Hotel San Pietro in Chiavari

Rooms without air conditioning and with inoperative and unusable WiFi.
Very poorly soundproofed hotel, you can hear all the noises from neighboring rooms as if you were living there.
Wifi can only be used at reception and the rooms are equipped with a fan.
Hotel very well located by the sea with a very beautiful view, but with a price much too high for such pathetic services.
Place to avoid.

Please be mindful that everyone is used to different levels of service and that Liguria is a slow paced city living stress free. With this being said, our room had a mountain view, great view but you could hear the trains, the shower in the toilet is at the same level of the floor so everything got wet. There was mould on the toilet and the room had a vinegar smell, maybe it was their cleaning product. Wi-fi didn't reach our room on the 4th floor. The staff was very friendly, specially the young guy at the reception.

Worst place I have ever been.
The stuff was extremely arogant and unpleasant liar.
She said that it we don’t like the room we can go and sleep on the beach. The rooms are not as in the pictures with dust on fan, lamp, radiator and even on mirrors.
The hotel sell rooms that are restored ( which they have only 2) and then give you the one in the pictures that I attached, explaining that the one you reserved was only promotional although it was from the section that you choose the exactly room that you want ( not from the whole base of pictures of the hotel) and with an opinion of 2 persons form booking help the conclusion was that it is attempt to deceive people. I give 1 star because I cannot give 0. The ‚hotel’ is such a big joke and people that work there should be ashamed.

While this hotel has a wonderful location it was not worth the price. One of the pillowcases had blood on it. The dinner was one of the worst we’ve eaten in our 2 week stay in Italy. While there is free WiFi, it does NOT extend to the rooms. There’s got to be a better hotel with a better deal than this one. Beware!

Poor service, no security overnight. The room had a smell of blocked drains. The bar staff tell you what to take on breakfast buffet, while other guests fill their plates. There was workmen on the first floor back balcony dressed in casual clothes and were poking around. There was no notification from the hotel that someone would appear on your balcony window. This fills you with a sense of dread, since this stranger on the balcony is not declared as friend or foe.

The room had no air con in the middle of summer in 30+ degree weather. The cleaning staff always left the bedroom window open, when clearly, anybody could climb in to balcony. Not safe at all. The front desk lady was friendly. However no option to change rooms when asked upon checking in and booking was made in almost 24hrs advance.
The shower room was never cleaned properly. The extraction fan for steam was not working and steam just contributes to a stuffy room smell.

General staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist with tourist questions.

Not a ideal holiday experience however, I was looking forward to a holiday for 2 years. I would not go back to this establishment. However, I would recommend the city as a destination.
