The location is perfect if you're seeking a decent sand beach free from the omnipresent paid or hotel reserved sunbeds, town proximity, yet avoiding the loudest sources of music and shows, this is a great compromise

Our own hotel were very mean and we had to check out at the morning while the transfer left at night! So this hotel let us pay for only a lunch buffet and then we could spend the whole day by this pool, but things and eat the buffet

The service was great, the personalle was helpufull and nice, we had good and quality food, with options for every taste. The location, outstanding, right on the beach. It was also very clean, towels were changed daily

We stayed for one week and it was really nice. The furniture is a bit old, it's true, but it was no problem at all

Astir plainly offers what you pay for. The facility has seen its better days, but that's pretty much its only/main con

Owner aggressively arguing with staff by the pool cafe as soon as we arrived which we found horrendous and very unprofessional as paying customers don’t want to hear this whilst on their holidays to relax ,hotel very basic 3 star

It's a clean hotel, but not a 4 star hotel. They clean the rooms every day, the yard îs clean, situated at the beach (but You Have to pay for sunbeds and umbrella, even If You have payed for allinclusive)

Signs should be put up notifying payment for where to payfor sun beds around the hotel and pool area. Not just some women turn up asking for money

We are here with my sister it is nice the staff friendly the rooms are clean and the food is good (B&B) the location is excellent near to kalamaki to aigos sostis and the main laganas road the price was not so expensive we spend 8 days here and i offer to everybody

The hotel staff are so friendly. We had a very comfortable stay. There isn’t much choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. However there are plenty of restaurants near by and the locals are so welcoming

The food îs good but simple, almost the same every day. There are not spectacles or music the evenings. A hotel for old peoples, very quiet

I think the negative reviews are very unfair and clearly wrote by picky people that look for fault in everything! The only negative i can find is the issue with wasps in the eating areas, they are a nuisance but none of us have been stung and they were never in our rooms , they're at the beach too, not just the hotel

We had a lovely relaxing 4 week stay in Sept/Oct and nothing was going to stop that come rain, storms and earth tremor!🫢 Staff are so friendly and hard working and the chef and his team produced excellent, mainly Greek cuisine😋😋😋😋, if you a meat and two veg person this hotel is not for you

We came to this hotel on 23/10/25 from good old yorkshire in England, it has been a brilliant experience, the beach is gorgeous and right by the hotel, the hotel is run very well, it's clean, spacious and the food is amazing with a wide variety of choice, the staff work so hard here

The lovely receptionist suggested we put our bags in our room, unpack after lunch. The food was wonderful! Ample choices for breakfast and lunch. Every day, the evening meal was a different theme

As others have mentioned, the showers are a bit of an issue - it's more a wet room, with unfortunate drainage. Room cleaned every day by a cleaning team who always had a smile

There were lots of wasps around the property (couldn't properly enjoy the pool and outdoor spaces). We were there in October, not sure if this is common for other seasons

The pool and the restaurant terrace have this wonderful view and the ocean side rooms and suites as well. The restaurant has great food for me, the menu changes by day so it never got be bored

Nice Hotel four star hotel, there is a toilet and shower by the outside pool but when I went to use it was told it isn’t open at the moment so they told me I had to go downstairs and use the toilet by reception, found the waiting on Staff very pleasant but my only complaint is had a liquor priced at €7 but on check out charged me €10 when I mentioned this to the receptionist her reply was I don’t make...

The room we stayed in is definitely in need of a proper renovation, however it was clean. The pool only opens at 11 for some reason and it's not heated

Basic rooms but personally you don’t spend much time in your room, the bathroom could do with a revamp. From the balcony we could see the sea and the mountains and it was a sun trap in the mornings

Is it a 4 star? No, I haven’t been to Greece before so can’t compare but in my opinion it’s a 3 but when you understand the Greek government, you know why it’s still a 4

Just home yesterday after a great 8 nights stay at Zakantha beach

It is a pretty good hotel that can be booked in the off-season. The room is not too big, there is free parking, it faces the sea, it is not far from the port and the airport, and the breakfast is also rich.

The hotel was amazing, honestly the best vacation we ever had! The room was very well equipped and maintained- also very clean. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable providing us with great service

stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a great experience. First of all, it’s located in the city center, which is very convenient. The price is very reasonable for Zakynthos Island

Just over the road from a pebbly beach but there are two points on the way into town where you can access the sea for those that like a swim

We had a fabulous 7-night stay in August and couldn’t fault a thing. Our shower had a small issue on the first evening, but this was resolved immediately by maintenance staff

The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and only minutes from the many restaurants, bars and shops on the main Tsilivi strip. We would definitely stay here again!

The White Olive Hotel Cameo is a hotel to which we will definitely return. It satisfies all needs, but its main positive is the kindness and helpfulness of the employees and the hotel manager

Excellent staff, possibly the best service we’ve received at any hotel. First all inclusive we’ve been to where you don’t have to wear a wristband. Spotlessly clean and ideal location. Food was wonderful and varied

Wow - this hotel lives up to all the recent positive reviews! The staff are outstanding, from staying up late to welcome us and then waving us off, Mr Spiros (the owner) referred to the hotel as our home and it certainly felt that way

Hotel as clean, the beds were so comfortable. We had a swim up pool room first week and then a first floor bedroom at the back of the hotel where you get the sun in the afternoon and quieter in the evening

Doe's the job if you are just purely on holiday to party. I went with 11 other lads for the 18/30's. Basic room, cheap eating area and a good sized pool to chill around whilst recovering from the night before.

