Reykholt, PW4J+XPQ, Kirkjubol, Reykholt, 320 Borgarbyggd, Zapadnaya Islandiya, Islandiya 🧭 Map
My husband loved this place. It’s always hard to rate these types of places because everybody’s looking for something different and it is very casual here. We loved how casual it was. The rooms were so cool. I would’ve loved to have had time to hide the area. We were very pleased with this place and would stay here again.
Good location for exploring the area. The hotel itself isn't the best. Furniture is dated, our shower was broken, we heard the neighbors clearly... The room was dirty and dusty with even some trush peaking from under the bed. The bed was comfy and the room was warm and dry. Breakfast was okay, not much choice but you won't stay hungry. The young man at the reception was super nice. All in all, we would...
Hotel in a beautiful, quiet location.
This hotel has an incredible view over the nearby river and the mountains beyond.
It is very quiet there. The beds are very soft, and some noises from the neighbouring rooms can be heard.
Breakfast was very good and in a room with a scenic view.
No Dinner was served at the hotel (end of August), we ate buffet at the Hraunfossar Restaurant - Cafe 10 km away.
We enjoyed our stay
Very helpful, friendly staff and nice, comfortable rooms in a beautiful rural setting.
Fine hotel
Room was big, but without heater.
Breakfast was small, without too much options
There were flies in the room and the shower cubicle had mould . But the staff was very friendly . The hotel /farm area is with the 5th generation of the family and exhibited lovely photos and momentous

Very cozy hotel. The Polish receptionist really improved our stay, giving us more information about the activities in the region, as well as the history of the place and current affairs. It is by no means a luxury hotel, but we had a really great time there.
Most satisfying hotel in Iceland. Clean room, nice view, kind staff. Unforgettable experience.
Crazy little find in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Clean, right in town, and the most comfortable beds we’ve had on our trip. Great breakfast spread too. But the star of the show was Patryck! He was so friendly and informative. He gave us a restaurant recommendation and it was one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at. We were asking him a million questions about the area and he answered...
Formerly a convent, this hotel was super cozy and lovely to stay at. Patrick was amazing and super friendly - he actually made us a dinner reservation at a local spot in town too! We all got excellent rest for our first night after flying and woke to a delicious breakfast buffet included with the stay. Would highly recommend if in the area!
What a spectacular find, with no reservation, at night. Wonderful location, all the history, former convent with chapel, great rooms and outstanding breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Patrick.
The hotel is located next to the harbour and is operated by Catholic church of Fransiskus.Room size is big. Breakfast is good. There is a church for prayer 24hrs at the hotel.

Thank you so much. Ms. Manager.
As your advice I saw the great aurora eventually.....(On Saturday)
And I appreciate your hospitality including a staff as well (Thanks for preparing hot spring and sauna.)
Bye....
Simon An from Korea.
We stayed one night at this hotel, the hotel is family run & is staffed. They have a hot tub & sauna available as well. The rooms are quiet, clean & cozy. Nothing super amazing about this hotel but decent. The views are pretty good from here as a river runs beside & they have a nice fountain out front. They didn't shovel the snow until much later in the day. Ample parking here for free.
Lovely staff. We really just needed a place to stay for the evening while traveling around the country. Location was easy to access for us.
Staff is very helpful. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. There is also sauna and hot spring facilities which we can enjoy a lot!
After a long day travel, we arrived early at 3 o’clock, and we’re very disappointed that we could not even sit in a lobby. Accommodations
Work great and the staff were very helpful. We were hoping to leave early to start the golden ring circle before the crowds however, breakfast does not start until 8 o’clock, which is a little late for trying to get an early start..
Clean, good condition, excellent bedroom and bathroom, quiet, good views, good breakfast
Limited supper menu, no lunch, slight institutional feel to communal areas, remote so car essential.

