Where to stay in Hersonissos

Upon arrival I was 'upgraded' to a more quite room in the back, since I was staying for two weeks. Unfortunately there were a lot of dogs around the property, so every time you opened the door to get some air in after 6pm, dogs on both sides would go off in a barking contest. First of all, the staff is amazing, they welcome you with a welcoming smile and provide excellent service. Lovely apartments 10 mins walk up the hill to the villages. 20 mins to beach and lively area. Pool clean. We walked down hill to spar hyper market for water ect. Basic cooking area. Family holiday, 4 generations, absolutely fantastic week. Clean, comfortable accommodation with beautiful views of gardens, mountains & sea. Love this place. Great, clean, well kept apartments set in lovely grounds. Pool area lovely with plenty of sunbeds. Nice shaded bar area run by Yannis and Sylvia who are very welcoming. 10 minute walk up hill to Koutouloufari and Piskopiano, with fab restaurants and bars. 20 minute walk to Hersonissos front for a livelier night. Can't fault it 2nd visit in 2 years.

Great location, you can get the sea view on the upper floor. Christina working there is a delightful woman. Parking is available in front. The owner is also very responsive and kind. It is pet friendly, cute little pool, spotless apartments. Good showers with glass and not a plastic curtain. We had a great time there… and super quiet.

A wonderful experience..only stayed 1 night in room 9 ...would of happily stayed for 14 nights as the well equipped 2 bed duplex with 2 bathrooms is completely as described..a true gem of a place ..lovely pool area ,a short flat walk to the village and beach ..if one is looking for self catering accommodation in this area looks no further .😎

The central location means 24/7 noise from the club next door. Noise from 10:00 a.m. during the day until the evening, and especially at full volume all night. Sleep is only possible with earplugs. Cretan Garden is situated away from the beaches. If you want to go to a good beach and enjoy Crete, you will need to rent a car, because you will find them at 30 min.-1 h away from the hotel. The rooms were dirty. They cleaned our rooms only in the first 3 days. After that, they took only the trash and changed the towels (every 2 days, not daily). They did not clean the floor or change the bed sheets...

We stayed at the hotel next door and we were only having breakfast at Voula, but I have to praise the hospitality of the staff. They even lent their baby chair for our room for free during our whole stay, even though we did not stay there. The breakfast was also very good.

What a lovely little hotel this is. The studio we had was huge and so very bright and spotlessly clean with a huge balcony. The owners are so nice and can’t do enough for you. The location on the sea front is superb and everything is in walking distance to the hotel. We walked up to Koutouloufari one night too and that only took us half an hour. I will definitely return.

The hotel is just a 3minute walk from Hersonissos downtown! The stuff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The room was decent, clean and the food is average but a significant value for money! On the bright side, the road of the premises is quiet and peaceful during the night!

We were placed on the second floor and absolutely loved the view from the balcony. We spent most of our room time there just watching the world go by enjoying a nice cold Greek beer. This accomodation is very stylish and high level like the owner. I didn't like the long explication by the employee that you have to make a phonecall to her even in the limited opening reception hours.

Stayed at Villa Sonia for middle two weeks in June. Lovely accommodation everything you could want with Lovely sunrise views,right by the sea. Such lovely welcoming staff. Cleaning and towel change every other day. Nice quite location but if you want hussle and buzzle it's less than 5mins walk away. Would definitely stay again
