The Hotel Chesscom has come a long way and improved/changed significantly in the last ten years. For guests who depart or land at Budapest Airport, the location as well ad the price/quality ratio is hard to beat

Friendly, professional english speaking staff, clean, well heated rooms, with comfortable beds. Stable wifi, good water pressure. The only downside is the weak sound insulation

The room was clean and had everything you might need for a short stay, including some lovely complimentary local snacks. Very pleased — I would happily stay here again

It is okay for a very short stay. The staff are friendly and mostly helpful. The place is also mostly clean. However, the place had a few ants, had an awful pillow and a very small bed

Accomodated in a side building, penthouse, with no AC. Very warm outside, very warm inside. A sad vent-fan did the work very hard. And we had to ask for the towels. Kind of bad accomodation for 4 stars hotel

From the moment we were trying to find a place for a week end gateway, everything went well and we arrived to find a very nice hotel with swimming pools very clean, good and plenty food, maybe a little more expensive than expected, but all worthwhile!

Everything is top notch: from the cleaning of the abundant food, starting with breakfast, where you will find everything you want, and a varied lunch and dinner with many delicacies, with all dishes Swedish buffet !!!

Hotel has their own pool, massage center, sauna, kids room for palying and baby sitting for kids from 3 years old. Fitness room is very basic and small, but it will do the job

Excellent experience from start to finish. The communication was extraordinary prior to our arrival. I had booked the room online but wanted to make some amendments and I emailed them as I don't speak Hungarian

The spa was divine, with beautiful pools and surrounding lounge chairs. The music was soft and perfect for relaxing in the spa. The entire staff was outstanding and seemed to be very happy and well-trained

We went on a 3-day mini holiday with my family to Heviz. My son loved the swimming pools and we loved the saunas. Breakfast was very good with lots of options

The hotel is right next to the small square in the city center, which is very convenient. It's not far from Lake Hévíz and there are many dining options nearby

A quick survey of reception I located my check in details and a room key. If arriving after 8pm I would give this hotel a miss. There is an abundance of hotels in the area

In summary: beautifully designed, comfortable, and with great spa facilities. Just make sure to plan your arrival before reception closes and be aware of the parking situation

There is a significant wellness wing with a sauna steam room, light therapy showers, swimming pool, hot tube and a 50cm 1 1/2 feet deep kids pool with toys

There is a small pool for kids, a bigger one for adults, a jacuzzi, and a sauna. The spa area is small, but it was not crowded at all (we were there on workdays)

It's a fantastic kids-friendly wellness hotel with delightful staff. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The bathroom is excellent, with a bathtub. We had a great dining and breakfast experience

The restaurant has a built-in soft play area for children and pool tables/ darts for adults

Staff will issue you bathrobes in adult and kids sizes, which was included in the room rate

There is a small playroom near the restaurant perfect for kids to use while parents eat. There is another outdoor playground, which is very nice and well equipped for small children. The spa area was nice and clean

It was wonderfully quiet and cozy. The breakfast offered a great variety, and every morning there was delicious, fresh scrambled eggs. We would gladly come back again 🤗

Only just arrived so given a 4 out of 5 for location & ambience so that may increase before the end of the week Holiday over & gone up to 5 stars. Lovely hotel. Victor was very helpful

A very beautiful, refined hotel right in the heart of the Castle District, next to Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion

The hotel service was excellent! We arrived around 8:00 AM and initially wanted to leave our luggage at the front desk, but the staff said we could check in and go to our rooms in 30 minutes

Location: On the Buda side, a 5-minute walk from Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, perfect for a morning getaway to see the Pest scenery! The Fisherman's Bastion is truly beautiful in the morning! Amenities: The room was spacious and bright, and included slippers, which was rare! It was also relatively clean and quiet! Meals: Breakfast was simple, consisting of coffee, bread, eggs, and juice...

It's easily accessible by public transport, or if you're good on your feet, you can climb the many stairs to get up there. We had a lovely, spacious suite with a view of the inner courtyard

If you step outside for a few hours, the surroundings are peaceful and perfect for a walk or hike, and one of Hungary’s best wineries, St. Andrea, is only a few minutes away on foot

The spa area offers excellent massage programs and intensive sauna sessions, just make sure to book your massages in advance, as they are in high demand

There are several room types to choose from, each suited to different preferences, and the staff is consistently kind, helpful, and attentive

In the evenings, you can enjoy a shisha and/or a drink while listening to live music, which creates a truly relaxing mood

Shiraz Hotel in Egerszalók is the perfect place to hide away with someone you love

We chose the hotel for one night because of the Christmas markets. Perfect proximity to the center and parking right in front of the hotel for 6€ per night. We had a completely sufficient breakfast (for us)

A wonderful historic building with great staff. All were engaging and pleased to talk. Breakfast was a treat and wide covered. The hotel is wonderfully situated in the historic sector of Gyor

It is well situated on the riverside in Gyor, a superb town that is well worth a visit. We were overwhelmed by the welcome and helpfulness of all staff

