Hotels with pool in Crete

The food was excellent, the facilities in the spa and gym were first rate (Petros was very helpful and supportive, and the masseuse was top class) and the bar staff looked after you at the pool side in a every way possible

We choose a more expensive room with its own private swimming pool (more of a plunge pool) with separate sleeping and living area. The room was clean and daily cleaned to a high standard

If you do not like the music at the main pool, you can use the other (quiet) pool or the beach loungers further from the pool bar. We enjoyed the pool bar service (e

There ws an excellent selection of food both for breakfast and dinner (we did not try the lunch). There was a bar by one of the swimming pools which only sold drinks - adding some food choices would have been nice

We were also extremely lucky with the weather: 22° water and 26° air temperature in the first week of November; so we did not do a lot of sightseeing, but rather enjoyed the snorkeling, swimming, fitness courses and yoga lessons

There were two TVs but with limited programme choice. However, the wifi was good so we used our tablet and a HDMI cable which we had brought with us. There was a coffee machine which we also used to boil water for tea

There are 2 pools and even though there are signs everywhere saying you cannot reserve loungers some people chose to ignore this and staff didn't remove their towels

We never had a problem getting a lounger though on our side of the hotel, the beach side pool was always over crowded with no free loungers. You have to pay for sun loungers on the beach though

The food was just acceptable , not always to our taste but they have guests from all over the world so have to cater for all tastes even though some seemed like odd choices. The food wasnt very warm though

The local area did not have any bars open with music or entertainment either so we played yahtzee whilst sat in the bar. There are 2 tvs in the rooms but no English channels so no good for us to watch

I’ve visited this resort twice now and it’s great. Lovely staff, nice apartments (especially sea view apartments) and is located right on the beach with two pools. Lots of food options nearby as well as in the resort

We had a room on the 4th floor accross the road from the beach but had a nice sea view. The room was large and we had a fridge, kettle and cooking facilities even though we were all inclusive

Andreas the bar man is fantastic always welcoming in fairness all the staff are but he stood out from the rest. Loads of pools to chose from we had a swim up room and hardly used it because the sea is so calm

This was our 2nd visit and we were welcomed like family ,everything was beyond expectation ,amazing accomodation, staff who more than go the extra mile ,food is outstanding, choice was fabulous , absolutely nothing to fault

Whilst there my mother in law slipped (yes they came on honeymoon only because we brought our wedding day forward a year 😂) the hotel was great with sorting doctors and getting her seen quickly staff were very attentive

We will definitely be returning. If it’s pure relaxation you want this is the place. A bus stops right outside hotel to go into Chania takes about 40mins

There are a few shops bars and restaurants near the hotel 10-15min walk is a big supermarket

we are about to book again for next year

The food is first class and truly a great buffet - lots of homemade and homegrown food. The drinks are below average in price with a cocktail being around €11. A good bottle of wine around €20

The village is a brisk 10min walk along the seashore , passing lots of taverners, but well worth the walk. Hire of a car is essential too. We used Anna Cars from Heraklion - no hidden EXTRAS and fab people

Also a free A La Carte dinner at Tomatini the on-site restaurant. Also a voucher is handed to you for a free lunch - this is any salad and two main courses for two people - anything you want

Whilst here we were the ONLY English - which made for quiet socialising in the eve as everyone was German. Quiet a few kids , but they were generally well behaved

There are several pools in the hotel and also private pools in some of the rooms, so there is always an oasis nearby if one wants to cool down

This is one of the best places to locally - if not the best. A great welcome with local iced tea, homemade biscuits and a cool flannel

The staff apart from the rude reception lady were so nice and friendly, Stavros the barman was a top man, he made our stay and evenings, very friendly, a funny guy! Maria was also a lovely lady, kind and helpful, Teddy who ran the animation team did a very good job, from beach activities to evening entertainment including, music nites, kareoke and bingo! The beach is just across a fairly busy toad...

