Borgo Grondaie in Siena

This hotel is in beautiful surroundings and close to the station and a big store. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
The place is also a walk up a very steep driveway and there is no help to negotiate this if you’re not driving or have mobility problems.
The en-suite bathroom was too small and crowded. It was difficult to get in and out of the shower because of the sink and a towel rack. It was also difficult to position on the toilet as space was so tight. If they removed the bidet and the towel rack under the sink that would help.
It has a wonderful outdoor swimming pool in a great location. However its underused because its not heated - it was really quite cold - but I went in anyway!
There isn't an on-site restaurant, but they do a great breakfast selection. And in the evening they will do a plate of cold meats and/or cheese and bread, if you just want a light meal.

We had a fantastic time at Borgo Grondaie staying in the Cipresso apartment. We travelled with a 3 year old child, and they were very accommodating. The pool was beautifully maintained and in a great location in their extensive gardens. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and all spoke excellent English. The quality of the cleaning was excellent and the kitchen in the Cipresso apartment was very well equipped.

The country villa style is beautiful and unique, and the service was satisfactory. They were very considerate and helped solve any problems you mentioned. Breakfast needs to be booked the night before. There is parking and a kitchen.

I stayed here for one night during my road trip in Tuscany. Unfortunately, the weather was gloomy and rainy the whole time. After checking out, I took a short walk around the hotel and discovered their beautiful garden with a great view overlooking the city. Further up, there is also a swimming pool. It’s a shame that the weather was so bad, but I can imagine how wonderful it would be to spend time in the garden on a sunny day.

The staff were very warm and friendly, and the room and facilities were excellent. The hotel has its own parking lot, which is perfect for travelers on a road trip. The breakfast was amazing.

If I visit Siena again, I will definitely stay here.

This is tremendous value if you are on a road trip, particularly with children, looking for a base in Tuscany. The apartments are spacious and excellently furnished. You can easily prepare your own meals if desired. There is lots of space outside with tables, chairs, pool, etc. There is a washing area. The hotel is in the country just outside Siena, but 3 minutes walk from a huge modern Coop supermarket. It is 10 minutes walk from the main train and bus station. It is easy to visit Florence, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, and Pisa or Perugia (both by FlixBus) from here. The breakfast is enjoyable. The fruit salad and prosciutto especially good. If a buffet does exist, it will be in summer. Breakfast must be chosen the night before in person or by internet. This is not the first time we have encountered this system in Italy, and for us it is not a problem. The rooms are super hot in winter (too hot for us but this is easy to fix via the heating system and windows). They are also big on deodorants — again windows help. The clientele seem a nice mix, with other families present. The dining area has lots of board games available.

Very good. If you have enough time, it is recommended to stay a few more days and drive around. Very welcoming. The breakfast is rich and delicious.

The B&B is on a hillside, with nice views and facilities, very tastefully decorated in a classical style. The air conditioner was not hot, but it was solved after communication. It is a very good hotel, but ordering breakfast is a bit troublesome. You have to order it the night before, and the English menu is a bit difficult.

I am satisfied. The room was cute and clean. When I checked in, the room was warm and there was something like aroma burning. The staff was polite and very kind. I had a hard time opening the lock. (This may have been my problem, but I really had a hard time opening it lol) It was a 15-minute walk from the station, and the location was not bad.

The room facilities are complete, exquisite and elegant, the service is very good, the breakfast is exquisite, and parking is convenient.
