We stayed for two nights and were very impressed with ease of checking in instructions.
Lovely room, loved the pillows and the bathroom! Great breakfast and pretty little terrace to enjoy spring sunshine!
Easy 25 mini walk to the bustle of Florence and some lovely little bars, restaurants and cafes in the area of hotel.

Very nice hotel, offers more then i thought. Also pizzeeria right next to the hotel pizz'adoro has one of the best pizzas in whole tuscany.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Hotel Emma Small Luxury Hotel. I find it highly inconsiderate not to clearly inform guests at the time of booking that there are two full flights of stairs to climb with heavy luggage, without any assistance or alternative offered.

The room had significant issues: the shower water pressure was extremely weak; the bathroom had no exhaust fan; and there was virtually no privacy, as we could clearly hear people having breakfast.

Our experience was limited to entering and leaving quickly, as it was uncomfortable to stay in the room. Even so, we had to go up and down two flights of stairs several times carrying two 30 kg suitcases, one small 16 kg suitcase, and two backpacks — a very embarrassing and exhausting situation.

I hope this message serves as a warning so that such information is clearly communicated to future guests and that improvements are made to the facilities and services.

We arrived for a 4 night stay at Hotel Emma. We couldn’t get in through their dirty and poorly maintained front entrance with prearranged access code as it was faulty. Hotel is tired and definitely only 1-2 star. Staff friendly enough but not overly helpful. The biggest problem is the distance to the city centre of Florence. More than a 35 min walk through back suburbs of Florence. We didn’t feel safe even during the day. It would be bus ride or taxi in and out of the city. We made the decision to relocate closer to the city and forfeit the full accomodation price for 4 nights.

I had a reservation with them for months with a credit card guarantee and a confirmation from them saying that the reservation was accepted. Then days before arriving they sent an email asking for credit card information once again. I called and spoke with a woman that said she was the manager. She was by far the rudest person I’ve ever spoken with. She tried to get me to email my credit card information including PIN number. That’s a clear sign of fraud ! As soon as I mentioned credit card fraud, she hung and refused to answer the phone. Beware she may be running a scam so you HAVE been warned ! There are many wonderful places to stay in Florence but this isn’t one of them… Read about this place in online scams before deciding….

We loved Hotel Emma. It was clean, the rooms were beautiful, and most importantly, the staff were kind and helpful. There is a cute outdoor seated area to have a coffee on. The walk into the the city was enjoyable. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is not recommended for people with reduced mobility due to be in the 3rd floor with stairs. There ´re two rooms in the breakfast area separated with a door so be prepare for some noise activity at 06:30AM. Poor Breakfast with canned fruits and some corn flakes & choco chips. The picture of the exterior balcony doesn´t reflects the reality.

What a lovely boutique hotel. Rooms are small, but comfortable and clean, staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating, breakfast was wonderful. It is about a 20-25 minute walk from downtown, but a nice quiet alternative, with wonderful nearby restaurants and shopping. Our trip started in Florence, we then went to Sorrento and back to Florence for a night before heading to Rome. We cancelled our downtown hotel and came back to Hotel Emma. Wonderful value for what you get.

I stayed in this property for 2 nights, from 16 to 18 December, with my wife. From the outside the hotel looks dated, but once inside it changes completely. The room was tidy, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is in two star standards. The center can be reached by bus (stop a few steps away), but also on foot. Excellent location for those who need to go to the stadium. Excellent value for money. Very helpful staff