Very popular place to stay in Myvatn area. Very good communal kitchen. Met some very interesting fellow travellers whilst cooking dinner. Good place to stay....for sure.
I stayed in a twin room with shared facilities and had an amazing stay. The living room was cosy, the kitchen big and the shared bathroom clean. The bedroom was also spacious.
Location is perfect, in between many spots of Myvtan.
Would totally recommend
So far it was the best place we stayed in in Iceland. The room was confortable, the shared bathroom big and clean. The kitchen had everything you could need and the dining area was cosy, which isn't the case in many places. Would recommend!
No wifi working. Too small rooms with no enough hanging clothes, no shampoo or soap in the shoewr. Only three showers in the building only one hairdrayer. the reception is at daddys pizza but it was not specified and we had to call (we enter it first but no one paid attention to us)
The sleeping cabins have everything a tired traveler will need. Spacious and clean washrooms. Practical shared kitchen. Power points outside for those who wants to (slow) charge their cars. Minutes away from food. A perfect resting place for passing traveler.
House for Room 9-18 has only one shower and one toilet.

Stayed in the Aurora cabin and it was incredible. Private and cozy. Gorgeous Auroras and falling stars. Bathroom was beautiful. Floors heated throughout. The main Inn was beautiful too. Nice ambiance. Nice bar area with nice sitting area. We did not eat at the resturant, but wished we would of because it looked lovely and the dinner look good ( private Christmas party). Service was excellent. Very...
Wonderful little hotel (and a great spot to enjoy the northern lights). Dinner was a delicious soup. Breakfast tasty, too. And just a calm/calming place to be. All NL pics were taken on the property. The last one was taken through the window of our room!
Nice property out of the way. If not for cloud cover would have been perfect for the Northern Lights.
We loved our stay and your hotel. My only suggestion is to consider preserving an area for viewing the Aurora and the night sky. the area back by the hot tub would work well if the lights were changed to minimize the light interference.
One of the best hotels in Iceland, very friendly staff, Hot Tube was the best after all day hiking. Spacious rooms with great view, coffee mashine and kettle in the room, comfortable beds, great showers. Very clean. Luxury cosmetics in the showers.
Tasty dinner and a good breakfast.
Good place to see Aurora.
We will definitely return there and recomand to our friends.
Thank you for all.

A hotel experience that exceeded expectations. Located near bus stop #3, it's close to most of the recommended fine dining restaurants. The cinnamon roll bakery and the famous President Hot Dogs, also highly recommended, are nearby. Rainbow Street is about a 6-minute walk away.

Exceptional Hospitality and a Dreamy Honeymoon Stay
Our stay at the Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel was undoubtedly the highlight of our honeymoon. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were captivated by the hotel's sophisticated and timeless charm.
What truly set this stay apart was the extraordinary hospitality, including a complimentary room upgrade that made our stay incredibly comfortable...
This was a great hotel. The staff here are excellent and treat their guests as excellent as well. The rooms are big. There is no parking but you can street park or park in one of the many close parking garages (we had a large Toyota Land Cruiser that fit fine in the garage). The location is excellent, super central, you can literally walk to most of the places of interest, if you’re able. The only...
The front desk staff were rude. Someone knocked on our door in the early morning, and when we called the front desk, they said it was probably a drunk guest who had knocked on the wrong door and might be hiding in the stairwell. Their evasive answers only increased our anxiety. On our first night, we left our wet bathrobes on the floor in the basement bathtub. The next day, when they cleaned, the staff...

Easy self check in as we were late. We were lucky to sighted aurora during our one night stay there
This guesthouse-style hotel is located on the edge of town. It's generally clean and tidy, and the rooms are spacious. For the price in Iceland, you really can't complain.
Breathtaking Views, Located in Hofn town, clean, comfort and convenient, good restaurants are within walking distance. Breakfast is simple with quality good food, Free flow of drinks all day.
Super clean! All the amenities you’d need and a decent breakfast to fill you up before you hit the road. Great view as well. And prime location if you’re staying in Hofn.
A great stay to go around Hofn and the Diamond beach. It also offers breakfast which is basic things but enough for us. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the room we had was quite spacious.
We loved the Milk Factory in Höfn, Iceland. So Clean, beautiful view, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Will stay here again.

