From the moment we arrived, the lady at reception was incredibly kind and welcoming - she made us feel at home straight away and was happy to help with anything we needed. The manager was fantastic too
Nice hotel, towels and bed sheets were old but clean. Room was spacious and tidy l. Balcony view good.
Breakfast and coffee wasn't bad itself. Overall it was a good stay. Public transport is just 100-200 m away.
I had a small issue with my Expedia booking, and he sorted it out in just a few minutes - super professional, calm, and genuinely caring. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable
Overall, everything about our stay was lovely - great people, great service, and such a positive atmosphere. We left with only the best impressions
I stayed here with my parents during a layover between two long trips, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience
I extended my stay for one more day, really enjoyed here. The hotel staff are so polite and assisted me in everything I needed.

Convenient location with great transport links, clean environment, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and good soundproofing. The service was friendly and efficient. There are many restaurant options nearby
Really enjoyed my stay here. Bohem Art Hotel is a great option for solo travelers, offering comfort, good location, and a pleasant vibe.
The hygiene level is quite good and the facilities are quite clean. Location close to various attractions such as Central Market, Liberty Bridge, Danube River, Cruise Marina
I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Budapest
Room was small but, we only had a backpack with us since were staying one night and had left our luggage elsewhere so it was not an issue for us but I can see it being a problem if you have luggage
It is a good option and you can check out your luggage for free

I would recommend this place to anyone who is after a relaxing weekend, or having a time off to visit beautiful countryside. Keep rocking,

Very well managed Balaton hotel. All kind of services. Kind staff. Perfectly clean.
The staff is friendly, the food is well presented, and cooked to perfection. The wellness facilities are satisfactory. The extra services are excellent
Great food. Friendly staff. Decent spa.
It is a good hotel with quiet and air-conditioned rooms. The air-conditioning is a bit weird, though, as it is located in the bathroom. The food is very good and you can take as much as you want
Nice panoramic view from upper floors. Good small rooms. Nice bathrooom. Nice indoor pool an sauna. Good restaurant. Right on the shore of lake Balaton.
I'we been visiting this hotel every summer for the third time now. It is really close to the beach, has an acceptable wellness area(good to have but not a wellness hotel. It is for winter, and bad weather)
The bathrooms have been modernised. The breakfast and dinner are acceptable. There are good restaurants in 5min distance with a car. The wifi is slow, as a sloth, ISDN style slow
But the peple are nice, if you treat them as people. I like to be there every year, and i see all the hard work and effort what they do to improve the hotel
It’s a really retro hotel, it can give you a true hungarian nostalgic feeling. Pro: very clean, next to the beach Contra: the food is bad, the staff is rude, kinda expensive It’s not worth it.
Beachside hotel at the Balaton. Supercheap, retro with all the problems that come with it. If you spend most of your time on the beach anyway or come with kids it is great

Because of the thick walls, the air conditioning that it cools perfectly, it's almost not needed even in the summer heat, but they also prevent us from hearing noise or conversations from other rooms, commendable
Always helpful, she's always there, unprecedented professionalism and kindness that delighted us. , the hardworking guy in the kitchen, the other staff, who are there but imperceptibly, but also the owner of the hotel
A beautiful baroque hotel consisting of three villas with app. The very thick walls, the older facade and the high ceilings in the rooms give a special charm and atmosphere to the stay
A park with a perfectly maintained lawn, sandpit, playground for children, wooden tables with glass tops (we had breakfast there 🤫), benches with XXL umbrellas, but also in the shade of huge trees in the hotel park
So I'm sorry to read the reviews that the facade needs to be renovated, no, it's not necessary, it's beautiful just so old
The bathroom is spacious, the shower cabin is so comfortable that two people can shower together. Warm, hot water 0-24, and the bathroom is complete with enough towels and toiletries, shower gel, etc

