stop number 24, in front of the car rental company, is on your left from the entrance. A bus to Heraklion and other places runs every 20 minutes.
The center of Hersonissos is a 10-minute walk.

We are On our last day at this hotel. Last 13 days have been great.
Rooms are excellent, and cleaned every day.
Lots of choice of food and drink. Places to eat all over the complex.
Pools are a little cold, but everyone loved the new water slides.
The entertainment team Jayden etc are a great laugh well worth getting involved with some of the activities.
Overall fantastic holiday.

We had the BEST time here, especially with Eli, Jayden and Pia!!!!! We veryyyy enjoyed the water park and the food in the dining room and in the “asian star” restaurant. The shows in the evenings were amazing, we enjoyed every second of them!

Super kind staff , from the reception to kitchen and chef and su chef. The check in was a very good experience, we came to the hotel at the morning before the rooms was ready , there is a changing room for clothes and showers at the lobby to be able to use the hotel facilities from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. Our son has a gluten allergy (celiac) , we notified the kitchen stuff , they made sure that every meal had gluten free products and if needed spaecialy made gluten free food for him. The family room is very clean and has comfortable beds and air conditioning. There are several pools and water slides for kids , since we came in October there were no queues which was awesome . Since this is a village and it is big place , it is mostly walking around from pool to pool or bar so keep it mind. For kids activities besides pools and slides , there are dry playgrounds and games for chillier days. Overall we are VERY HAPPY that we came to Star Beach and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Had a week here in late September 2025. Can’t fault the hotel and water park! Rooms were always cleaned every day and beds made. The whole hotel complex was always clean and always staff buzzing around keeping it all neat and tidy for the guests. Staff were always helpful and friendly and the Entertainment team were amazing! Big shout out to Jayden & Eli, always there with smiles on their faces, talking to all the guests and making the kids holidays even better. The food was unreal……always changing, fresh salads and freshly cooked meats and fish, and amazing desserts. Cold drinks, help yourself beer and a great cocktail list from the bars. The water park was brilliant fun for our kids and us, we all loved the slides and they are building more which looks great! Just a short stroll to the town with bars, shops and restaurants. The go kart track next door to the hotel was a big hit too, kids loved it (so did I!) We stayed in Apollo block which was great for families as it’s just further enough away from the night music for the kids to crash out after the long fun days we had but only a few mins walk to the main pool and bar. Honestly couldn’t fault this place and had the best week. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making it a great holiday!!
