Great experience! Me and my girlfriend stayed two night at Laki Hotel and everything was nice. Good breakfast, nice and tidy room, friendly and polite staff. We also spotted Northern Lights from the hotel parking, due to its position.

What a great hotel! My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our recent trip. It was a perfect mid-way point between Jokulsarlon glacier area and Vik. They had fabulous rooms, dining, and bar experience. Would recommend!

A good option in the middle of nowhere! Great breakfast that was included in the hotel fee. But dinner was too pricey. Lovely views from a beautiful deck. Comfortable rooms. 3-person.

We've stayed here only for one night. The place is nice, the rooms were clean and spacious, they have a nice restaurant and bar - good service and good drinks. The view from the terrace was impressive. Beautiful atmosphere. But they clearly need to make some improvements for the bathrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The bedrooms were comfortable and a good size and the breakfast was good. They allowed us to store some bits in their fridge which was great. The highlight for us was seeing the northern lights here.

The location is okay. On the way to Vatnajökull, the breakfast tastes good. Overall, the price/performance ratio is not high.

Nice hotel! Their chef is one of the best hotel chefs in Iceland. Even though every hotel seems to have the same breakfast buffet. Here it was cooked properly and with love.

Beautiful hotel with near the national reservation. Hotel is cosy, it feels more like a holiday colony than a hotel rooms feel seperated so you don't feel crowded. Breakfast was great. My only suggestion would be walkin showers foe the rooms we had a showerbath combo. With some luck you can watch the nothernlights in a very clean jaccuzi.

This hotel is an excellent place to arrange an overnight stay the night before flying out. It is located only 5-10m away from airport and was the endpoint for us after a private tour of iceland, making it a very simple matter to get an early flight the next morning. Stayed here for the last night of our trip in Iceland, excellent location near Keflavik airport with complementary airport drop-off. Managed to catch the northern nights outside the hotel, which was the highlight of our tour which we thought we would miss after 1 week.

The Ladies at the front desk are INCREDIBLE, especially for solo travelers, they are very helpful. The food is FANTASTIC. Perfect place to see the Northern Lights and only 8 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the Blue Lagoon. The roof top hot tube is very nice. I wish the shower water pressure was harder and warmer.

Lovely cosy hotel. Very quiet and stylish. Rooftop pool was such a bonus super warm and very relaxing. Checking in and out was very easy. Perfect location with lots of nearby shops, supermarkets and bakeries.

We chose Hotel Berg because it's only 10 minutes from the airport, so easier to get going in the morning after a one-night stay. But: it's the MOST charming place. As you enter the hotel you can obviously see that they are seeking for money. No kettle or spresso machine in the room (you have to pay around 20€ daily if you want them) , no water in the fridge at all , a list of the prices of all the products in the room ( such as blankets and condoms and some toothbrushes and etc.) hidden in the cabinet! Great location and helpful staff but the rooms have not been slept in by anyone running this hotel - and therefore aren’t well designed. No light switches or sockets by the bed (in fact only one set of sockets under the desk and the window on the floor so you have to properly get down on hands and knees!) other than that the toilet doesn’t have a proper door and the shower is just behind a glass panel...

The room, the staff (especially Abraham) , everything was perfect.

We found our room to be typical of most European hotels. Minimalist, no storage, and no door on the bathroom. That means when you turn on the light to use the restroom in the middle of the night, it lights up the entire room. Tha room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We had only a 1 day stay as we were getting on a cruise ship. This hotel was very close to the cruise port and the staff their directed us to a walkable distance to a free shuttle bus to the cruise port, We explored the area , which was downtown, on foot and enjoyed it very much..

Overpriced for the quality of the room Good location but room with slanted ceiling and only skylights without windows. Felt like we were in an attic. Not happy with the room for the price we paid.

The room was clean however the bathroom really smelt badly of “drain”. The bed was comfortable and the area was generally quiet. The breakfast was very crowded with little room to manoeuvre. The hot food was lukewarm at best with the bacon being totally undercooked on the first morning and overcooked on the second morning. The bread I felt like eating on the second morning of my stay was still frozen...

Great stay pre-cruise. Excellent property, beautifully appointed. Was just a short walk to our cruise port and to the Harpa concert hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of dining and drinking options within a short walk and an excellent restaurant in-house

Good hotel, quite centrally located, with ample parking right on site. I really enjoyed the breakfast, but the seating there was a bit awkward – you sit too low and it's too soft.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Muli. Patricia, who checked us in on 1st January, was very kind and helpful. After arriving on an early-morning flight, it was really nice to be greeted with a smile. The hotel room was clean and spacious, with enough room to open multiple suitcases. It included breakfast and complimentary hot drinks available at all times. There was also a dining area with utensils. The location is a bit far from the city center, but easily accessible by bus.

Very strong smell of chlorine when entered the room including chlorine smell on the towels. No cleaning services or bed sheet changing ( we stayed 2 nights ), the receptionist told us it's the policy and if we would like it changed we should go get the bed sheet/towels they provided by ourselves which was not mentioned when checked-in or when we booked. Luckily, there was parking available right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of hot water and heating. Breakfast was excellent, and drinks were provided in the common area. Everything was great, except for getting a bit lost initially trying to find my way with the elevator directions.

So charming and I loved the lake monster. She was a wonderful host. The ambience is like a cozy luxe cabin. The restaurant was so delicious. Good sushi in Iceland with LOCAL wasabi was not on my Arctic bucket list but slay. Very generous/kind reception and wait staff. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. To top it off, the spa was so relaxing! We booked this on the fly and were not disappointed. After a bunch of hours driving, we arrived here to find a very sweet hotel on the lake. The view out back said "come on in." The room is clean, spacious, quiet and comfy. We immediately hit the on site spa and sat on the hot tub for a while. We love the staff.

