Location was very good close to the centre and right opposite the pedestrianised sea front. Staff were good, pool was nice and generally a pleasant stay.

Hotel has no wi fi as stated on website. The breakfast is poor. Juice machine broken. One coffee machine. Air conditioning was good. Staff friendly but just a so-so place. On seawall but in very poor part of town . Many buildings deserted and run down. The casbah is about a 20 minute walk away.

Mahara sits at the edge of the Mediterranean, along Lungomare Mazzini, a quite busy seawalk promenade. It's a large compound, with a large courtyard, used for the open air restuarant-bar. Balcony views of the volcano Etna and steps away from a piazza offering cafes, gelato, and Bar Turrisi. The little renovated farmhouse is a stand alone cottage, for those who appreciate their privacy. AC works great. Tour guides pick you up and drop you off. Bus stop at Piazza San Antonio brings up and down the mountain.

Tucked away in the heartof the magical medieval citadel of Castelmola, the Borgo Medievale offers both a comfortable stay and warm hospitality. The rooms are spacious and have cooking facilities. Beatiful garden with clean basic 3 star rooms. Room facing the street was noisy before mid night. I love the bright lamps and tea maker. But the room electric outlets are broken and dangerous. The group dinner at -1 level was okay.

The hotel is located on the main street thus too much noise. Our room was on a new section of the hotel so we had to go through the reconstruction site. In orded to use the elevator we had to wait 10min and then go up instead of down.

Fantastic location and charming staff. The best beds of the trip. Elegantly appointed and well maintained. It is a converted palazzo so the layout was a bit strange. Each of our rooms included two king beds in two generously sized rooms…one medium firm and one firm. But only one chair. There were benches too so plenty of room. The large bathrooms included only a tub with a wand and no shower. Fun watching...