Beautiful hotel almost on the beach. Very clean rooms, perfect service. We prefer adult friendly hotels, so this hotel is the right match

Staff at this hotel made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Fruit plater in room and Bottle of wine. Dorian n the restaurant was fantastic nothing too much bother. Always smiling and so good at her job

Apparently the balcony room wasn’t on our voucher and is extra which wasn’t stated, anyhow they moved us to a side view room with a balcony, which was much nicer, thats all we wanted

We seriously thought we had made a mistake booking this hotel, we got to receptionist at 9am only to be told the manager wasn’t there until 11am, so we returned

The walk to leapetra is about 10-15 minutes, easy walk, you can cut through to the promenade which is pleasant through to the bars and restaurants

The pool is small, but it is really okay. The problem is that some guests put towels so early and they are not even there to swim! The pool is for everyone who wants to swim, but many can't swim, for example, children

Some complaints about it, and management didn't do anything about it. Maybe they can at least put some rules that no reservations in the pool, no leaving of towels when the person is not there

Anyway, the food was great, the best delicious food from breakfast to dinner! I hope they can change the pool rules soon. Thanks for our great holiday season!

The pool is really small for the hotel size and the beach is at 7-10 minutes away, walking. Being a Greek beach, is stone-ish and steep, so is important to note that is not an golf with tranquil water

Personnel are very friendly, our room is clean. It has space in between, like two single beds together, and it's moving all the time. My child's bed is just a folding bed. I expected to be at least bed sofa-bed

I have never experienced such a good food offering in a hotel before and could not find a single item that I disliked. I definitely plan on coming back and fully recommend it

There is also a grassy place to sit and hear the sea and relax on sunbeds. The lady at the pool bar was lovely, Athena I think her name was and the other lady in the restaurant Georgia was real nice

well we just got back from a week here and what do I have to say about Maritimo Beach Hotel wow we love sissi the people are so nice and the hotel is great very nice rooms we had a downstairs garden view room up by the smaller pool room 608 spotless every day and the rest of tge hotel too never saw anything dirty the staff omg so nice there is a lady that works there I saw her in the restaurant on...

Great hotel. Rooms are fantastic and very nice pool. Very quite, for a relaxed time. There are very nice restaurants in the area and is nice for a walk

The food at breakfast was varied and nice quality, food at the pool bar was traditional greek food and consistently was prepared fresh and served to a high standard

You can watch the small boats come in. The hotel has 2 pools, one has the pool bar with big selection of food and drinks, plenty of places to sit, the other pool is nice too and quiet for a relax

There were two pools, one quieter than the other which meant you could have some quiet time by the poolside but also be amongst the pool bar, families and people socialising if you wanted

After two wonderful stays in 2025, we've already booked for 2026. We can't wait to return to this resort. For us, it's one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean (…and we've stayed at many others)

Food was very diversified - everybody could find something delicious to eat. Beautiful place with well-kept gardens and swimming pools. I'd a lovely, bright and big apartment with impressing view

A very very special hotel, with special staff and very special facilities. The food is exceptional, the drinks options fantastic and the upgrades in report for 2026 are total quality

There was multiple activities provided by the entertainment team daily for example aqua bikes, aqua gym and lots of ball games. The entertainment team spoke multiple languages such as French, Spanish and English

Hotel is immaculate, beautiful pool, easy access to the beach, food in the Waves beach bar was amazing and huge portion sizes, short €2 bus journey to Chania port. Highly recommend this hotel

If you get the old rooms, you hear everything your neighbours are doing. And they should renovate the bathroom. But it was always cleaned very thoroughly. Besides that everything was top notch

This is a pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are adequate but tired. There are not enough sun beds by the pool areas for everyone. The beach sun beds are €5 per day per bed

Everything we needed was within walking distance....The convenience was a very important quality for us plus staff at hotel utmost helpful. I will definitely come back yo hotel and area

The vacation here was really nice. The hotel employees are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was extraordinary. The only remark I have are the rooms

The hotel they sent us to was run-down and dirty – black mould on the walls, cracked tiles, and generally in a poor state. We were so upset and couldn’t believe this is where we were expected to stay for half our holiday