Very comfortable bed great balcony looking out onto a great pool area. The pool area and pool bar was great. Really friendly staff kept clean. (Only little downfall was pool area lots of shade areas but no major problem)

Only thing to mention is there are quite a few shaded spots around the pool, so in peak season it might be harder to grab a sunny lounger — but we had no problems in June

I have to say I was very apprehensive before our holiday to Argassi,as a first time visit Greece. I must say what a great holiday my wife and I had. Made extra special by this fantastic hotel Contessa hotel

Firstly on arrival greated by very friendly polite and courteous reception staff. Looking around the hotel whilst being checked in, first impression spotless. On entering our room 325 spotlessly clean

Breakfast was excellent - so much choice and a wonderful view from the breakfast room across the bay! Loved the pool area, sun loungers, and snack bar, and can highly recommend the club sandwich 👌The guys running the bar were awesome, nothing was ever too much trouble 😀 Our package included the use of the fridge and we added on the safe and borrowed a kettle and cups for our room

Its clean and cute. The room are clean. The pool is good the water very good in summer. In morning the food is good and tasy. On the terrace you can see the harbor. I recommend this hotel. ☺??

Everything is good in the hotel and the location is perfect. But the shower setting is quite low and shower area is small. During the showering, one hand is needed to hold the shower head.

The receptionists were helpful and enthusiastic when we asked for a taxi to the airport after checking out. Would highly recommend this hotel!

A wonderful location! Everything was perfect: the friendliness of the staff, the location of the hotel in a quiet area with a gorgeous garden, the excellent pool, cleanliness, the air-conditioned rooms, the varied breakfast and dinner

The Porto Azzuro beach with fine sand is nearby. We had a beautiful and relaxing holiday!

If you wish to visit Zakynthos I highly recommend to stay at this hotel. It is in a very quiet area,our room had balcony with view to the sea,the hotel has an outdoor pool and the water is very clean

Third, the food is delicious (saw some hateful comments towards this aspect) but both the breakfast & dinner you'll always find something to eat and on dinner they always cook something out of beef/chicken/pork/seafood & some vegetables + feta cheese + always they have something sweet, the only negative aspect on dinner would be the wasps that are annoying but that's something that's quite common around...

Second the rooms might not be big or anything fancy, but they're clean & the AC is absolutely the best (it doesn't turn the room into a refrigerator and makes it too cold, it's just makes it the best for sleeping during night or naps during torrid days) + the view is gorgeous to see the mountains & half the sea

First, we've been greeted by a very kind receptionist lady, that was beyond polite to assist us with any kind of questions regarding the hotel/area/beaches & everything + recommendations and the overall staff is very kind & polite

clean, spacious and in a perfect location ( close to the poolbar and main road) Not so great: They do not change your towels daily (you have to asked them for more clean ones) Drinks are very bad quality! Customer service was very good!

it is a family resort with lots to do for kids but not so much for couples! We loved the private pool. drinks are not good but the food is ok for an all inclusive resort. Best point: it is 30 minutes walk to St

Also, although there is acres of space around the pools and weird not pool, pool area, there is a very limited number of sunloungers

Nicholas and Banana Beach (amazing beaches)! it is close to lovely restaurants if you fancy something different. In general our room was very good

Great little beach at the bottom. Although a big hotel (or rather one fair sized one attached to 2 others) it is pretty remote, so ideal for a relaxing holiday. Staff are all incredible, friendly, and helpful

On top of this, even though the have a "in the interest of fairness, belongings left for more than 45 minutes will be removed from loungers" it is not policed and the staff do nothing when challenged

Other than that, the room is fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Another drawback is the Wi-Fi connection: it’s quite weak and only really works properly near the pool or the restaurant

We arrived mid afternoon and were told our rooms weren't ready, so hit the bar! We were then escorted to our room by Patricia. It was a ground level room with a private bathing area and sunbeds outside

The manager, Spiros, went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. The receptionist was always so kind and helpful, and every staff member we met was friendly and professional

The food served there is delicious too! Breakfast was varied. Nice coffee and Greek yoghurt but you could also have eggs and bacon etc… The pool is clean and there are plenty of beds

We stayed for 8 nights bed and breakfast and enjoyed a varied choice of food every day. The beach area was poor, small with little sand but the sea was lovely

A big mention to George at the bar,he goes above and beyond, it is special when you have a barman who is multiskilled and with character, he gives people service from their sun beds especially the 20 cheese and onion toasties 🤣

The pool is nice and quiet during the day and a good place to relax , at the front of the hotel at night can become noisy due to bars and traffic

We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday and stayed at la caretta we were very pleased with the room and found it very well equiped for our needs ,the hotel is central and in good walking distance from bars and resturants also the beach is just a 5 miniute walk

We did not stay at the hotel, but we hired quad bikes from the owner, Jerry. It was the end of the season and he was so welcoming and accommodating! He really went out of his way to make our experience special

The hotel is situated in the centre of the town and has steps down to the sea so very central. Having read previous reviews I was not expecting much. The beds were comfy with toppers on

A food shop next door open late for everything and great for bottled water and groceries on arrival, stays open very late. Restaurants open late too which is great when we didn’t arrive until late

20 metres away steps lead to the sea. Not crystal clear but very warm. Snack bar great with a small selection of ice creams drinks and cocktails, serving lunch and breakfast

We paid for the air con, the rooms were basic but very clean and had everything we needed. Small kitchenette with kettle, 2 ring hob, sink and fridge with freezer

All areas in the hotel were very clean - the rooms got cleaned daily and the pool area was very nice! Our room was super spacious and cool with an awesome view of the trees surrounding the hotel, which made it very romantic

My family and I highly recommend the amazing Hotel Varres! All of the staff were extremely friendly and polite - they helped us with a couple of restaurant recommendations (which were excellent) and spots to visit along the coastline and in the city centre

They had a lot of parking space (btw, you really need a car in Zakynthos). Pool area was very nice and clean and they gave us other towels for staying at the pool