Everything is perfect except breakfast. The staffs, everybody so pretty.
Booking two months in advance costs 487 yuan more than booking last minute, so don't book too early. There are plenty of rooms available, so you don't have to worry about not having a place to stay.
We stayed at this hotel the first night on our Iceland trip. An easy drive from the airport and in a great location.
The rooms were really nice and an excellent shower. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional and service was great.
A good selection of different options for breakfast also.
We were even treated to the northern light which I was able to see from my bedroom window!
A great place to stay the night after the glacier tours. A very modern hotel that feels like a fortress. Directly across the street from the geysir. Rooms are sizable and the restaurant is good.
Northern lights were visible from the front door.
⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆
Superior outside shell — economy inside.
We arrived at the Geysir Hotel and first impressions were excellent. From the outside the property looks stunning, and the lobby and public areas are beautifully designed and feel very high-end.
We were kindly upgraded to a Deluxe Room, which offered a very generous size. However, this is where the experience became mixed.

Lovely clean hotel one of the best we have ever stayed in. Very nice staff that went out of their way to help you with anything.
Even told the lady on reception (owner?) what a great hotel it was.
Brilliant breakfast with a great choice of food. Would definitely stay here again
A lovely hotel, but improvements in storage would make it excellent. If 2 of you are staying in a double room for more than a couple of days the lack of storage is inconvenient.
Breakfast is incredible, along with the service from the staff.
We stayed at Hotel Akureyri and overall had a really positive experience. It is a really nice hotel with a great ambience throughout, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.

This hotel was very beautiful. Its location in the Centre of Akureyri. The staffs was friendly and helpful. The room was small but it is enough for 2 of us. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast has many choice. Will comeback again .

This was a nice place to stay for the night. It seemed like the hotel may have had some issues before our arrival, as the changing rooms were broken and the hot tubs couldn’t be used due to the snowfall. Which was disappointing.

Simple cottage with hot spring at the reception area. Kitchen was well equipped and managed to cook some food. However, heater in the room was not too strong. We were quite cold as the temperature dipped the night we were there. We managed to catch the aurora right from our room windows! That was only because the location was great and no light pollution around.
We saw the aurora borealis when we arrived. Make sure to arrive at this hotel early, as the front desk isn't open 24 hours. After watching the aurora for a while, we quickly checked in because the staff were about to leave. Before they leave, check if the heating is warm enough; if not, adjust the temperature while they're still there.
Wonderful place to stay! We were here for just one night and we all wish we had booked a longer stay! The cabins are so cute and have a terrific view! The staff was terrific and meals were great. They were happy to make special food items for our 5 year old.
We are very much hoping to be back here again and stay longer to really take advantage of all Hestheimar has to offer!!
The people working for the place were kind and friendly. However the owner was insane. They keep reiceving the customers even though there was serious problem in the room 4, 5 and 6 where the floor heating was not working at all.
You have to pay extra money to avoid the room 4, 5 and 6 otherwise just get the cold feet for the cold room.

Perfect spot for walking and exploring the city.
Morning breakfast was full of yummy options, and easy on the wallet. Allowing the ability to splurge guilt free on other Iclandic goodies (try the shark)

Very spacious and comfortable rooms, as are the bathrooms.
Only the soundproofing could be better.
I would like to highlight the cleanliness of the space and the included breakfast (although it doesn't have much variety, it's a nice plus in Iceland that it's included).
Since we arrived late and the weather outside was quite bad, we didn't have the opportunity to see/try the jacuzzi.