The woman on reception was rude, dismissive, and showed no care for our situation at all. She didn’t offer any solutions or alternatives within the hotel and just said we’d have to go to another hotel they had arranged

We got to the hotel just after midnight, having received an email confirming our booking, only to be told there was a “problem” with our room and we couldn’t stay

We originally chose this hotel because it seemed quiet and relaxing – exactly what we were looking for on our first holiday together (we’re 18 and 19)

I asked about the new hotel – what it was like, how many stars – and she told us it was 5-star. It was a 4-star hotel, and definitely not a good one

The taxi she booked was supposed to be a 5-minute journey, but it took around 15, and the driver didn’t speak any English

In my room there was only ONE free plug. I suggest bringing those things you plug in that actually have more sockets. There is no gym and the beach is very close

The staff doesn't seem familiar with the restaurant's rules. We had drinks included (1/4 wine and 1/2 water per person), and there were no problems with the water, but we had to ask for the promised 1/4 wine

Well located not far from the marina and the city center, this hotel seems to be surviving. The rooms are clean and the bedding is comfortable. In the bathroom, a tiny bathtub doubles as a shower

Using the shower inevitably floods the area around the bathtub. The plumber clearly has shares in a silicone factory, given the quantity used in this small room

A well run hotel just round the corner from the beach and marina with nice restaurant and 1st floor pool. the bar area a little dark but promise of update this winter will improve that I hope

The holiday at Theo hotel was great! The hotel is in a good location and the food is good. The pool area is really good and the staff is really friendly. I will definitely come here again! ❤️

As good as it gets for every reason you can think of. This was our second year in a row as a family visiting Theo hotel and we have never been back to the same place more than once until now

Hotel Theo perched above Agia Marina is a great resort to explore the N. A stylish, well presented apartment with panoramic views out to sea. A lift took you down to beach level

Location is a big part of why we went back as it’s close enough to the beach and bars and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet

Patio area is the main walk way to other rooms - no privacy. Pool area really good, not supposed to be able to reserve a sunbed, but by breakfast there were plenty of towels out and mist beds gone

The staff are excellent and polite always happy to see you and help with anything. The rooms were very clean and tidy with excellent views all round

Stayed here twice bit pricey but well worth it, has a fantastic swimming pool and has easy access to the beach, also has sunbeds to hire

We stayed at this hotel for a week and everything was great. The room was cleaned daily, the food was good, and the location was fantastic, right by the sea

Great little find , adults only hotel , rooms are bungalow style, so no noise above or below spotlessly clean , beds very comfortable , all facilities are fantastic , restaurant great selection of food , never went without a meal, there are options of board to to suit everyone, 2 pool areas, they don't have an animation team it is literally a quiet chilled hotel ,the bar in the evening was located...

Returned for my birthday and had a great holiday. Arrived about 11-00pm and check in was excellent. We were directed to the pool bar where we received a cold plate buffet for our evening meal, this was excellent

Pool area is very quiet and doesnt really get much sun in the day time until later, I only spent my first day around the pool and was alone most of the time, the rest of the time I went to the beach or excursions

It does mention that towels are only cleaned once every 2 days, but in a 7 day-stay, I think my bedding was only changed twice, so the cleaning schedule is a bit sporadic

Special shout outs to Genti the barman, who was really funny; friendly and helpful, Elli and Yannis at reception, and the waiting staff at breakfast and dinner all lovely, friendly and helpful as I was travelling solo

We stayed in this hotel for 7 days in July of 2024. Here is a short recap and a recommendation: -location: 3 minutes walking distance to the main street, 5 minutes from first beach, still always so quite and peaceful

Otherwise, the rooms are always very clean. The location is ideal, the walk to the shopping street is very short, and the beach is just behind it. You can reach everything on foot, but we didn't experience any noise

I went across to the reception, and someone came over to fix it right away! They had also saved me some light salad/ cheeses/ meats as it was past the dinner time, which I thought was really nice

The only thing that we could complain about was the pool area - the pool itself is stunning and overlooks the golf course BUT there are too few loungers and too few towels!!! So we arrived on one occasion to nowhere to sit and nothing to dry ourselves with - not ideal, one family with little children were all sat on one lounger! The pool area is not manned in any way so once the towels are gone they...

