Cretan Garden Adults only Hotel 16plus in Hersonissos

Cretan Garden Hotel is a wonderful quiet place owned by a very warm and welcoming family. Both the accommodation space and the bar and restaurant offer exceptional services maintained by wonderful and helpful people. The rooms are large, welcoming, clean and permanently maintained. The food offered is of high quality, it satisfies any taste in my opinion and the prices at the bar are slightly higher than the prices in the stores. I spent seven days in this oasis and all I can say now is that I will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place!

Thank you for a wonderful stay! This place is heaven on earth, beautiful views and refreshing air, we fell in love with Crete. But we fell even more in love with Cretan Garden Hotel! From the very beginning we felt at home there. Comfortable accommodation, beautiful views from the hotel balcony, an atmosphere of love, friendship and care. The staff is lovely, nice and always smiling. They will always help and advise, and you can count on long and interesting conversations with the staff and hotel guests. We are leaving here with a baggage of unforgettable experiences and new acquaintances, to which we want to return as soon as possible, to be able to relax in this wonderful place and cultivate newly established relationships! A good family-run resort, clean, breakfast and dinner buffet, drinks at a reasonable price, Anna Maria always available as well as all the staff. On the various sites that offer the resort it often appears with a private beach 300 meters away, but it is a translator's error. The beaches are ten minutes away, with sunbeds and umbrellas and also a free beach. For those who love other beautiful beaches you need a car and the island is very large to reach a beautiful beach from where the resort is located it can take almost 4 hours.

Wow. Where to start? On arrival which was 1am. We were greeted with a very friendly smile. Shown to our room which was bigger than expected and very clean. We also got given some food in the bar which was a lovly touch. We stayed here for a week. Very quiet. lovely members of staff. Mostly are family and has come from the Grandparents who still come every day to help and maintain the gardens. The food was good, not a huge range but all very trantional dishs that were delicious. The drinks are a good price and always a service with a smile. The pool is a good size. Never a fight for a sunbed. There is a local shop 2 minutes walk away and the beach is about a 5 minute walk. Also you can walk into the local big town of Limenas which is about 25/30 minutes. Little hilly but we did this twice. We are pretty fit and walk a lot. We spoke a lot with the family and always went above and beyond to helps us where they could. From the both us I would like the say thank you for an amazing week away. Family hotel in the middle of larger complexes. It is best to have a car, otherwise you have to enjoy walking in warm weather. A small supermarket next door as well as several car rental and tour agencies; few restaurants nearby (3). Very friendly staff overall. Available for information, car rental or excursions. Clean and spacious room, towels changed every 2 days, bed linen changed midweek (which is appreciated). The room was equipped with a fridge. Large shower in the room with toilet, sink in the room. Well-maintained pool, sufficient number of deckchairs during our stay. No entertainment but we were looking for a quiet hotel, so satisfied. Mainly German-speaking clientele, the staff speaks German, English and Italian. The downside is the quality of the catering: pleasant dining room but the food is not at all up to standard: poor quality, quantity on some items (fruit in particular). Fortunately we were on half-board. Cretan evening on Sunday evening, but again, disappointment (0 entertainment, lasagna and smoked sausages served...). We are still satisfied with our stay because of the price paid, but if it had been more expensive, the value for money would not have been as good. To take into account if you are considering this hotel: if for you good food is imperative for a totally successful stay, choose another hotel. We enjoyed our stay in general, but we do not plan to return. I give 4 / 5 because 3 = average which would be unfair. But I specify that it is GOOD but not VERY GOOD.

The hotel is a family business, so right away you feel welcome and the owners are very hospitable. The rooms have various sizes. We asked for a room with sea view and that is what we got, second floor (top), not large, but enough. The services were very good: clean sheets, clean towels, air conditioning, good water pressure (ladies, you might want to take shower caps with you, because there are only fixed shower heads in the bathrooms). The food was good, you could buy water from the hotel for a symbolic price. There is a supermarket two minutes away, a wonderful restaurant up the hill (5 minutes away) and the beach is 5 minutes away. I recommend it. Good quality-price range.

Small and cozy hotel 🏨 we had a spacious room with a sea view 🩵 there was a fridge and air conditioner, room was cleaned everyday. The only thing was that shower is not very comfortable to use as it is stuck to the ceiling. Hotel staff was very friendly ☺️ we had late check in at 3 am and still were warmly welcomed and even asked if we were hungry 🙂 breakfast and dinner was tasty and some of the dishes were even home made, the variety was not too big but it is ok for 3 stars ⭐️ hotel. We recommend to rent a car in order to travel around as the most interesting bars and beautiful beaches are a bit far to be reached from the hotel by foot and the bus is very rare to find there.
