An amazing place to stay after a long, adventurous day relaxing in the sauna and hot baths is the perfect way to unwind. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options and is a fantastic start to the day. Complimentary coffee, cookies, and fruit available throughout the day are a wonderful bonus. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

We loved this hotel. Lovely staff, and great facilities. Breakfast was great, and hot drinks and juice available all the time. The two hot tubs would have been a great place to watch the northern lights from had it not been cloudy! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Boutique hotel just outside Selfoss in the middle of a picturesque location nestled in the hills. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The sauna and the hot tub are exactly as advertised. Breakfast had a lot of options and they also has some cakes and cookies at all hours in the lobby. Overall very good experience and would definitely come back.

Absolutely our favorite stay while in Iceland. This spot is about 10 minute outside of the main Hofn area and very affordable. Our self-check in was very easy and our room was easy to find. Perfect location just outside Hofn. Very nice guesthouses with shared bathrooms. We stayed only for one night but we couldn't have asked for anything better. In line with prices in and around Hofn.

We arrived around 8 and they were very helpful with dining options outside of the hotel but we ended up eating there, which was an amazing choice! The service was excellent, the food was delicious. We spoke with a worker for almost an hour after the restaurant should have closed and got many suggestions on where to go on our trip and lots of information about Iceland. Wonderful stay!

Very good, cheap, good service, and decent breakfast

Nice hotel off the city center but walkable. Room comfortable enough for 4 people. It was like a duplex with 4 comfortable twin beds. Bathroom kind of small. Room did have some hot springs odor that was not pleasant but nothing overwhelming. Staff nice and courteous. Breakfast was very simple continental but lacked more types of bread or danishes.

The reception staff is helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily. On excursions, given the hotel's location, we're the first to arrive home! However, there are no refrigerators in the rooms and no shops nearby.

It's a student dorm but in the summer it's a hotel. Therefore the rooms are not super cosy, but it's okay and clean. All rooms have a great view onto the fjord! Breakfast was great! And you can make your own waffles! 😍

Great location and within walking distance of a lot of stuff! Only complaint is the room was slightly dirty upon arrival. The housekeeping left behind used cleaning towels, a glove IN the toilet bowl, and the shower had stuff from the previous people left behind. We did get breakfast down the street through the hotel each morning which was great!

Breakfast was good, maybe the best part of this property. Shower was old and gross. Guest room and breakfast room are very dark. Probably by keeping it dark, they can hide some dirtiness of the property? There’s a reason why it’s super affordable compared to other places around the area.

This is about a 12min walk to the edge of downtown. It is still within a lively area of hotels and restaurants. They have tried to update the interior which is fine, but it is a bit damp and has carpets in the main hallways. We arrived late but Cindy was there to greet us and give us our key and overview of the property. She was also there at the excellent breakfast and chatted with us about her life in Iceland and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. We saw whales from the pier and walked along the quiet beach. Overall an excellent stay.

My family of four had a lovely stay at the Holt Inn. The room was spacious and clean; the property nestled in a gorgeous and peaceful valley; and the hostess Cindy (whom my 2.5 and 4.5 year olds loved) was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. To top it off, we saw the northern lights and about a million stars from the hot tub!

The place was very clean and very close to Seljalandsfoss - a great place to stay if you’re touring the south coast. Staff was also very helpful - I left my earbud on the bed and they kept it for me to pick it up on our way back to Reykjavik x Only complaint is the drain was quite smelly when we got in. Would be great if the staff could air the toilet a bit before the next guest!

Nice hotel which is reasonably close to the airport. Shuttle service (one way) from the hotel to the airport is a bonus. Too bad there's no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Not sure why. The hotel is located on a plate Space you can’t see anything surround you even the small town. So you have to carry your own food here and you can cook by yourself. All around you is the dark sky for endless, and you can use the hot pot and the sunna room for a rest. They don’t offer breakfast, but they will offer you free coffee and milk and biscuits.

The floor is warm, even though there are strong winds at night in the area, there is no one talking around. The sound of the wind is like natural white noise, and there are mini bar drinks, tea, and coffee included in the accommodation price. We could not been any happier with this hotel. It has matched our expectations. It has a beautiful setting and lovely staff. The grounds, especially the historic church, are well worth seeing. We had a very pleasant stay here. The check in was at the restaurant, the rooms were actually 2 minutes away by car. There was a fully equipped kitchen in the house, everything was clean. We also saw a reindeer and the northern lights from there.

The hotel is located in an isolated position in the countryside near the village of hvosollur. There is a restaurant inside with prices in line with Iceland. I have stayed at the hotel twice, went a couple of times to the restaurant and now I went to the new baths and dinner. Everything was so good, food excellent, service excellent and the baths so cozy. They seem to be still working on the bath facilities but quite obvious that they are ambitious in providing an memorable experience for their customers.

Stopped for dinner on my way from Reykjavik to Akureyri. Had the “Hraunsnef Burger” and it both filled my stomach and pleased my soul for the remaining trip. Highly recommended for the whole family ... the best bite on Highway #1 between Reykjavik and Akureyri.

The property is lovely, the terrace on a sunny day was especially a hit point! The town is quiet and had excellent food nearby. Stefan was an amazing host, very comfortable for a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. We felt like home.