Good for an 8 because it lacked a jacuzzi. It could have had one or two, more bubbles, and more frequent water jets. There are loungers at the pool, and sunbeds and umbrellas outside
There is often a waft of sulphur if the breeze is from the thermal baths. They range in temperature from quite cool to very hot. Only the hottest has the minerals. Dressing gowns and towels are supplied
And the food? Congratulations to the chefs! Delicious! And so much of it! Something different every day, always something super tasty. Delicious freshly ground coffee, with a choice of cold or hot milk, almond or soy
With white or brown sugar and sweetener. The bread and croissants disappeared quickly because they were the best. Okay, as for the food, it's a 10. As for the pools, it's a 10 again
The key feature of this hotel is the thermal pools. There are four pools of varying temperature. Another is pleasantly warm and has an inside and outside section. These pools do not appear to be mineral spas
The other two small pools are high in mineral content and high in temperature. They say to limit your dip to 20 minutes. Outside there is a generous lawn with ample deck chairs and shade from umbrellas
We had spent only a night here. My wife and I were happy with everything. The food was nice though. This place represents really good value. I would recommend.
One of the nicest Mercure hotels I have stayed at. Very nicely appointed.
Unfortunately the pool was closed even though the weather was good (only April), but we still got to enjoy the spa area. Clean and fairly big rooms, good service and a good restaurant inside the hotel
We will return in the summer to enjoy the outdoor pool and the nice terrace
Excellent hotel with the best location. Nice and clean rooms, friendly staff, great foods. Wine tasting programms are very unique in the hotel. The sommelier is high educated
Everything is good, few people speak German and room cleaning is not good
Our team of ~50 colleagues have spent a weekend in this remote corner of Hungary, Gosztola. The wellness Hotel is a good place to stay. Clean and comfortable rooms with enough facility around for a larger group of people
Beautiful outdoor place for hiking, biking or just hanging around by car. Absolutely recommended for family vacation too. THey are flexible with custom needs, like team builings services and party programs
Comfortable room, extra delicious food during the breakfast time. Good service in the gála dinner. Nice spa.
You would en belive this place existed if you look at the way to get there. Smal, narrow roads through the forest. A fantastic place, still, guiet, just so relaxing. Personal is vere friendly and helpful
Rooms have aged, but that's okay. Dinner and breakfast was good too. Reception opens at 8 and breakfast also starts at 8. Something you might want to consider, if you have to leave early, like we did
It's a cozy, romantic place with gluten free bread if asked in advance.
The hotel has a decent breakfast with enough variety to start the day, and the location is very convenient, near the city centre, making it easy to get around and visit nearby attractions.
They are kind and professional. I offer them.
The room was clean, spacious, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The TV and remote control were awful; there was no channel list, the remote worked intermittently, and the TV screen was tiny
Good location and good-sized rooms. Clean. As other reviewers have mentioned, some details in the bathrooms need attention. Good but limited breakfast buffet (no fruit or yoghurt). Good value.
The exterior of the hotel seems to have been renovated, so it was a bit different from the interior, but there was a breakfast buffet and it was a comfortable stay
The food and dining experience in general was the best part about this hotel. The quality of the rooms should be brought up to the quality of the restaurant

Great hotel, close to the Slovakian border and Danube river. The spa was easily accessible and included in the price of the room. The staff was professional and friendly. Room was clean and had a great view.
We went to Portobello based on a recommendation of friends, who both have 2 kids each. We asked them to recommend a good spa hotel not too far away from Budapest and Portobello came up multiple times
Frankly, there is a lot to love to about Portobello, at least there was for us. The food (we were half board, so breakfast and dinner) is really delicious, especially for what you pay for and the setting
We practically spent 3 full days in the spa area and with our then 3,5-year-old son, we simply had a blast with the all the different options the wellness area had to offer
The hotel's services are of a high standard. I can only recommend it Room service, reception and catering are of a high standard The cleanliness of the room, the well-being of the entire staff are professional
The service is top-notch, not once did anyone make a face or not be ready to help; and they did all this with actually being able to help as well

Outstanding experience. Best seafood pasta and tiramisu ever. Good presentation, nice quiet atmosphere, great service.
Haven't stayed there, just parked next to it
It is 3 star hotel near highway. I recommend it if you want to watch F1 because it's 15 min away from race track ( Hungaroring) 20 min to city center. City bus stops near hotel and you can go to city center with it
Our room was very clean, decent, and beds where very comfortable. There was warm water and heating in our room. This hotel has good connection to the city center, only 20-30minutes away
On the other hand, breakfast could have been a lot better and WiFi connection could be stronger. Other than that, I have no complaints
It have swiming pul, restaurant, parking. Room was clean no problem there. It's next to McDonald's and big shopping center
nice stuff and good food. the location is natural und quite. i liked it.
Lovely hotel by lake Balaton
It was wonderful, the hotel is located just minutes from the beach, breakfast was delicious with home backed goods. The hotel has a great wellness area with whirlpools, jacuzzi and saunas
Wellness with indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi, different type of saunas, massage, games can all provide a calm and dedicated time and relaxation. The food is delicious and include all sort of type
Great hotel, good restaurant and a very relaxing pool (jacuzzi)
As a returning guest, I am still not disappointed. Friendly staff, relaxation without disturbance. Buffet restaurant with varied, delicious food. This hotel is dog-friendly, which is a plus
Medium sized hotel on the shore of Lake Balaton. Situated just opposite with the train station of Alsóörs, yet the arrival and departing trains are not disturbing
Our accommodation was in one of the floating houses on the water – a truly unique experience!
This five-star resort offers top-class facilities: a fine dining restaurant, a beautiful terrace, an outdoor swimming pool, a heated jacuzzi, and an indoor sauna
I must say I have been impressed by this hotel. Foremost, the personnel who is coming to help you enjoy your days off the city hustle. Nature is close be it for water sports, biking or just a walk
The floating houses are, in my opinion, a true 7-star experience: two separate bedrooms, a spacious living room, and a private terrace directly on the water, all with outstanding comfort
Food was high quality, superb selection of drinks offered. Nearby wine region offers a few scenic spots, quality wines to try or purchase. Thanks for this amazing experience!
We arrived at Donautica Hotel & SPA by air, landing at Ocsény, and from the very beginning we were impressed by the warm welcome and attention from the hotel staff
Around the houses, we could admire water lilies, aquatic plants, fish joyfully jumping, little duck families paddling around, and even graceful swans on the water
Strange place to stay, seemingly lost in time. Very dark rooms and an odd / unknown method to access the bar or restaurant. However great squash courts and sauna/ swimming pool
English spoken by almost all staff that we dealt with. The spa was clean and has good sauna and steam rooms with jet pools and swimming, all at a good temperature
Amenities
Not good. Even the advertise the pool, you can not use it for free. Need to pay
Cracked sink in the bathroom, with the cheapest handsoap/no shower gel or shampoo provided. No kettle or other tea/coffee making facilities, the minibar is super expensive
There are 2 jakuzzies and one larger pool. The saunas are nice and clean. My only problem was that there is drinking water by the saunas but there are no glasses provided
The hotel isn't a 4 star one, maximum 3. This hotel is very "old", and it seems they only spend money on maitanance if it's absolutely needed, cracked sink in the bathroom, missing tiles in the pool area, dated decor