The hotel is in a convenient location close to the city center. Service is fine and generally meets basic expectations. The room is clean and comfortable. However, the cooking facilities are not very practical, so guests who plan to prepare meals may find it a little inconvenient.

The location is amazing in the middle of the shopping, dining, supermarkets, bus stops etc. Room is not large but has everything one needs. Loved the kitchenette, access to coffee, towels, and kitchen needs. Room was clean, modern and includes a small dining table. We enjoyed the bar downstairs when it was open. Hope we can afford this place if we ever to Iceland!

Everything was fine but no one knew where it’s no sign out side. Even the police car was right out side apartments. But she didn’t not know. .

This was a nice place for a few days stay. The only problem we ran into is that it’s challenging to get in touch with anyone should you need anything. The location is very convenient, with a Little Pig supermarket downstairs. The reception staff were friendly, the room was clean, and there was a view of the landmark church from the window. Storage space was a bit limited, especially in winter when I had a bunch of coats and gloves.

The room is a good size, very clean, warm comforter, nice TV, clean bathroom. But! Poor lighting, no in-house telephone, no instructions for remote.  But,  the receptionist young man is full of information, very well spoken, and took care of my needs.  The breakfast, an avocado toast, and coffee were excellent. So good! I would recommend the hotel as its location is super.

The location is convenient. There is a Xiaozhu supermarket downstairs. It is close to bus stop No. 9, which is convenient for local tour groups to gather and pick up. The room is clean. The counter staff provides early check-in service, but the room lighting is a little dim.

We had the best time at this hotel. We just happened to arrive on the night that they were serving a traditional Iceland christmas dinner and it was amazing. We got to watch the northern lights from one of the three gigantic hot tubs. The staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so you'll get a great night's sleep because there's no noise, the person that was at the front desk at the time of our arrival was the most friendly we encountered in all of our time in Iceland and so was the rest of the staff. It was an okay stay. In my opinion, the best part of the stay was the nice staff! The rest of the hotel is OK, but not great. We spent 270 USD on the room with the view over the river, unfortunately this stay was not worth it. This is a cosy place to stay with access to a nice town and some excellent walking. Also convenient for exploring the national park. Relax in the hot tub before going for a drink and dinner. You must eat here! The food is excellent.

This hotel is a fine stop for a one-night stop for travel across the south coast. Because it is a larger hotel, indeed there are tour buses overnighting here, but that didn’t cause any discomfort for us. The room was spacious and clean and beds were comfortable. It was nice to have breakfast included, which you don’t always find in Iceland. The view from the front-facing rooms is beautiful.

The hotel itself is similar to a Days Inn in America. For the most part it's very basic with few amenities. The beds were very comfortable and the mattresses did look new. Check in was very easy . It took perhaps 2 minutes! The receptionist was knowledgeable and appeared to be able to speak several languages. We stayed in the newer wing of the hotel which was very lovely. The rooms were spacious and the interior was very modern. The hotels restaurant also served delicious food though there are not many other options near by. I woild stay here again.

I really liked staying at this hotel. I stayed on the 4th floor to get the larger room. The other reviews are correct, the slant ceiling is no joke. This is not a room for tall people. The bathroom shower is also very tight. There is also no elevator so consider your packing. With that said, the staff is amazing. Someone is always available, friendly and knowledgeable. Currently here with my daughter and she'd like to move in. Lol. We are in the west building facing the church. The location is great and there's a free parking lot across the road. Because we came in from Canada our sleep times are way off, but the black out curtains helped a lot. The road noise can be a bit high but it didn't affect us at all. Disappointing first stay at this hotel. Most of the staff were lovely and helpful however there was a man working there who was grumpy, unhelpful and rude. Didn’t seem to want to serve people and wouldn’t help us with an early breakfast. The standard room was tiny with no room for luggage and two people. The hot tub was lovely and great to use however

The location is good as it is a drop off and pick up point for Fly Bus. The rooms is clean. Self check-in and if any problem have to use the phone at the lobby to call the customer service. The breakfast spread is limited.

I had a really nice stay at this hostel in Iceland. The location was great and it was easy to get around. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and warm, which was perfect after spending the day outside exploring.

The room is well-equipped and in a good location, close to the city center. Free parking is available at the door. The overall experience is very good. You can check in by yourself by entering the password obtained by the order at the door. There is a breakfast buffet downstairs.

Despite the hotel’s somewhat unpreposessing location in the middle of what appears to be an industrial estate, we did enjoy our stay in room 501 here. Points of note- The hotel is approximately 2 miles from the centre of Reykjavik. So prepare to walk, hire a car or make use of taxis etc. We were told the hotel has no reception desk-and we never did see or find one. You need to contact them in advance...

No reception but they emailed us with the code to get in and the code to our room which all worked fine, no lift, main light not working but that didn’t bother us much as we had the big windows so there was plenty of daylight, didn’t see any cleaners, bad smell from hot water was everywhere in Iceland so no just this hotel, bathroom door didn’t close but other than that everything was clean and done...

The rate of experience definitely is dar better than the pat review. The hotel just need to focus of micro detail of booking such as breakfast , the capsule given for the coffee maker machine should be compatible . Very easy to do the self check-in. I just wish there was an elevator but it wasn't too bad bringing my bag up the stairs. Very nice room.

I can not say enough about this Hotel! The location is perfect if want to see the Northern Lights. The staff at Landhotel are amazing. Adel helped us map out all the must see places and then told us about ones only the locals know about. The food at Tindur was delicious. Erik’s recommendations were on point every time. Can’t wait to come back!
