My feelings about when staying at any hotel one would expect the basic need of a comfortable bed, good edible food and staff who are helpful. I felt I attained all three. If you use the hotel as a base, the surroundings eg the waterfront, the views and the villages close by are a real treat and very convenient....

From the minute we arrived we were SO well looked after. Everyone says ‘Buongiorno’ when they see you at reception, breakfast etc etc So happy and friendly. We used the shuttle bus to Taormina (€5 euro per person each way) which was fantastic and very friendly drop off and collection times. What made our stay at this hotel outstanding was the staff. They made us feel welcome and looked after us throughout our entire stay. The reception team, the housekeepers and the restaurant and bar staff all made our experience exceptional. I would stay here again purely based on them!

The room is quite big. It takes 10 minutes to get to Marco Polo Airport. The hotel has a shuttle service, but it does not cover the whole day. It costs 10 euros per person. The hair dryer is very dirty. I suggest the hotel change it. The breakfast is very average.

The hotel is in a decent location not far from Trastevere. I got an older room clearly not like the ones the hotel is promoting. It had a small kitchen. But had nothing for it, not even some utensils. The room was big but dated. Wouldn’t mind staying again. My room was by the road and was a bit noisy at times from the road.

The rooms on the top floor of the building appear to have been created following an expansion that wasn't very ergonomically successful. Routine maintenance work is rough, with obvious paint chips and smudges. The room was quite dirty, especially under the bed and on the floor. The electrical system needs updating.

Everything else is good except the parking issue. Advertised as free parking but has only a handful of parking spaces available whilst there is a huge parking lot that is paid parking. Collecting my checked-in from the locker room takes a century because there is only one person manning the front desk who also handles guests' luggage.

Food not great, the pool is far from ideal and the rooms on the ground floor are a night mare as you can hear everything happening in the corridor / other rooms. To give the overall fair view, beds are very comfortable, the staff is very helpful and the airport is very close (Linate).

I looked at a bunch of hotels in Milan for New Year's Eve, and this one has a great location. Even though the hotel is a bit older, the service was really good, and the breakfast was delicious, definitely catering to Chinese tastes.

Such a lovely place sadly with so many problems. Ideal for families who speak french or Italian. If you are a single couple speaking English expect a loud experience and very little help from the staff. The rooms and the premise are otherwise great. Breakfast is also good. The small "train" to the beach is also a very nice addition.
