We had the Garden View rooms and I have to say I was shocked to find a very musty smell upon entering. We immediately asked to switch off the AC, the maintenance guy came and opened the AC vent which was filled with mold. The location is outstanding, the gardens are manicured to refection! It is such a treat to have a real green grass in Sicily. Nice Stay Family of four adults staying in one room. It is an older hotel and you have to drive past a depressed area, but the staff was nice, the room adequate and dinner and the breakfast was good.

We stayed here for four nights on our trip around Sicily. They have a large pool that was very refreshing since it was hot. It's a bit out of the way but an easy taxi ride to anywhere you want to go. I recommend Ortigia Island for the shopping, sights and restaurants.

Okay not great The hotel was clean and walking distance to the restaurants and shops area. However, our room did not have natural light; it was too dark and the window showed a patio that looked for storage. The landscape of the pool and beach area was dusty and with weeds.

Overall, it’s a quite pleasant hotel. The cleaning staff is awesome, and I really appreciate the service of one specific waitress who was serving us throughout our vacation. Nice pool! The only inconvenience I found was the shower in our room which was simply unbearable to deal with all the time.

A great space to relax and unwind by the pool, very calm and enjoyable atmosphere. The property itself has excellent potential given the spacious grounds and beautiful setting. However, the rooms feel quite outdated, particularly the sheets and curtains. With some investment in modernising the décor and upgrading the linens, this place could truly thrive and become a standout destination.

The Hotel Arcangelo was a peaceful haven after spending a month on hot, busy Sicily. The hotel is between Via Roma and Via Sanità overlooking the sea from above. If you have rolling suitcases, use Via Sanità to avoid the steps on Via Roma. We had booked a Superior Double Room with Terrace and Sea View. The hotel was renovated from an old post office, and it still has the characteristics of that era. But unfortunately the hotel did not put in any effort in this regard, such as arranging some guided tours.

The location is beautiful, with a private part of the beach with a small bar, and a nice pool area and restaurant on the hill above next to the hotel. The condition of the facilities was spotless, the staff friendly and the price competitive. The only thing that was not quite up to expectations was the breakfast.

Well located with private, quiet beach. Bar tenders very friendly & all employees are English speakers. Breakfast was good but limited. Two things to recommend: wifi did not work which is not expected in this kind of hotel & there is a fee for towels which is strange for being a resort. Other than that we had a great time, thanks!

Amazing hotel at the beach front of Modica with stunning views on the turquoise sea. Staff very friendly and welcoming, special thanks to Leonardo at the reception and Adriano at the bar who both made me feel really welcomed and explained a lot about the local culture etc. Will certainly be back.

Great service in a beautiful setting. It is a very nice hotel. However, there was no shampoo and conditioner. When I inquired at the desk, one of the employees went out to buy me some! Now, that is service!

Thanks to the Modica Beach resort and all it's staff for their support in organising our beach wedding. It was a fabulous day and we loved every moment. We especially want to thank the directors, the chefs, the maître d', the bartender and everyone else involved behind the scenes. We could not have had such a special day without them and can't wait to see them all again soon.