Good apartments and pools. Nice environment, kind staff.
The hotel is more like a place to sleep in than a suite to spend a lot of time in, it was not clean at all (spiderwebs + spider in the toilet, leaves left from autumn under our beds, etc) and the furniture brings you back to the late eighties, but the outside thermal pool, tennis, table tennis and other activities are well worth the low price
It is close to the city, 5min walk to the castle and 10-15min to the centre. The Várfürdő with 18 pools is also a mere 10min walk from here. Gyula is a very nice place as well
Definitely not the worst, but far from satisfactory. The rooms and the buildings could be cleaner and far more modern. The pools, especially the swimming pool, are too small and crowded
This hotel is more like giving you a place to sleep than a place to live in, but it does that perfectly as it is relatively cheap and it's situated nicely for the spa and city centre
There are more modern 'houses' in the hotel, too, but I think they cost more than the regular ones as there are less of them + they are better equipped
The wellness area is beautifully done, offering more than enough space for everyone to enjoy the pool, jacuzzi, saunas, and more. The breakfast selection is impressive, with a wide variety of fresh options
The pool was clean and the sauna and hot tub excellent. The gym was a bit basic and too warm, but available
The pool is quite small, and the rubber lining was wrinkled
The room was clean and well equipped (except for a drying rack for swimwear. ) and all staff members were helpful, especially the lovely lady in the restaurant. Food was delicious and plenty
Easily one of the better spreads I’ve seen at a hotel. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and recharge for a weekend
A perfect spot for a relaxing weekend escape. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and equipped with excellent bathrooms
Stayed here while driving through Hungary. Arrived late in the evening, emailed to state this and very helpful. Was quite warm and other than opening window no way to cool room. Breakfast was typical for country
Great place to stay and relax during long trip in Europe, close to motorway. Unfortunately I stayed only night hours and didn’t have the opportunity to get much more of this great hotel
The hotel is open 24/7, which was very convenient — I checked in at 4 a. The staff were friendly and helpful, there is parking available, and the breakfast was tasty
Everything was satisfying, starting from the friendliness of the staff, the variety of food (rich selection of food for breakfast and dinner), the room is confortable and clean, the hotel's contents (bowling, mini golf, spa)
A great option if you arrive late at night or early in the morning
We find out this hotel on the from Türkiye to Hamburg/Germany. We enjoyed a very friendly personal in the whole hotel. The room and the restaurant inclusive personal wert very good
Under the banner of environmental protection, they even charge extra for changing bath towels every day. I stayed for three days and only received one cleaning (just made up the quilt). It's totally not worth the price
And the breakfast in the morning was outstanding. One could easily walk to most parts of Eger from this hotel. I was surprise me to find out they charged for parking -- they said it was to pay for the security system
The rooms are a bit dated in design. We had a room with large windows facing the street and sidewalk, and we're not sure the curtains there did much to help with our privacy. The appliances don't always work properly
It sort of threw me -- why did they need a security system if this was a safe area? But it was only 5 euros a night, and it turned out there wasn't enough spaces for one night, so we had to park on the street
We found a spot very close to the hotel and had no issues. The hotel had a mineral bath, but unfortunately we never had a chance to use it. But they provided robes for the baths, which was a nice touch
The wine cellar tour with wine tasting offered to us, by an English-language leaflet, turned out to be exclusively in Hungarian. It's not entirely clear what the Beatles Museum does at the hotel
