November 2025: What a wonderful gem in the heart of Budapest. It's at Deak Ferenc ter -- about a block from the Ferris wheel (for comparison's sake). The Museum of Illusions is in the same courtyard as the hotel. Quiet, clean; friendly staff; good prices. The metro/subway is about a block away as is the fashion street. A lot of action in the area. Tons of restaurants. And the 100E Airport Express...

3 nights in Budapest Victoria was amazing! Super friendly and gave some great suggestions of things to do in the city. Hotel was centrally located and walkable to almost anything! The room was nice, however the WiFi was spotty at best and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but not terrible.

This was such a cool concept. It’s located in an amazing part of town. The staff was very helpful and the room was very spacious. Would gladly recommend as a key place to stay while in Budapest.

Short stay vacation - Budapest I personally enjoyed the heritage of the building and the antiquity. My room 15 was well pointed, large and 2 windows. The breakfast was sufficient to get your day started. Felt like a safe area and good walking distance to main attractions.

In my review I want to specifically mention the politeness of the staff and readiness to support us, good breakfast, convenient location of the hotel and its unique atmosphere of the 30's. The location is good. When I checked in, I told the front desk that I would not have breakfast because I had to go to the airport early the next morning. The front desk enthusiastically said that they would prepare a breakfast package for me in advance.

The room is very large, with a large bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom and shower are separate, and the washbasin is only in the bathroom, which is a bit unreasonable. The National Museum is next to it, so it is easy to spot.

Amazing place to stay in the heart of Budapest, with surprisingly lush greenery just across the street. Everything available within close proximity (dining, coffee, supermarket, museums, etc). We really appreciated the spacious accomodation, arriving from another country where we had significantly smaller rooms. Staff was super friendly as well!

Really welcoming place. Very big and as well international as national breakfast. Suites are really big and have all amenities from water cooker to hair dryer and shampoo but standard furniture. The hotel is very close to the metro station and tram station. However, the room has not totally cleaned up since there is some biscuit chips on the desk and the floor.  One of the lamp does not work but it isn’t a big problem.

A beautiful hotel at a nice, quiet location close to the center (and even closer to the trams). The staff was really friendly, beds comfy, and breakfast tasty. It's in the Buda district, and for Buda, it's pretty good. The transportation is convenient. However, I still feel staying in the Pest district is better. The hotel is very close to Buda Castle and Gellért Thermal Bath, both within walking distance.

Important to note that currently the hotel is undergoing renovation works so there is often construction workers and it is in essence a construction site. Such a good location in the city, we stayed for 4 nights on a room only basis, so can't comment on the restaurant or food. Just walk couple minutes from Ferenciek station or 5 minutes from Deák Ferenc ter station and I can walk to Vuci street behind the hotel 3 mins by walk as well. I arrived last Saturday for one night and the receptionist was perfect and very fast. She spoke very good English. In the evening I came back very late and she was there right away to open the parking lot for me.

We had a great stay in Vácz Hotel. The spacious room was well decorated with new furniture, bed and Sofa were very comfy and everything was perfectly clean. The location is the only reason to stay here - very central but still quiet. The room itself wasn't great - v small for 4 of us, no mirror in bathroom (it was just left on the floor in the room), missing curtain, they don't even provide soap. I think this is supposed to be a very budget backpacker place - literally just a place to sleep.

Facility & staff were EXCELLENT, but.. The facility and the staff were great and excellent. But I had to put a lower rate because people in the next door were so loud throughout the night. I heard the screaming and banging noise constantly (fighting???), that scared me. Staffs are not at night on site, and I could not ask anybody to check them out.