These are pretty nice rooms, and the private bathrooms were a welcome surprise.
The rooms were frigid! The interior walls were thin from room to room to the extent it is easy to hear your neighbor cough. It is possible that it is not the most well insulated.
Woke up late, the breakfast was closed.
We stayed here for two nights with our older teenage children (over 2 rooms). The rooms were very clean, had a great shower room and very comfortable beds. Everything was great but would have liked a door on the shower. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the lounging areas...
Nice hotel with great location near attractions. Room is comfortable but a little small even for family room.
Super cozy hotel, a well-known brand amenity provided.
Wifi, kettle, coffee tea are included in the room.
Super worthy to have breakfast there wif loads of option
Free parking and there’s gas station/Supermarket in the opposite .
affordable, staff very helpful an walking distance to everything in Vik. Would stay again. Free parking. Useful TV screen in lobby with weather/traffic reports to help you plan your day. hubby checked out the bar said it was great and staff were fantastic there also. Room was clean and basic as expected. no complaints
The standard rooms are small, and our shower had a curtain, so water ran all over the bathroom. It's fine for one night, but if you're traveling with a group, I recommend staying in the nearby suites at the same hotel. The breakfast is very good; they even have watermelon, and that's in winter.

Reception was unstaffed so keys just left on counter. No welcome at all. Room itself was comfortable but bathroom was a little tired. Ample off road parking and breakfast sufficient
Bedding not clean, hotel is pretty old. No service like a guesthouse instead of hotel. Shower next to toilet in one tiny bathroom, all wet after shower.
Great place to stay on the Snaefellsnes peninsula! Simple hotel and nothing fancy, but we found it clean, convenient, and quiet for an enjoyable stay. Very close to Kirkjufell, so perfect place to stay if you want to go early in the morning …

We camped here. This was one of my least favourite campsites on our ring road trip. It really wasn't clear to me where we should park based on the signs. No one was working here when we arrived dinner time to ask any questions so we just did what other campers did. But I still don't think we were all parked in the right place. Vik, Slettuvegur, 870 Vik, Yuzhnaya Islandiya, Islandiya 🧭 Map
The room was clean, breakfast was good, and they offered an aurora wake-up service at night, which allowed us to see the Northern Lights.
Stayed for two nights, there was almost no service in between, and the used amenities weren't replenished. Its only function was to be a place to crash on the way. The room given to Chinese guests was terrible, and we only got it changed after demanding it.
Had a great stay at Hotel Kria. There was a free breakfast included which had many options which was a nice start to each day.
The room itself was nice and had plenty of room.
This hotel is located right in Vik, directly across from a supermarket and a large Icewear store – even bigger than the one in Reykjavik, making it great for browsing. It's within walking distance of Vik Church, and the hotel offers an aurora wake-up service. The hotel itself is relatively new, with large floor-to-ceiling windows in both the rooms and the restaurant, offering excellent views. However...
Had a really nice stay here! Well located in Vik and the breakfast is awesome.
Hotel kria is located nearby restaurant, petrol station, and supermarket. Room is clean with great mountain view . Breakfast have many choices and yummy. We catch our northern light here. Recommend 👍🏻

Husavik, Laugarbrekka 26 🧭 Map
Cute and charming little hotel with clean rooms and a convenient location for exploring town on foot.
Love this stay, was cozy and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious!
Poor value for money
We arrived for check in and given a very comfortable, clean but basic room. Parking was just outside. Only a minor downside, as you will be aware hotels are not good value for money in Iceland, but all the TVs were being upgraded so the current ones didn’t work. For £243 per night for a travel lodge type room, everything should be working. The staff member tried to turn it on...
Great location, free parking, friendly staff.
Breakfast was excellent- lots of choices and everything fresh.
The room was very clean, perfect size with bay views.
We were offered 10% discount on a whale tour which we gladly used.
The hotel is within walking distance from city centre, but at the same time is on a quiet street overlooking the bay.
One of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. The view was amazing, the rooms were fantastic, but Eston was the real gem of our stay. A hotel manager with a passion for the Eurovision Song Contest transformed our stay into a night to remember. My wife and I spent the evening conversing and hearing his stories while we ate delicious lamb soup and drank fun themed cocktails. He also gave us all the info...
The accommodation is located right in front of the port of Husavik and is in a quiet and peaceful location. When we arrived, the hotel was unmanned, but there was a message for us at the front desk and a key, so we were able to go straight to our room. The room was warm and simple with a bed, a small table, and a closet. It would have been nice to have a small fridge to store drinks or skir, but it...