There were only a few people and we extended until 2 p.m. because of golf at 10:20 a.m. and we were charged a day use at €30, not very commercial, plus no rate on the Green Fée as a hotel guest... golf hotel not great

The room is very luxurious and spacious. The food was delicious and overall a great place to stay after a round of golf! I would reccommend staying here when playing golf or just if you look for some time to relax!

Staff went above and beyond our expectations! Lovely, friendly and helpful people. Once again, thank you guys! Hope we can come back in September. Hotel is quiet, classy and very comfortable. Highly recommended it.

The hotel was absolutely superb, we were there for a 3 night stay at the end of a weeks villa holiday and it was perfect. Rooms were massive, food was excellent, staff were so friendly and helpful

The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The view during breakfast was breathtaking, like something out of a painting

We had a fantastic time at Kydon Hotel! It’s definitely one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at so far. The location is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained

View from upper floor of the old city is stunning. Located just 5min walk from the old port which offers many restaurants and tourists shops. Very nice breakfast with many options. Valet parking is a big plus.

She is amazing at everything she does. I really appreciate her welcoming attitude. I have never been more welcomed at any other location. Being an outsider I really appreciate being involved in her day to day

The food and service are the best! Especially Rena, who works the bar. She makes the best drinks, always has a beautiful smile to greet everyone with, and willing to be helpful to those of us not from Crete.

This is our third time there, after twice in 2012+2013, and now again in 2025! What can I say - it was such a wise choice to return! Everything that made it a magical paradise in the past has stayed the same, and on top of that, some things were even upgraded (the new pool and renovated eating area are beautiful)

Perfect accomodation, very clean and spacious, also the furniture is very modern and new. The best is the private outdoor area with a private pool. There is a fence around this area, for a maximum of privacy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff in particular Mike and Babis were so welcoming and looked after us in the restaurant. The villas are well equipped and the private pools a really good size

Nothing was too much bother for the staff. Genuinely happy staff that cared about their customers visiting. We look forward to returning to this hotel/resort

Staff is extremely helpful and willing to make your state a nice experience. Food varies and also Greek specialities are prepared. Amazing views from the rooms and swimming pool

Water in the pools is filtered all the time and the guys playing the music know their businesses. Chillout after lunch and live music after dinner. Very kind and smiling you the guests

We stayed for 10 nights and had a great time. Fantastic service with all the staff being friendly and helpful. Pool was really clean and nice. Very close to supermarkets, restaurants and specialty the beach

Great outdoor pool, clean and neat, friendly staff. Food is very good, with Maxim restaurant at the street level and has a very nice terrace

Cosy and relatively small, Castro is located on a five minute walk from Ammoudara Beach and has a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus comes every 30 minutes so it take 20 minutes max to Heraklion city center

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok

Also located very close to the airport, so transfer is quick and easy via bus, shuttle or taxi. There is a rent a car next to the hotel for those willing to cruise along the beaches of the island

The hotel and the staff were very professional and always positive. They were very kind and welcoming. What’s a bit annoying are the showers, which are quite narrow, but overall, I recommend it

The food at the restaurant is decently priced and tasted great, the staff were super helpful and can organise taxi's to the airport or port

The rooms are well priced and larger, which makes things easier for a longer stay

It was nicely centrally located and not overcrowded. The restaurant next door is highly recommended, offering a variety of dishes; you even get a discount if you're a hotel guest

) Furthermore, the hotel had an open-air bar downstairs, making it impossible for guests to get some rest before midnight. None of this was what guests wanted

The Olive Green Hotel is a clean, friendly and helpful place to stay, in a great location in the middle of the best parts of Heraklion

This meant I had to pack and check out after one night, then check in, and then go back to the front desk after 2 PM to get a key card for the other room
