Agriturismo Torraiolo in Barberino Val d'Elsa

We rented the villa for a week and it was wonderful. It really felt like we were living in this beautiful area ourselves. We'd never had such a spacious terrace with such a stunning view. San Gimignano was clearly visible. The peace and quiet were also perfect, as there were only neighbors 200 meters away. In short, highly recommended. We will definitely return.

Time has taught me that hard earned holiday opportunities are precious, so much changing world to see in so little time that it rarely makes sense to 'go back'.... and yet I find myself here yet again in this Tuscan valley where time stands still and the people I meet from across Europe make their own return, year after year, feel like a secret that I shouldnt really share. Having lived, worked and travelled across Italy over more years than I care to admit this Agriturismo with it's timeless vineyards and olive groves feels like 'coming home' and captures the most authentic Italian experience imaginable. A serene walk up the hill to the historic cafés, bars and restaurants of Barbarino Val D'Elsa or short drive to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano and Siena are just distractions from the tranquility of the dappled shade of the pristine pool and breathtaking views from the clean and spacious farmhouse style apartments. If the Italian sun is such that you might need Aircon, or that your time is so limited that a day or two of the thunderstorms that keep Tuscany so green (or even making the Italian coffee that can only come from a moka pot!), might frustrate your plans, then perhaps this one lies a little further down your road...more for travellers than tourists but to each his own and whatever your needs and expectations no one could be any less than enchanted by this magical place....

We had a wonderful stay at Agriturismo Torraiolo this summer. Great location in Tuscany, near Florence, Piza, Siena and other great sites. Very hospitable place, we felt like we were at home. Large apartments with all necessery amenities, great pool, great views, you can rest there, lower your stress level looking at Hills filled with olive trees and grapes. Very good communication with hosts, special thanks to Concetta for organising our stay and beeing ready for answering to our questions. We hope to see You again in the future.

Spent a week in the fabulous villa. Amazing location for a holiday break. The villa was stunning and gave an authentic Tuscany experience. Spotless clean, with amazing living rooms and bedrooms, with the largest terrace imaginable. Terrace used for breakfast, lunch, dinner, BBQ's, just chilling or star gazing at night time. Pool just a short stroll from villa, was never crowded. We accessed beds and umbrella's every time we visited. Concetta was the best of hosts and always available to assist, when required. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Stunning experience from start to finish.

Great stay in Tuscany countryside! The host was very friendly and offered us a wine bottle on arrival. They have a nice pool with amazing views of the surrounding hills.
