Great place to stay on an Iceland roadtrip

The food from the restaurant is good, definitely above the average. The price is also reasonable

Great breakfast but the hotel itself looks really scary in the night. There were no lights at the hallway in the morning and worse in the night

It’s not easy to find a hotel in Iceland, and I feel like you get what you pay for. This one is considered cheap. One thing this place didn't do well was the poor WiFi signal in the room I was in. Because the mobile signal was very poor, we had to rely on WiFi. But in the whole room, only the doorway can be connected. When needed, we had to sit at the door as shown in the photo to access the internet

The hotel was clean and the service was great. We really enjoyed the breakfast as they had a variety of options, including home-made goods. Would definitely recommend!

Parking area is spacious, easy to park. Hotel is located near to tourist spot Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. About 10 mins drive. Hotel buffet breakfast is very good. Alot of handmade cookies and cakes, fresh fruits and local meal. Room is clean and tidy. Recommended to stay here.

Rustic hotel with very thin walls. Impossible to sleep without earplugs when your next door neighbour is snoring! Luckily the earplugs are provided from the hotel and can be found in the room. Loved the natural hot springs spa which was open till late and then again before breakfast.

We booked two rooms, one of which turned out to be a loft. Both were incredibly small. Not only was the loft room easy to bump your head on, but the bathroom sink was incredibly small and unusable, and the toilet flushed with a puff of water that was completely ineffective. For nearly 2,000 yuan a night, the room wasn't even as good as a 200 yuan room in China. I've never stayed in a hotel this bad...

A small country home style hotel. I enjoyed my stay there thanks to friendly staffs. The hotel has a small hot spring next to the reception. It is notable that the in-room shower is using hot spring water, which I liked.

The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for two people. The breakfast was good and hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend if you plan on renting a car. It is not as convenient when you depend on the public bus and excursion pickups for transportation.

Our original room experienced a pluming issue on the 1st morning. We were moved straight away no problem. Staff on reception primarily Anna were amazing and extremely helpful, and really help us to enjoy our stay in iceland. Breakfast was a simple buffet style but for the price was ample. We stayed in room 237 and the bathroom smelled like mildew / mold. I think it was coming from the sink. It made the whole room smell. I don’t think it’s healthy to breath in. We had to keep the bathroom door closed so it didn’t stink up the room. The room didn’t come with a hairdryer which is a necessity in Iceland. It’s cold out and wet hair isn’t ideal for cold weather. This property is located in a quiet place. We drove into a parking lot labelled with the name only to discover that registration was half a block back. Other guests helped direct us where to go. The room is sufficient for laying your head down but is much too tiny without enough room to open luggage. It is clean and has a cute communal kitchen but should be advertised as a rooming house or hostel in my opinion.

It’s a small room with full of small kitchen. We can cook a small plate in the room. The bathroom is small but not bad for a price and location.

This is not a hotel as you will expect! No tv in room and by the time you've put 2 suitcases on the floor and rack there is hardly room to move!! One has to climb over your partner to get into bed as there isn't space to walk around your bed!! The restaurant next door is excellent with good food.

Luxury orientation on rooms with early released to public, no tv-excuse 'speak to each other' bold but very risky excuse to not have tv in the room, not even WiFi password....no coffee, no tea..again no explanation. Defo not worth 40k to extend for 3rd night. Especially when there is upgrade suit for 30k with mountain view next door, with elevated service ready to discover. Choices to improve are there...

With 13 rooms. Only 2 Wc/Shower. One was very small, old, didn't even have proper hooks to hang clothes. Shower didn't drain properly. You were always in 3 " of water from start to finish.

We were comfy, warm and had what we needed. We saw the Aurora really clearly as there was no light pollution, it was amazing! The cabins are situated in such a beautiful spot with awesome views and horses nearby. This was a very special place in our Iceland adventure!!

Aurora cabins was the most expensive cabin we stayed in during our trip to Iceland and the smallest. It would be fine for a couple but it was too small for our family of four. The views were lovely but it was closer to the road than I was expecting. It was very well equipped and the shower was great but I’m glad we didn’t stay any longer than one night.

We saw the aurora during our one-night stay from our room, it was fantastic! The cabin was also lovely, with a perfect view in the morning.

Aurora cabins lived up to their name! We were able to catch the lights the night we stayed (and it was the only time we were able to during our vacation)! In regard to the lodging itself - we loved how close to ring road the cabin was. It was easily located via google maps and had a seamless self check in with a parking spot waiting for us. I went here on a school trip an it’s a classic youth hostel. Rooms of 4 and the beds are nice but I have seen better. The shower does smell a bit like H2s which smells like rotten eggs but it’s unnoticeable. The food is amazing but you don’t really see the staff at all if unless you’re a teacher discussing what’s to eat. But the meals are very very nice and they allow you to make your own lunches at...

Beautiful hotel with near the national reservation. Hotel is cosy, it feels more like a holiday colony than a hotel rooms feel seperated so you don't feel crowded. Breakfast was great. My only suggestion would be walkin showers foe the rooms we had a showerbath combo. With some luck you can watch the nothernlights in a very clean jaccuzi.

We stayed here for one night as part of our tour with Trolls. The room was spacious with a comfy bed and all the toiletries. Loved the shower!! Breakfast was also very nice 👍 would recommend to anyone who’d like to stay here for short term.

The hotel is located in the center of the town. Very easy access to the hotel. Nearby there is a grocery store and the fantastic Valhalla restaurant. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy. Guests have at their disposal HotTube and a restaurant. Staff very friendly and helps with everything. I recommend.

Only stayed for one night but had a great experience. The hotel staff were always super friendly. There is a restaurant and bar at the hotel along with a hot tub. There are also a few restaurants/shop only a 5 minute walk away.

We stayed in a triple room which was big though shows it’s aging and required some improvement. The breakfast was great with variety of selections. Loved their different flavors of yogurt. The location of this hotel is great. It’s close to route 1. Nearby there is a Lava Center which is well worth a visit.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location in downtown Reykjavik. Walkable to everything. The hotel was immaculate, the room was great and the heated towel rack in the bathroom was awesome! Bring your own conditioner if you use that because they only give you shampoo and you only get liquid bath gel so also bring soap if you like that instead. This Hotel provided us with a fantastic stay. It is clean, the staff are very attentive but not overbearing. Our room was very clean, but there were a couple of small drawbacks. There was a small desk, but no wardrobe for clothes. It would have served better to do away with the desk and provide somewhere to unpack our cases and hang clothes. The room was a bit old and had a hospital-like feel, but the location is fantastic: right by the sea with beautiful views. The staff were extremely helpful, and the restaurant exceeded all expectations.

The rooms are located in separate buildings outside of the reception area, much like a villa-style business hotel. However, there are no elevators, only stairs, so you'll need to carry your luggage yourself.

The hotel is in a great location, next to the town church, convenient, with plenty of parking spaces, friendly staff, and many rooms. The rooms are not very big, but overall they are clean and well-maintained, and the hot water is hot enough. It is worth a try.

Following the movie "The Happy Wedding", I came to the small town of Styghiholmur on the Karsnjamena Peninsula and stayed there for 2 nights. It felt good, with convenient parking and easy access to dining in the town center.

Afterwards, we stopped by their shops, where we were welcomed by Jorge, who also works at the hotel reception.
