Villa Mabel in Taormina

Staying at the Villa Mabel Boutique Hotel was the highlight of our Taormina experience. Everything about the place is exquisite: the careful renovation they did to a beautiful historic building, the tasteful and sophisticated decor, the amazing art on the walls, the comfortable room, the amazing view, the light, the atmosphere, and, finally, the kind attention of a very professional staff (with Mimma and Michele at the forefront). Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

I had an amazing experience at Villa Mabel Boutique Hotel. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The villa itself is beautifully authentic and has been recently renovated, combining historic charm with modern comfort. It’s important to note that some old photos circulating online are from a previous management and do not reflect the current look of the property. The renewed spaces are elegant, welcoming, and truly impressive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay!

The location of this establishment is highly recommended in the historic area of Taormina. There is no parking, however Port Catania was about an eight minute walk (paid parking lot). There are many steps to get to Villa Mabel as there is no elevator. We were assisted with our luggage when we departed. Thank you Mimma. The villa has lovely decor on the main floor with music playing. The artwork is unique. Morning coffee (expresso, cappuccino), juice, crossants, bread, fruit, cereals, biscotti were offered to start the day, all beautifully presented in the dining area. There was the option to sit on the balcony to enjoy the breath taking scenery while enjoying the light breakfast. Our stay in suite four, however, was disappointing. There was a hole by the sink in the wall. The shower leaked to which we were provided towels for drying the water. Although there was a quick response for caulking, the leakage did not stop. The bathroom sink also leaked from underneath leaving the basket under the sink (having toliet paper) wet. The bedspread was changed twice due to it being soiled. I did not expect this given the amount paid for our three night stay. WIFI ended up not working on our second day. Our balcony was lovely capturing a picturesque view of Taormina. For our anniversary, we were gifted with Italian cookies which was a very kind gesture. .

Air conditioning and refrigerator. The villa has parking, if free, you have to ask. Very close to the old historical centre.