Kind service, typical bed and breakfast service. You can count on lots of add ons. Wellnes, pools (small) but enough to cool down, table tennis, snooker, sauna, bicycles. 10 min to Balaton beach(paid)

Wonderful guesthouse with great service. We had a wonderful holiday, in the guesthouse you can not be bored. Pools, wellness, billiards, table tennis, playground

The receptionist was super nice and showed us everything. The guesthouse has three swimming pools and one whirlpool (the whirpool was little bit dirty), many possibilities for living

Breakfast great, many kinds of bread, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, muesli etc. Coffee, tea, milk hot and cold, juices. The guesthouse is located near the pier and near the city centre. Parking directly at the guesthouse

It is 3 star hotel near highway. I recommend it if you want to watch F1 because it's 15 min away from race track ( Hungaroring) 20 min to city center. City bus stops near hotel and you can go to city center with it

Our room was very clean, decent, and beds where very comfortable. There was warm water and heating in our room. This hotel has good connection to the city center, only 20-30minutes away

On the other hand, breakfast could have been a lot better and WiFi connection could be stronger. Other than that, I have no complaints

It have swiming pul, restaurant, parking. Room was clean no problem there. It's next to McDonald's and big shopping center

definitely overpriced pros: nice breakfast and beds. cons: aircon heating does not work, website says everyday room cleaning, not true; cleaning means only towel change, not even this on weekends

Comfortable, clean hotel with a very friendly staff. A good breakfast. Nice and clean rooms. There is everything you need. A little small parking lot for all hotel guests. The linen is clean and tidy. Highly recommend

We paid 75 euro for four people , one night. We got nice and tidy room with two huge beds and kitchen + bathroom. Breakfast was included.

Room was clean and in an OK state, I liked the mini kitchen with fridge, oven and microwave. Bathroom is above average but I hate curtains in the shower, a door would raise the quality tremendously

A table and a chair are missing very much from the room

The breakfast offers a good selection of food. On the downside, the bed linen was not very clean — I found quite a few hairs on it and noticed a couple of ants in the bathroom

The hotel has a nice cozy indoor garden. Rooms are good, everything you need. Sometimes you have some stains in the bed sheet, or long hairs on the bed. And when we arrive there was some rests of poo still in the toilet

The hotel is in a great location, with a metro station nearby, which makes it easy to get around the city. It takes no more than 10–15 minutes to reach the centre of Budapest by metro

The Hotel is incredible, specially for its price. The room is spacious and has a fridge and coffee machine( but no coffee) The hotel internal design is very interesting. Its clean and rooms also has air conditioning

Low cost simple hotel with a very friendly staff

We only did an overnight stay at the hotel while going from Croatia towards Austria. Breakfast was ok with some basic things. Staff could not communicate well in English but they tried their best to help out

Parking is free, but there was a fair going nearby and lots of people parked their cars. There is no barrier to limit parking to hotel guests

A particularly good buffet breakfast is served: scrambled eggs made with fresh eggs and not the usual egg-powder, hot dishes, cold cuts & cheeses, breads & toast, cereals & fruits, milk & yoghurts, juices & preserves, rolls & croissants, tea & coffee

Palatinus Grand Hotel is in the centre of Pécs next to the main square and dates from 1915. The beautiful Art Deco hotel, fully rebuilt in 2022-2025 for €5. 4m, reopened in December 2025 and offers 85 rooms over 5 floors

Next door is the Palatinus Boutique Hotel with 29 rooms. Furnishings and decoration provide a top-quality atmosphere. Service is friendly and helpful. We came shorty after the reopening of the Palatinus Grand

Nice hotel, towels and bed sheets were old but clean. Room was spacious and tidy l. Balcony view good. Breakfast and coffee wasn't bad itself. Overall it was a good stay. Public transport is just 100-200 m away.

Room was small but, we only had a backpack with us since were staying one night and had left our luggage elsewhere so it was not an issue for us but I can see it being a problem if you have luggage

It is a good option and you can check out your luggage for free

I had an hour of relaxation massage,pleasant atmosphere, and the lady was amazing. Super friendly, cheerful and attractive indeed

It is a good hotel with quiet and air-conditioned rooms. The air-conditioning is a bit weird, though, as it is located in the bathroom. The food is very good and you can take as much as you want

I'we been visiting this hotel every summer for the third time now. It is really close to the beach, has an acceptable wellness area(good to have but not a wellness hotel. It is for winter, and bad weather)

The bathrooms have been modernised. The breakfast and dinner are acceptable. There are good restaurants in 5min distance with a car. The wifi is slow, as a sloth, ISDN style slow

But the peple are nice, if you treat them as people. I like to be there every year, and i see all the hard work and effort what they do to improve the hotel

It’s a really retro hotel, it can give you a true hungarian nostalgic feeling. Pro: very clean, next to the beach Contra: the food is bad, the staff is rude, kinda expensive It’s not worth it.

Beachside hotel at the Balaton. Supercheap, retro with all the problems that come with it. If you spend most of your time on the beach anyway or come with kids it is great
